If those boys didnt took MJ's father MJ wouldve been with the Bulls to win in 94 and 95. If the owner didnt let Phil go, Spurs and the Lakers wouldnt won titles.
Stop comparing Lebron, Kobe and others to Jordan. The fact of the matter is that there still isn't another player so dominant in the game of basketball as Jordan was during his career. Watching one Jordan game and one Kobe or Lebron or whatever game you will see the difference. Other than physical qualities - his mental strength and charisma are unrivaled.
Jordan was the most articulate athlete ever. I've never heard a more well-spoken, true to the heart man than Michael Jordan about his life as an athlete. I feel like everything he said had a purpose and commanded attention and inspired thought. I have nothing against LeBron or Kobe, but neither of them have ever, or will ever sound this wise and humble. Athletes these days are too busy pampering their peers with compliments in an effort to sound humble.
Man. People think dominating the NBA in your mid 30s is easy because Michael made it look that way. Kobe's career is done. He's too old now. He will get no more rings. Look at Allen Iverson whom I considered to be a better player than Kobe. Mark my words. When he retires and I was right, you can come back and like my comment.
Michael looks tired in this interview. He was simply the greatest in any sport. I don't think there has ever been a player like Michael Jordan in any sport period. There is so much that can be said about him but i'll just leave it at that.
yup.. he shoulda stayed with the cavs in my opinion, they coulda won a championship in a matter of years easily if they made a few adjustments and kept working together to get better.. cavs had the most game wins in the season before lebron left, that's how u know that they were almost there.
"Nothing, but Michael created his own style of play that was influenced by the greats before him. Kobe on the other hand COPIES Michael to an astonishing level that its not even funny."
This is funny. Oh Jordan was influenced....but he just created everything.....sure. Jordan TOOK from previous stars just as Kobe and others have done. Before anyone argues, yes Jordan is the best, but give credit where it's due. Dr. J and all the others game helped Jordan become what he was.
very true.. michael idolized julius erving (hence michael performed the free throw line dunk in the dunk contest, which emulates dr.j). also michael was brought up playing against legends such as magic and larry and other great players from the past. influence is always trickled down through the generations
I am taking it as far as I need to, so that people understand. People are so quick to write Jordan off, like he never acheived greatness. Everyone is so quick to compare Lebron to Jordan or Kobe to Jordan, why? None of these players have had the impact on the game like Jordan, so why should they get the recognition. Before Jordan "Big Men" were the bossess of the basketball court. Kobe owes his whole style to Jordan (finger waving, tongue out), as far as Lebron, he needs a championship first.
Jordan and the Bulls are the only team that went undefeated in the NBA Finals. That alone makes Jordan the greatest player ever, and for these little kids to compare Bryant to Jordan is a fucking insult to him and to the game of basketball.
@KQH8 dont take it to far its wrong but not really an insult or does it mean anything to the game...but to be honest kobe is to be compared to mj despite me agreeing that mj is way better but kobe is a beast as well
@OceanW4ter Kobe said he doesn't wanna be MJ, sure he takes a lot of his stuff but MJ got his from Dr. J so for you to say some stupid ish like that is ignorant
@djismike What did Mike get from Dr. J? DJ couldn't shoot a lick. Step back J? No. Back down fade away? No. All MJ's go to moves were not from DJ. Sorry.
@brv29 that woudl be true if we were going back in time as a universe. but sadly only you are
kobe is a wanna be and thats more pathetic than him losing up 3-1 pissing away two finals with shit play, forcing shaq out, missing the playoffs and getting 1 mvp and that was a hand out
ATTENTION ARE YOU THE GREATEST DANCER, SINGER, PERFORMER, RAPPER, BEATMAKER,MUSICIAN, ENTERTAINER, IF SO MAKE ME A FRIEND SAYS 1ST GAY RAPPER ON YOUTUBE
@GunsNRosesbitches and what is wrong with kobe emulating michael. kobe idolized mj. tell me what is wrong with trying to be like the greatest player to ever play the game. and dont tell me its not "original" because kobe has many signature moves on and off the court.
@NarutoKun00 Nothing, but Michael created his own style of play that was influenced by the greats before him. Kobe on the other hand COPIES Michael to an astonishing level that its not even funny. His shot is nearly identical, his fadeways are directly from Michael...even the subtle things Kobe still does it like Mike. Kobe should create his own style of play that is recognized as Kobe Bryant...but nope, its just a mere shadow of Michael Jordan.
@GunsNRosesbitches HEY, if you can , why not? WHY NOT try to be as good as mj. IF YOU CAN, WHY NOT try and emulate the great mj ,or the great magic j, or larry bird, etc. Kobe had the talent , skill, and mental capabilities to do so. so why not? every kid in the world whos ever watched basketball , knows who mj is. dont you think they ever tried to copy jordans moves? and if you say no , then ur a retard. kobe was still a "kid" when he came into the nba, and even in interviews kobe would say
What cracks me up at 0:16 is at the exact same time Jordan says he's old they put up his stats for the series: 32ppg, 4.8reb, 2.3ast. Not bad for an old man
Today's players get blown waaaaay out of proportion and it's sad what has become of the league with these sissified rule changes. I don't want to sound disrespectful, but honestly sometimes I get real mad when I hear these little brats even DARE to compare their favourite players to old greats like Magic, Bird, Kareem, Hakeem, Malone... let alone the GOAT MJ.
.
Today's game is not what it used to be and the end of MJs carreer with the bulls was like a symbol for the end of the golden age NBA.
@megatroll I hate how everyone thinks no one in the modern day is better than someone in the 80's. Ah, they are so UNTOUCHABLE. Dude Craig Ehlo is better than Kobe. Stfu
Seriously, I play and watch basketball for 2 decades and I can assure you today's players are horribly soft. I'm not exaggerating here. A bulky guy with a perfect post game/shot like Karl Malone would be an embarrassment to todays league.
@megatroll It's called you miss the 80's. That's what's wrong and that's why you don't like these days of basketball. It's called memories. This generation will always love modern basketball so you can shut your old ass up
