  • 哈哈

    都是外國人欸ˊˋ!!

  • amazing just amazing

  • @JayyFizzle mos def - wylin out

  • MJ father!

  • he was awesome i love him :)

  • 3. Magic Johson

    2. Julius Erving

    1. Larry Bird

Thats all i have to say

  • 240p we meet again...

  • He is no scalebrine

  • bankin in 3s!

  • Somebody asked me when black became cool. I tell 'em to look up Dr. J. and Walt "Clyde" Frazier.

  • Erving was chosen by Milwaukee Bucks in 1972. as their 1st round 12th pick . He could have been Kareem's and Oscar's teammate , instead he signed with Virginia Squires .

  • LBJ is slick, but this is still my favorite SF of all time. He transcended the game also. Dr. J...too smooth.

  • i wish i can still see him play. his so smooth

  • An awesomely clever player!!!

  • If you look closely, Lebron Traveled.

  • kareem just took more shots talent shoulda played for celtics! can onyl imagine if he had played with soemone to dish or coach pound it inside to him nonstop

  • Dr. J made every play look smooth as hell. His movements don't ever look forced or like they've been practiced hundreds of times. Know what I mean?

  • Name of the song??????

  • @teddet87 mos def - wylin out

  • Que hijo de puta, como jugaba este loco!!!

  • His signature layup is the best ever...

  • Dr.j was highlight offense but d was laking

  • @kenny964 Not true. Julius was listed in the Guiness Book for his equal defensive game that didn't get acknowledge because of his offense game. His defense rivaled his offense.

  • Dr J wasn't as cocky as MJ

  • What people forget or don't know is that Dr J was MJ before MJ. If Dr J was playing today he would be making some serious paper. Dr J was Shawn Kemp before Shawn Kemp with 8 children of his own.

  • the blue, red, white ball reminds me of the Harlem Globtrotters LMAO.

  • saw 1:00 at 'Everybody hates Chris'

    UNBELIEVABLE!

  • ANYONE KNOW HE NAME OF THE SONG IN THIS VIDEO??????????

  • wow, all of ya shut up about whos the best and enjoy the horrible graphics

  • Jordan copied from Worthy, Johnson, Erving and other players. He says it in his books. Jordan wanted to play for the Lakers.

  • @Pre00 nice try, everyone knows mj is the best ever!

  • Jordans better

  • Jordon ain't shit compared to Dr. J..anyone who knows bball knows this

  • @Pre00 nice nice.

  • I used to look forward to seeing him play back in the day. Then i would go to school and try to copy his moves.

  • Hey guys Michael Jordan may be the undisputed KING of Basketball, but Dr. J IS the undisputed GOD FATHER OG! He was OG! And of course WILT is the undisputed FREAK of basketball (but that's another topic all together.) LOL! But please remember this, without Dr. J there would be no Michael Jordan, no Kobe, no Dwyane Wade, no Lebron James. Dr. J was the reason why MJ quit playing baseball & persued basketball.

  • @mrshutter77

So true - Dr. J is MJ's father!

  • I have never seen any reverse layup like the one he did at 1:00 in this video, his hands are so big ! lol

  • @QballerAxl Except maybe the one at 1:39!

  • He should be proud to teach the prophecy of basketball.

  • The GODFATHER of mastering the dunk!! PERIOD!! He invented the term " Getting POSTERIZED" ,long before it was ever a common term on ESPN.His game was poetry in motion. His game was beautiful in the purest sense.I'm glad I grew up in the 70's and got to watch it .... Thanks,Dr. J.

  • 1:53 better than MJ's baseline dunk in my opinion

  • skip to 0:39 for the basketball..

  • Every M needs a J

    Michael jordan (Dr.M)

    Julius Erving (Dr.J)

  • He is the guy who made dunking famous because he could get so much time in the air before actually dunking

  • Shaq said it best when he said "Michael Jordan was just the hip-hop version of Dr.J!"

  • Dr. J revolutionized the dunk. Then MJ just got nasty with it. Much credit to the Dr.

  • 'oh shit, is that the rim? better duck'

  • Name of the song - artist?

  • @Jayzbeez1991 mos def - wylin out

  • Unbelievable fro.

  • Black Jesus?

  • @masstakilla nah, JESUS!

  • @tagyrdtboomboom WHATS THE NAME OF THIS SONG!!!

  • @rocketmaster06 mos def - wylin out

  • @masstakilla lol i know but have you seen He Got Game, i was on my Denzel tip

  • @masstakilla nah that was Earl 'the pearl' Monroe.

