4: I work using downhole acoustic tools that map these fractures and in my work in the barnett marcellus and watenburg fields, there has always been at least 4-5 thousand feet between the top of the fractured zone and the deepest freshwater aquifer

there's so much containment on our pads it's ridiculous. We use great measures to contain any spills, leaks, etc. So long as the well casing is done right, there is no contamination to the water table, because we're fracing a mile plus down hole. What's also funny is that nobody cared before when they were using resources mined from far off lands that destroyed someone elses land, but now we're all environmentalists because it's in their backyards. Hypocrites...

If people would take the time to learn how wells are constructed they would realize that the chance of fracturing fluids escaping into the water table is extremely minimal. There are three sets of casing and cement barriers that line the wellbore to depths well past the water table. Another thing that no one mentions is that the fracturing fluids are being injected at depths of 8,000 ft and below. That's close to two miles below the water table. Learn the facts!!!!