What you declare "modern basketball" has nothing to do with how the sport was determined to be played. It's a soft league with a huge lack of fundamentals. Look how many people turned to college basketball these days. Today's NBA is a sad media driven circus for hivemind kids who don't know any better.
@MsFuckduck It's a guard's game, out of necessity. Not for the betterment of basketball. When your best center is a 6ft10 poser with massive arms and no clue about offense, whose game is based on dunking, why would throw the ball in the low post? There are no Hakeems or Ewings or Robinsons anymore, which is sad.
And to say it's a guard's game like it's a good thing..please. 85% of the NBA is great athletes with fundamental weaknesses in their games. Even Lebron is one of them.
@megatroll Shut up, if you love MJ so much then stop talking about this era. I love the new players but I'm not up their ass the way you're up MJ, Magic and so on so forth. Lol damn I swear you guys are queer.
@megatroll I disagree. Although NBA is not exactly what it used to be, the play style has changed, there are more dunks and glamour and stuff, you can call it bragging, or you can call it emotion. And there are still many great talents today such as Howard, LeBron, Wade, Rose, Bosh and many more. And there will always be more.
Michael Jordan was great, but you should understand that NBA is always changing. That's what's great about it.
@likethehotties I think Sam Smith hit the nail on the head in an article last week:"Many of the NBA's stars have transcendent talent, but they lack the will and desire to stand up for anything but their own comfort. You wish somewhere along the way someone was able to coach and teach them, but they probably never had the desire or inclination." He puts Lebron, Dwight, and Chris Paul in this category. He seems real competitiveness in Kobe, Rose, and Durant. Interesting article.
@likethehotties the question is... did the NBA really needed this change? ans is NO! u said "glamour"? last time i checked, glamour is manifested "outside the playing court" and never during game time... something that players of today seems to thrive for. your NBA of today has become a joke...
changes are good but it must be for the better and never for the worst where u actually kill the true essence of what u are trying to improve... your NBA of today has failed u bigtime!!!
Championships doesn't really mean nothing in terms of comparing Jordan vs Kobe... Because neither player didn't start winning until Phil Jackson came along. Jordan wasn't winning with coach Doug C. Remember Jordan lost to Detroit, and Boston Until 7yrs into the league he got his 1st ring. Kobe is Kobe, and Jordan is Jordan. Both players are great players, and are the greatest to play in THEIR TIME!..
I've been watching the finals games with the jazz latley. Utah def gave them the best challenge, they ever faced. Most games had lead changes and were won by only 2-4 points. I would have wanted utah to win if they played anyone but the bulls. that warm-up he's wearing at 2-14 is way cool. I own that shirt!
Kobe was a role player for most of his championships, and Lebron will probably take that route for a few of his. One things for sure, by the time its said and done, he'll probably have more championships, MVPs, and Finals MVPs to his name than Kobe. Will you still say Kobe is the better player? Probably. My point is, Lebron is a great player. And SO is Kobe.
@NBAGOATS lol NO kobe was a number two, sometimes number one option with ONE Other great player, he was still young, kobe in HIS PRIME led the lakers to two more championships, lebron in his PRIME quit on his team and the city that embracd, he said not only do i need one other superstar and mvp candidate...i need TWO. Again all these legends have bashed him recently cuz he showed them as well as all the fans that hate him now hes not cut from the same mold as magic, bird, kobe, mj..hes a joke.
@bigbossman999 Kobe didn't lead the Lakers. SHAQ was ALWAYS THE PRIME on that Lakers team. Your love for Kobe causing you to say some things i've NEVER heard of. Shaq all 3 finals MVP awards = leader. lol,...are you kidding? You really love Kobe.Lebron has achieved things at his age that Kobe could only dream of. And yes Kobe does have 3 superstars depending on who you're asking. 1 in the making and 2 already established. Artest won the biggest game of Kobe's career. Where was kobe? 6-24
And i'm not even a Lebron fan. Its just that Kobe homers feel that if anyone don't feel as emotional and passionate about Kobe Bryant, they must be a Lebron fan. I'm sure when everyone look up the vids for themselves they will see that you are just some ignorant, over infatuated Kobe homosexual fan. And that you speak primarily through your deep seated emotions, that cause you to deny the truth and reality. ; )
Kobe also started the grueling NBA schedule at a younger age than MJ. So his decline is on schedule. Next year it will only get worse. You're gonna cry injuries but what you fail to realize is that injury is apart of the decline process. Its what finished off many greats. Once the injuries starts its difficult to stop. Kobe is still having problems with his fingers and wrists. Its wear and tear that can't get better with time. In the end, Kobe's numbers will speak. Like with WILT and MJ
You can't name 1 bad player with GOOD stats or efficiency. EVERY great player that has ever played any sports had great stats to go along with their greatness. Kobe is no exception. In the end, his numbers will speak for him just like it has for every player that has ever played any sport to date in human history.
@NBAGOATS are You KIDDING me? Kobe had probaly one of the worst teams ever assembled in 06 and still managed to take an powerhouse suns team to a game 7..smush parker, chris mihm, briance cooke? Please LOL. all that changed for kobe was he got ONE truly good player and that was enough to make it to the finals and then win two more. By comparison magic had THREE hall of famers and michael had an awesome number two in pippen, kukoc, rodman, one of best rebounders ever, sharp shooter kerr
imagine kobe responding to these questions. he wouldn't even listen to ahmad and just spout out unrelated answers. kobe thinks he is a god, mj is a god.
@dschultz6072 mj was a great player, that doesnt take away from kobe, everyone knew mj wouldnt be the end all be all of basketball, when you see what kobe has accomplished and how he can top jordan and get 7 rings, people understand that more clearly.
@bigbossman999 7 rings mean nothing. When Kobe get 6 Championships with Jordan's efficiency and acknowledgements and accolades i'll give that some thought. Kobe just has a great team. He's not even the most efficient player on his team whereas MJ was ALWAYS the most efficient on his team. Kobe missed the playoffs. MJ never has even with a worse ball club going up against some of the greatest teams of all time.