  • dope mix

  • i love this video....what more to say.. this man is my favorite player

  • Dr. J was amazing.

    I remember when he played.

He was at his best with the Nets in the ABA.

    Awesome video.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • The Doc's highlight @ the 2:00 marek has to be the best dunk of all time. he peeks at Coop, teases him by showing him the ball, cradles it and with two of the longest and graceful strides you would ever see....anatomically perfect....fluid.......agressive.....poetic.........Smashes on Coop's head LOL.

  • @tahzmahalz ikr

  • One of the best videos I have ever seen on Dr. J!! I remember his battles with Bird and Magic back in the day!!

  • I always thought they played in slo mo as a kids. They played smooth.

  • song sucks dix

  • this video would be the greatest if it was better graphs..but still awesome

  • He doesn't jump, he levitates.

  • blaze no one talks about how original MJ is. hes crowned the greatest bball player of all time with good reason. dont come to the dr j video bashing him after you just got done sucking him after you saw him do a nice dunk

  • 1:00 is my favorite Dr J move!!

  • His afro pwns.

  • See this is the thing that i dont like! I hate how MJ is crowned so original when in fact most of his "moves" are taken from Dr.J or some other legend before him! Yet, we still look at MJ as the most original basketball player ever! Then comes Kobe and takes moves and gestures from MJ and now everyone brings it out. Hmmm i love MJ truly but I mean EVERYONE has taken moves from someoe else so why dog on KB but not MJ?

  • theres should be some P-Funk All-Stars in the background....you know........

  • 2:50 damn! He looks like he has a long ass arm!

  • these are them. "OOHHHH SHIIIIIIITTTTTT" dunks

  • He looks like Jimi Hendrix! lol

  • @Tadini23

    Nope, Jimi looks like him.

  • @Tadini23 Jimi Hendrix looks like him*

  • i'm pretty young but I hate how all the old players highlights are in slow motion. It's hard to judge their agility and coordination

  • @mjordan1998 Don't judge, just respect em' for what they do do.

  • DOC examplified Class on the Court So Gracefull and smooth with his moves! DR J transcend the game of basketball with his electrifying dunks and moves! Doc also was able to show fans a different brand of basketball by bring the street gm to the structure hardwood! There will never be Another D O C

  • the greatest afro you will ever see

  • Why were most of these against the Lakers? Although I'm a Lakers fan, Dr J. is an iconic basketball player nonetheless.

  • The Song Is Mos Def - Wylin Out

  • whats the name of this song

  • How do you stop that??????

  • razedbeds has it right. The early 70's when Julius was young, he could really soar. His legend was even greater because few people around the country would see him, but just hear about him. He won a couple of ABA championships for the Nets, and his play was indescribable, in what was a very concentrated, competitive league. The memories of certain moves are vivid from my youth. What a gem!

  • 1:42

That can't be done man, that just can't be done.

  • Michael Jordan-Greatest All around player

    Dr.J- Greatest Dunker

    Larry Bird-Greatest Shooter

    Hakeem Olajuwon-Greatest Big man

  • The shot at 0:52 is ridiculous!!!

  • dr j = jimi hendrix of basketball

  • Everytime I see this, I'm still stunned by his talent!

  • Luckiest thing for me when I was 13/14 was cable - just NY stations, playing the Nets 2,3,4 times a week. Doc would regularly take off from the foul line, but more, he'd bring the finger rolls. He could put the ball so softly off the glass, or finger roll from 8 feet and just slide it in.

I love the still in this video of him dunking with the top of his afro even with the rim, and his man's head about waist high. Class and style. Not the greatest, but the greatest for me when I was a kid.

  • Imagine if he played his full career in the nba, dear god.

  • whats the song. it goes great wit the video

  • @nuthman18 mos def - wylin out

  • its all in the shorts when there were small shorts we had good players that were entertaining to watch like magic johnson dr.j kareem abdul jabar now with the long shorts you see players that when you watch them you dont feel the emotion in watching them there good but boreing

  • Pure crazyness. ;D

    IIIIIII <3 Doc J

  • @willsmackyoudown Thats the only thing they have in common is free throws.Type in Wilt greatest scoring machine ever, and get your education. They fouled Wilt, but Wilt was shooting mainly jumpshots that year. Wilt was fouled alot, if Wilt could shoot free throws he would've averaged 60ppg.That concept was around before Shaq was born.

  • only fags bicker about who was better when they were both obviously good. stfu and respect both of them.