Wow,...looking into MJ's eyes at 5:03. This man has seen some amazing things and has exp. and created some of the most amazing sport moments in basketball. Nothing but respect for him. He reached a scale that no other basketball player has reached other than Wilt.
Wilt accomplished some great things but the league wasn't as competitive as it was when Mike played. The talent level back then wasn't the same either so i'd say MJ is still on top. Although I haven't really seen Wilt play so i guess i'm being kinda biased but it's hard to imagine because this man was amazing!!!
@KobeSpawn ...of today's league. Nobody in their right mind with basketball knowledge would call him the greatest player ever. He's had a prime of 5 or so seasons, since Shaq left. He won three titles as Shaq's caddie and he has failed miserably in big games during playoff time. Great player, yes. But he's no Jordan. In my book he's no Kareem either. Kareem was unstoppable for two decades without charter flights, with the best move ever, the sky hook. So Kobe has ways to go to be the best Laker.
@75samuel75 are you crazy? and what exactly is your book?? id rather go with the "book" of larry bird, jerry west, magic johnson, michael jordan and otehr hall of famers who have said he is the greatest laker of all time, 14 nba seasons, 5 championships, leauge mvp, 3 time all star mvp, most 50 point games behind jordan and chamberlain, 81 point game, most points socred at msg, 61, and ONLY 31...give me a break man.
@bigbossman999 What do you mean ONLY 31? Look at every player in the NBA. They start declining at age 30 -31. Its apparent in Kobe's game today. He has great moments. But if you look at his numbers they are dipping at a steady rate. I know Kobe fans hate stats. But Stats with all players shows them at their best and during they're decline. Its a steady gauge for every player that has ever played. Jordan is the most efficient player ever. Wilt is next, then it goes down the list.
@NBAGOATS yeah every SCRUB player who doesnt condition themselves, just like back in day with barkley, payton, etc...but guess who did? MJ, in fact jackson said kobe works out harder and is in even better conditioning then michael was at this age, and seeing how their styles are EXTREMELY similar and kobe is yes ONLY 31 and extremely well conditioned, watch him ride off in sunset in same manner as jordan, you haters gotta get it thru your head, you can love michael AND still love kobe..
@bigbossman999 Kobe is on the decline. You can try and plug in whatever statements you want about conditioning etc....His performance speaks for itself. The best way to gauge his performance? Look at the data. In fact, Many polls are saying that Kobe is not even the best SG in the league. And that he passed the torch to Wade 2 years ago. How he's slower, less mobile as before. To support their claim, look at his Efficiency. Its been at a steady decline since 05-06 now at its lowest.
@NBAGOATS LMFAO polls?...ya 31.2 ppg last year in playoffs compared with 30.1 this year is HUGE decilne, well you can factor in account last year he had ONE broken finger and this yeah he had TWO lol, give me a break, hes one of greatest players ever, for me michael will always be the best, but im not such a obssesed, deluded jordan fan that i cant see kobes greatness, u wanna talk about polls? how about jordan himself, bird, magic malone, jerry west...all say kobes currently best..get over it
@bigbossman999 Actually 2010, Magic, Bird, Jerry West all says that Lebron is the best player in the NBA. I never seen where malone called Kobe the best. Jordan was quoted saying that Kobe was better but imo, I think Jordan realizes that Lebron can go down as the GOAT. Kobe is basically done. So of course he'll say he's better than the potential GOAT. I'm not a Jordan fan. I'm a Wilt/Shaq fan who also appreciates all great players. Including Kobe. But he's not as great as MJ. Period.
@NBAGOATS are you crazy? LFMAO ok to EVERYONE who reads this whose not a CRAZY lebron fan, please go to youtube and search for bird magic lebron and see what the LEGENDS say about that chump then look for what they say about kobe, jerry west just came out a month ago and said kobe is the best player in teh leauge, michael said last month. I c now you're a lebron fan, and thats why youre so mad. Well im sorry but the "prince" LeChoke gave up his crown to dwayne wade...hes the biggest joke in nba
@bigbossman999 Am I crazy? Apparently you're the one off your rockers. I saved MAGIC JOHNSON'S VID calling Lebron the best player in the NBA on my vids. OR you can type it for yourself - "Magic Johnson calls LeBron James the best player in the NBA April 17, 2010" - Also 2010 Larry had this to say - "Larry Bird says "LeBron James can go down as the greatest of all " I think the rest of us is aware of what Jerry West has said stating that he would take Lebron over Kobe any day. Need more?
@NBAGOATS ya how about you tell truth and say what they said RECENTLY, after le joke proved to everyone he doesnt haev heart or will to lead a team. Type in jerry west kobe best laker, a MONTH ago jerry west was on jim rome and said kobe was best laker of all time and best player in leauge, type in kobe magic conversation where magic said that bird said kobe was best player in leauge and his fave player..u really think a ringless joke like lebron can compare? he needs two superstars to win hah
@bigbossman999 And Kobe doesn't? Artest is arguably the best defensive player in the game. Gasol is a superstar in his own right. And Bynum is a dominant big man when he's healthy. Kobe killed Odom IMO. In any other setup Odom would be a star. He's an ex Olympian and allstar, and is a better raw talent than Pippen. The Lakers have proven to be more efficient WITHOUT Kobe. The only thing I give Kobe is a few big 4th quarters and his last minute shots. Other than that he's inefficient.
@bigbossman999 Everything that I stated is from 2010. What DIDN"T I tell the truth about? Now one of 2 things about Magic and Bird, Jerry West. Either they are not viable due to going between the 2 players over and over again, OR they Kobe and Lebron is neck and neck. Lebron had 2 former Laker HOF players prefer him over Kobe at one time or another. Both are over hyped IMO, Kobe has 2 championships to his name and Lebron is working on getting his.
@NBAGOATS no that was in 2010..but BEFORE lebron got a sissy elbow injury and folded in playoffs..adn BEFORE lebron made biggest disaster decision in history. Everoyne type in malone, bird, magic, mj lebron, you'll seee what the legends said about him a few weeks ago, i luv especially how they called him "classless" and how jordan said not only kobe was better, but jordan wuldve never formed a team with bird and magic...of course not mike you were a true competition..unlike leJOKE
@bigbossman999 - Whats been proven here is that you love Kobe so much that you deny certain realities. Like the fact that Shaq was the leader on all 3 of those championship runs. That Kobe has other superstars on his team who are more efficient than he is. That if those superstars were not on his team in game 7 (for sure) he would not be champion because he came up FLAT. He's great, but he's no Jordan thats for sure. His peers are right there with him. Probably better in most eyes.
@NBAGOATS lol he should play the stat game too. then jordan would REALLY tear into kobe. kobe doesn't have shit on jordan be it offensively, defensively, or rebounding. kobe's also a shit team player compared to jordan. kobe has a team that just buys him great players. jordan built his team around him and LED them. kobe's BEST team (the one with shaq or the one today) would be like a middle school team compared to the 96' bulls because JORDAN led that team. to the best record EVER.+6 rings
@jonnieos I agree with you, but 6 wins is not the best record ever. The Celtics have 17, and the Lakers 16.
The Bulls run in the 90s was incredible. I remember it well and followed all of the Bulls games (attended one and my sign got read on TV by Johnny Red Kerr :P).
@NBAGOATS You know all of these comments were pretty pleasent and peaceful until i came across yours. Stop trying to compare players because it's obvious that different eras come into play and each player has his own individual talent. Your comment makes no sense the Lakers average points as a team not by one man, i don't think Phil Jackson can have a team function like that. So my friend please your research on facts before posting. BUT I RESPECT YOUR OPINION
@bigbossman999 Jordan is no Julius Erving, Bill Russell is no Larry Bird what's your point? And I am going to mention this, it takes a fucking team to to win games, I think that you forget Jordan got nowhere before 1987. Phil Jakson had built a team around mike to help him win, Horace Grant, Scottie Pippen, John Paxson etc.. There were many games when Jordan WAS OFF.PIPPEN AND THE TEAM HAD TO STEP UP FOR HIM.jordan even said he couldnt have won it without scottie.SO THERES A REALITIY FOR YOU.
I think Michaels knowledge about the game was already maxed out and complete he just didn't realize it that he's already mastered the game, he proved it in game 6 against Utah when they won the title!
how do you tackle in bastketball?plz tell me i am good at passing and shooting but i ant played in like a year and i lost my power(i went into soccer).
Todays players get paid too much too early, before they even accomplish anything. Thats why these KIDS are kids, and the players of the 70's - 90's were men.
True today's players rely on athleticism and on their own talent, however they fall short on how they approach the game mentally. What separated players from the 90s from this decade is the fact most players not only relied on their talent to be great but also approached the game with a high degree mentally. Today's players really don't know how to dominate the game mentally. Hakeem Olajuwon is a prime example he was able dominate the game both physically and mentally from the center position.
I totally agree, but, who can blame them..? Before they've even got to the summer session, they're already in possession of fat juicy contracts..! Where does the motivation come from then..? Guys in the 90's had to EARN those contracts, and when you understand the philosophy of earning, your character and personality blossom. Nowadays guys don't even care if they never see the playoffs as long as they ride lambos. the only guy who still carry that spirit in the entire league is KG! Peace
@LeeDiddy990 Also the referring bails them out but what about this floppin crap and all this crying about i was fouled or i didn't foul drama. Just watch a lakers game and the biggest crybabies kobe gasol and fisher come on if your good why use these tactics.
@LeeDiddy990 That may be the case with a lot of the league, but there are still a lot of veteran players who have the same mental approach as the bests of the past, Kobe, Garnett, Duncan, Nash etc.
Bullz management destroyed the dynasty what fools after winning 6 titles in 8 years wants to just start from scratch. Would have liked to see Jordan and pippen vs Shaq and Kobe in the finals,Tho the bullz would be pretty aged by then
Jordan chose to retire because management wasn't going to bring Phil back and hire a new coach. which is dumb ass hell to bring in someone new after you just won 3 straight rings.
yea i know...how stupid was the bulls for doing that....even if Phil wanted more money, GIVE IT TO HIM!!!! he just your organization 6 championships and they were two 3-peats
Never. He is basketball. He set the bar, Those who say they are "The next Micheal" are just those who are trying to meet his level. That's how I see it at least.
n whoever gives me a thumbs down 4 defending Larry Bird is out of their mind too. Larry Bird, one of the top 5 best players in NBA history...wud struggle making the allstar team today lol all u guys r funny. Real funny
You wouldnt notice but Ahmad Rashad and MJ are great friends
franchisejr15 1 week ago
If those boys didnt took MJ's father MJ wouldve been with the Bulls to win in 94 and 95. If the owner didnt let Phil go, Spurs and the Lakers wouldnt won titles.