  • you're the fag. Two sports fans debating is normal, jackass

  • How on earth could Shaq=Wilt, when they play differently.LMAO

  • No... like I said two years he did not have HOFers. Sorry to break that to you. Shaq = Wilt because of their dominance. Both cant hit free throws to save their life. And if the hack a Shaq concept was being used back then like they did today with Shaq... you can kiss that 50 PPG season goodbye.

  • this cats hands are gigantic

  • 2:46 ddd dd dammn checK out the finger roll homies!!

  • his dnks are beautiful

  • Dr. J was arguably better than MJ, but they were both great, its a matter of opinion

  • Really Dr J played defense? No he didnt. You're right its opinion but if your opinion is Dr J is better than MJ than you're on crack

  • @willsmackyoudown ,I can say the same for you,if your opinion that MJ is better, then you are on crack. Dr.J did play defense. Dr.J could pull rebounds at will. You dont know about Dr. J. When two great players go head to head, no one stops the other. Dr. J's best pro season 32ppg and 15reb, those are monster numbers for a small forward. Dr. J played his best ball in the ABA

  • MJ was arguably the greatest ever. I don't deny that, but to suggest that someone else is better isn't a crime. You got that, you brain washed, clueless knuckle heads.

  • I never said that, but Dr. J influenced Michael Jordan, he is the father of Michael Jordan's style. I said the Doctor was arguably better and thats that, suck it up

  • Dude? Yeah go to NBA. com and check out the 60's/70's decade. It was called the run and gun era because they shot more than any other era in history... with the worst FG%. So what do tons of missed shots mean? More rebounds. Come on man. Wilt Chamberlain was pulling down 50 rebound games? Don't you think thats a little insane? And he wasnt the only one. Kareem played in the 70's and was averaging 16 RPG. 16! And you ever seen Kareem play you know he was a weak rebounder.

  • Dude. Check every superstars stats back in the 70's everybody pulled down monster rebounds. The game was played at a much faster pace back in the day. No one capitalized on Defense.

  • No, it has nothing to do with a faster pace, it has to do with skills, stop making excuses. They played defense back then. There are teams and players in every era that dont play defense. Dont tell me the Cavs with Craig Ehlo gave MJ defensive problems or Reggie Miller who wasnt athletic, but truly talented in his own right. Teams always capitalized on defense in every era.

  • @tuzwol actually he is right. The style was different back then. There was no box out for rebounds. The offensive team would shot, and miss, and didn't even bother to get a offensive rebound, so it was easy for the best defensive rebounder to get a lot of rebounds. The offensive team would miss a shot, and immediately go back to defense on the other side of the floor. NBA is slower pace with the exception of a few teams, where NBA "ACTUALLY" boxes out for rebounds.

  • The best shooters come from the 60's and 70's. Kareem was better in the 70's, he was more agessive. Kareem in the 80's was older and not as athletic or as agressive. Wilt could pull 50 rebounds now, it is, what it is

  • @willsmackyoudown Dr. J was a great defensive player, and rebounder too. If you include the ABA Dr.J is actually ranked pretty high in offensive rebounds. MJ was a better post up player, where Dr.J was mainly crafty with the finger roll. MJ can play with his back to the basket, and pick his shot selections against the defense, or drive to the basket. He had many options. Dr. J mainly drove to the basket, and finish strong with the finger roll. MJ is better though.

  • lol Wilt could not pull down 50 RPG today. This is why people argue over youtube. hahah. If I put Shaq back in the 60's he would average just as many rebounds, If not more. I can honestly say Shaq = Wilt but saying Wilt can come in today and average 50 PPG is fucking ridiculous

  • @willsmackyoudown No Shaq wouldnt, becuase he only averaged 30 plus minutes per game. They were different players Wilt shot Fadeaway jumpshots, and finger rolled the ball from 8-9feet away. Shaq overpowers his defender and then dunks. Shaq had to be close to score, Wilt didnt. Wilt could pull down 50 rebounds in a game, he would average 50ppg, especially if he played for the Golden State Warriors or Phoenix Suns with their run and gun style of play.

  • Bill Russell won two championships without HOFs. I believe 64 & 65? Either way it was two years in the 60's.