Stop comparing Lebron, Kobe and others to Jordan. The fact of the matter is that there still isn't another player so dominant in the game of basketball as Jordan was during his career. Watching one Jordan game and one Kobe or Lebron or whatever game you will see the difference. Other than physical qualities - his mental strength and charisma are unrivaled.

Man. MJ says it all at 2:35. Lebron did not take note of that. Even Kobe wanted to get traded back in 2005-2006 or so.

NarutoKun00 8 months ago
@NarutoKun00 Nothing, but Michael created his own style of play that was influenced by the greats before him. Kobe on the other hand COPIES Michael to an astonishing level that its not even funny. His shot is nearly identical, his fadeways are directly from Michael...even the subtle things Kobe still does it like Mike. Kobe should create his own style of play that is recognized as Kobe Bryant...but nope, its just a mere shadow of Michael Jordan.
GunsNRosesbitches 8 months ago
@GunsNRosesbitches HEY, if you can , why not? WHY NOT try to be as good as mj. Today's players get blown waaaaay out of proportion and it's sad what has become of the league with these sissified rule changes. I don't want to sound disrespectful, but honestly sometimes I get real mad when I hear these little brats even DARE to compare their favourite players to old greats like Magic, Bird, Kareem, Hakeem, Malone... let alone the GOAT MJ.
.
Today's game is not what it used to be and the end of MJs carreer with the bulls was like a symbol for the end of the golden age NBA.
megatroll 1 year ago 28
@megatroll I hate how everyone thinks no one in the modern day is better than someone in the 80's. Ah, they are so UNTOUCHABLE. Dude Craig Ehlo is better than Kobe. Stfu
MsFuckduck 7 months ago
@MsFuckduck
Did I say that? No!
Seriously, I play and watch basketball for 2 decades and I can assure you today's players are horribly soft. I'm not exaggerating here. A bulky guy with a perfect post game/shot like Karl Malone would be an embarrassment to todays league.
Live with it.
megatroll 7 months ago
@megatroll It's called you miss the 80's. That's what's wrong and that's why you don't like these days of basketball. It's called memories. This generation will always love modern basketball so you can shut your old ass up
MsFuckduck 7 months ago
@MsFuckduck
Ignorance speaks.
What you declare "modern basketball" has nothing to do with how the sport was determined to be played. It's a soft league with a huge lack of fundamentals. Look how many people turned to college basketball these days. Today's NBA is a sad media driven circus for hivemind kids who don't know any better.
megatroll 7 months ago
@megatroll We have 6'8 centers these days in the NBA. Wtf no fundamentals stfu
MsFuckduck 7 months ago
@MsFuckduck
There are no centers anymore.
Like I said, ignorance speaks...
Don't waste my time.
megatroll 7 months ago
@megatroll Ok loser because it's a guard game these days. What's wrong with that? Ah, you fucking degenerate
MsFuckduck 7 months ago
@MsFuckduck It's a guard's game, out of necessity. Not for the betterment of basketball. When your best center is a 6ft10 poser with massive arms and no clue about offense, whose game is based on dunking, why would throw the ball in the low post? There are no Hakeems or Ewings or Robinsons anymore, which is sad.
And to say it's a guard's game like it's a good thing..please. 85% of the NBA is great athletes with fundamental weaknesses in their games. Even Lebron is one of them.
75samuel75 4 months ago
@75samuel75 Ok Jon Barry. Go on with your poor analysis

@megatroll Shut up, if you love MJ so much then stop talking about this era. I love the new players but I'm not up their ass the way you're up MJ, Magic and so on so forth. Lol damn I swear you guys are queer.
The1Heart1 6 months ago
@megatroll I disagree. Although NBA is not exactly what it used to be, the play style has changed, there are more dunks and glamour and stuff, you can call it bragging, or you can call it emotion. And there are still many great talents today such as Howard, LeBron, Wade, Rose, Bosh and many more. And there will always be more.
Michael Jordan was great, but you should understand that NBA is always changing. That's what's great about it.
likethehotties 2 months ago
@likethehotties I think Sam Smith hit the nail on the head in an article last week:"Many of the NBA's stars have transcendent talent, but they lack the will and desire to stand up for anything but their own comfort. You wish somewhere along the way someone was able to coach and teach them, but they probably never had the desire or inclination." He puts Lebron, Dwight, and Chris Paul in this category. He seems real competitiveness in Kobe, Rose, and Durant. Interesting article.
pheeel17 2 months ago
@likethehotties the question is... did the NBA really needed this change? ans is NO! u said "glamour"? last time i checked, glamour is manifested "outside the playing court" and never during game time... something that players of today seems to thrive for. your NBA of today has become a joke...
changes are good but it must be for the better and never for the worst where u actually kill the true essence of what u are trying to improve... your NBA of today has failed u bigtime!!!
wornoutshoes11 2 months ago
Championships doesn't really mean nothing in terms of comparing Jordan vs Kobe... Because neither player didn't start winning until Phil Jackson came along. Jordan wasn't winning with coach Doug C. Remember Jordan lost to Detroit, and Boston Until 7yrs into the league he got his 1st ring. Kobe is Kobe, and Jordan is Jordan. Both players are great players, and are the greatest to play in THEIR TIME!..

NBAGOATS 1 year ago
@NBAGOATS lol NO kobe was a number two, sometimes number one option with ONE Other great player, he was still young, kobe in HIS PRIME led the lakers to two more championships, lebron in his PRIME quit on his team and the city that embracd, he said not only do i need one other superstar and mvp candidate...i need TWO. Again all these legends have bashed him recently cuz he showed them as well as all the fans that hate him now hes not cut from the same mold as magic, bird, kobe, mj..hes a joke.
bigbossman999 1 year ago
@bigbossman999 Kobe didn't lead the Lakers. SHAQ was ALWAYS THE PRIME on that Lakers team. Your love for Kobe causing you to say some things i've NEVER heard of. Shaq all 3 finals MVP awards = leader. lol,...are you kidding? You really love Kobe.Lebron has achieved things at his age that Kobe could only dream of. And yes Kobe does have 3 superstars depending on who you're asking. 1 in the making and 2 already established. Artest won the biggest game of Kobe's career. Where was kobe? 6-24

NBAGOATS 1 year ago
You can't name 1 bad player with GOOD stats or efficiency. EVERY great player that has ever played any sports had great stats to go along with their greatness. Kobe is no exception. In the end, his numbers will speak for him just like it has for every player that has ever played any sport to date in human history.

bigbossman999 1 year ago

KobeSpawn 2 years ago
Wilt accomplished some great things but the league wasn't as competitive as it was when Mike played. The talent level back then wasn't the same either so i'd say MJ is still on top. Although I haven't really seen Wilt play so i guess i'm being kinda biased but it's hard to imagine because this man was amazing!!!
moneyman237952 2 years ago
@moneyman237952 - Yea, but Kobe's still on top.
KobeSpawn 2 years ago
@KobeSpawn ...of today's league. Nobody in their right mind with basketball knowledge would call him the greatest player ever. He's had a prime of 5 or so seasons, since Shaq left. He won three titles as Shaq's caddie and he has failed miserably in big games during playoff time. Great player, yes. But he's no Jordan. In my book he's no Kareem either. Kareem was unstoppable for two decades without charter flights, with the best move ever, the sky hook. So Kobe has ways to go to be the best Laker.
75samuel75 1 year ago
@75samuel75 are you crazy? and what exactly is your book?? id rather go with the "book" of larry bird, jerry west, magic johnson, michael jordan and otehr hall of famers who have said he is the greatest laker of all time, 14 nba seasons, 5 championships, leauge mvp, 3 time all star mvp, most 50 point games behind jordan and chamberlain, 81 point game, most points socred at msg, 61, and ONLY 31...give me a break man.
bigbossman999 1 year ago
@bigbossman999 What do you mean ONLY 31? Look at every player in the NBA. They start declining at age 30 -31. Its apparent in Kobe's game today. He has great moments. But if you look at his numbers they are dipping at a steady rate. I know Kobe fans hate stats. But Stats with all players shows them at their best and during they're decline. Its a steady gauge for every player that has ever played. Jordan is the most efficient player ever. Wilt is next, then it goes down the list.
NBAGOATS 1 year ago
@NBAGOATS yeah every SCRUB player who doesnt condition themselves, just like back in day with barkley, payton, etc...but guess who did? MJ, in fact jackson said kobe works out harder and is in even better conditioning then michael was at this age, and seeing how their styles are EXTREMELY similar and kobe is yes ONLY 31 and extremely well conditioned, watch him ride off in sunset in same manner as jordan, you haters gotta get it thru your head, you can love michael AND still love kobe..
bigbossman999 1 year ago
@bigbossman999 Kobe is on the decline. You can try and plug in whatever statements you want about conditioning etc....His performance speaks for itself. The best way to gauge his performance? Look at the data. In fact, Many polls are saying that Kobe is not even the best SG in the league. And that he passed the torch to Wade 2 years ago. How he's slower, less mobile as before. To support their claim, look at his Efficiency. Its been at a steady decline since 05-06 now at its lowest.
NBAGOATS 1 year ago
@NBAGOATS LMFAO polls?...ya 31.2 ppg last year in playoffs compared with 30.1 this year is HUGE decilne, well you can factor in account last year he had ONE broken finger and this yeah he had TWO lol, give me a break, hes one of greatest players ever, for me michael will always be the best, but im not such a obssesed, deluded jordan fan that i cant see kobes greatness, u wanna talk about polls? how about jordan himself, bird, magic malone, jerry west...all say kobes currently best..get over it
bigbossman999 1 year ago
@bigbossman999 Actually 2010, Magic, Bird, Jerry West all says that Lebron is the best player in the NBA. I never seen where malone called Kobe the best. Jordan was quoted saying that Kobe was better but imo, I think Jordan realizes that Lebron can go down as the GOAT. Kobe is basically done. So of course he'll say he's better than the potential GOAT. I'm not a Jordan fan. I'm a Wilt/Shaq fan who also appreciates all great players. Including Kobe. But he's not as great as MJ. Period.
NBAGOATS 1 year ago
@NBAGOATS are you crazy? LFMAO ok to EVERYONE who reads this whose not a CRAZY lebron fan, please go to youtube and search for bird magic lebron and see what the LEGENDS say about that chump then look for what they say about kobe, jerry west just came out a month ago and said kobe is the best player in teh leauge, michael said last month. I c now you're a lebron fan, and thats why youre so mad. Well im sorry but the "prince" LeChoke gave up his crown to dwayne wade...hes the biggest joke in nba
bigbossman999 1 year ago
@bigbossman999 Am I crazy? Apparently you're the one off your rockers. I saved MAGIC JOHNSON'S VID calling Lebron the best player in the NBA on my vids. OR you can type it for yourself - "Magic Johnson calls LeBron James the best player in the NBA April 17, 2010" - Also 2010 Larry had this to say - "Larry Bird says "LeBron James can go down as the greatest of all " I think the rest of us is aware of what Jerry West has said stating that he would take Lebron over Kobe any day. Need more?
NBAGOATS 1 year ago
@NBAGOATS ya how about you tell truth and say what they said RECENTLY, after le joke proved to everyone he doesnt haev heart or will to lead a team. Type in jerry west kobe best laker, a MONTH ago jerry west was on jim rome and said kobe was best laker of all time and best player in leauge, type in kobe magic conversation where magic said that bird said kobe was best player in leauge and his fave player..u really think a ringless joke like lebron can compare? he needs two superstars to win hah
bigbossman999 1 year ago
@bigbossman999 And Kobe doesn't? Artest is arguably the best defensive player in the game. Gasol is a superstar in his own right. And Bynum is a dominant big man when he's healthy. Kobe killed Odom IMO. In any other setup Odom would be a star. He's an ex Olympian and allstar, and is a better raw talent than Pippen. The Lakers have proven to be more efficient WITHOUT Kobe. The only thing I give Kobe is a few big 4th quarters and his last minute shots. Other than that he's inefficient.
NBAGOATS 1 year ago
@bigbossman999 Everything that I stated is from 2010. What DIDN"T I tell the truth about? Now one of 2 things about Magic and Bird, Jerry West. Either they are not viable due to going between the 2 players over and over again, OR they Kobe and Lebron is neck and neck. Lebron had 2 former Laker HOF players prefer him over Kobe at one time or another. Both are over hyped IMO, Kobe has 2 championships to his name and Lebron is working on getting his.
NBAGOATS 1 year ago
@NBAGOATS no that was in 2010..but BEFORE lebron got a sissy elbow injury and folded in playoffs..adn BEFORE lebron made biggest disaster decision in history. Everoyne type in malone, bird, magic, mj lebron, you'll seee what the legends said about him a few weeks ago, i luv especially how they called him "classless" and how jordan said not only kobe was better, but jordan wuldve never formed a team with bird and magic...of course not mike you were a true competition..unlike leJOKE
bigbossman999 1 year ago
@bigbossman999 - Whats been proven here is that you love Kobe so much that you deny certain realities. Like the fact that Shaq was the leader on all 3 of those championship runs. That Kobe has other superstars on his team who are more efficient than he is. That if those superstars were not on his team in game 7 (for sure) he would not be champion because he came up FLAT. He's great, but he's no Jordan thats for sure. His peers are right there with him. Probably better in most eyes.
NBAGOATS 1 year ago
@NBAGOATS lol he should play the stat game too. then jordan would REALLY tear into kobe. kobe doesn't have shit on jordan be it offensively, defensively, or rebounding. kobe's also a shit team player compared to jordan. kobe has a team that just buys him great players. jordan built his team around him and LED them. kobe's BEST team (the one with shaq or the one today) would be like a middle school team compared to the 96' bulls because JORDAN led that team. to the best record EVER.+6 rings
jonnieos 1 year ago
@jonnieos I agree with you, but 6 wins is not the best record ever. The Celtics have 17, and the Lakers 16.

@NBAGOATS You know all of these comments were pretty pleasent and peaceful until i came across yours. Stop trying to compare players because it's obvious that different eras come into play and each player has his own individual talent. So my friend please your research on facts before posting. BUT I RESPECT YOUR OPINION
backdraft1420 1 year ago

Guys in the 90's had to EARN those contracts, and when you understand the philosophy of earning, your character and personality blossom. Nowadays guys don't even care if they never see the playoffs as long as they ride lambos. the only guy who still carry that spirit in the entire league is KG! Peace

Would have liked to see Jordan and pippen vs Shaq and Kobe in the finals,Tho the bullz would be pretty aged by then

jordan chose to retire tho

Jordan chose to retire because management wasn't going to bring Phil back and hire a new coach. which is dumb ass hell to bring in someone new after you just won 3 straight rings.

yea i know...how stupid was the bulls for doing that....even if Phil wanted more money, GIVE IT TO HIM!!!! he just your organization 6 championships and they were two 3-peats

he said today at his camp when asked that he wasn't ready to retire and wanted to go for the 7th ring

what an amazing perspective on basketball he has. i don't think there will be another player with the type of mental approach to the game that he had

Never. He is basketball. He set the bar, Those who say they are "The next Micheal" are just those who are trying to meet his level. That's how I see it at least.