  • No, Bill Russell always had Hall of Famers around him. For all of his championships, all 11 of them

  • And about Bill Russell, those years you mentioned he played with Sam Jones who averaged 25.9 ppg and John Havlicek who averaged 18.3 ppg and Tom Heinsohn who averaged 13.6ppg. Like I said Russell always had weapons and a great coach

  • Dude. he would not average that much. What do you not understand about this. He averaged that many points off of his offensive rebounds. Did you look on that website? No. The 60's had the worst FG%. They shot like 30 more times compared to the 80's 90's and today. It was crazy. Why do you think the Celtics won all those years?? It was because they actually played defense. Thats why Bill Russell was the man. Wilt might.. might average 35 PPG at his best season today. Only cause he ran the floor

  • it had nothing to do with offensive rebounds, you havent watched him play so you obviously know nothing about his skills. The Celtics won because they had multiple hall of famers. Bill Russell played with 9 hall of famers thats why he's the man. Wilt played defense arguably better than Russell. Wilt would average 50ppg with ease. Becuase he could run the floor, exactly now you're starting to see the light

  • Genius, they did foul Wilt to stop him, the Celtics went for his weakness.Russell had hall of famers throughout his whole career

  • CHRIS PAUL

  • what song is thisssssssssss????

  • #1 Jordan

    #2 Dr.J

  • dude dr. J was michael jordan before michael jordan was michael jordan.

  • michael jordan was dr.J end of it lol

  • 0.59

    amazine

  • Just search the comments for the song... It's "Wylin Out" by Mos Def.

  • i kno its off topic but what is the name of this song

  • @1592crs mos def - wylin out

  • damnit if he didint dunk that much he would be better than MJ cuz of his knee injury

  • Dr.J was the greatest of his time, he changed the game of that era..Michael Jordan was the greatest of his time! He changed his era, and changed the way the game is played today. Kobe is the greastes of his era. Every one of these guys is great in their time, who is the greatest of all time.........it's impossible to say, would Michael have been as good if Dr.J didn't inspire him?

  • you know strangely what your saying makes sense there really is no greatest opf all time

  • looks like everyone got upset about my list of truth.

  • if u look closely anoth player that Dr. J influenced to me is Allen Iverson. If you look you'll see alot of the same types and styles of moves

  • The original dunkmaster

  • If you compare hoopsencyclopedia's 2 videos to this vid you can definitely see how MJ's game was heavily influenced by Dr. J. Don't get me wrong, MJs the GOAT, but it's just interesting to see how everyone's game was part of an evolutionary track.

  • sorry lake not like

  • i like dr.j he is great and i really lake his dunks

  • rock the cradle

  • I think that even though Michael is considered the greatest player, Dr. J is more legendary.

  • @AtEchoOff

yeah well mj got his moves from dr. j. thats y. . .and no one compares to these two guys grace n ball handling skills in the game and i don't think no one ever will. . .luv it

  • @AtEchoOff Haul ass...MJ is more legendary because he is the greatest! Get off J's dick!

  • @AtEchoOff Micheal jordan Is better tho. but tht doesnt mean i dont like Dr. J either

  • @AtEchoOff SIKE!

  • what song is this plz tell me

  • @samidaram mos def - wylin out

  • 2:02 Oh shhhhhhiiiiat thats the move!!!!!!!!

  • Slick and Smooth Sytle!!!!!!!!!

  • Julius Erving is a great player Humble and never show boated. I feel however his best was when he was on the New York Nets. ABA For life!!!!. However the 1977 Sixers were the greatest collection of talent and man the Doctor was the icing on the Cake!!!. Even though they lost to portland they were the greatest team of that year.

  • I would have loved to see him play... but i'm an 80s baby

  • @lank05 ...and? dr J won his championship in the 80s

  • 2:03-2:15. A real symbol of 70's in many ways.

  • 1. Jordan

    2. Kobe

    3. Wilt

    End of story

  • wow you cant have kobe and wilt on the same list this is a guard and a center cant be compared

  • The only one I disagree with you on is Tim Duncan. Mr. Fundamental, yes, but there are too many other good players mover valuable. I'd replace Duncan with Kobe, at #9. Love the other picks!

  • No the top 10 list goes like this

    1) Michael Jordan (highest PPG at 30.1 with .500 FG%, also one of the greatest perimeter defenders ever)

    2) Wilt Chamberlain

(30 PPG career, led the league in assists as a center, averaged 50 PPG in one season)

    3) Kareem Abdul Jabbar

(has the most points in NBA history, possesed the greatest shot ever)

    4) Bill Russell (most championships of any player, the greatest defender in the game, the anchor to the boston dynasty)

  • i think the 1 in 2000 or 2001 with vince carter was pretty good,, wen he did the 360 and the thru the legs reversal.. it was raw

  • at 1:53. best in game dunk ever. he reminds me of lebron. but the doc dunks better.!!!

  • dude leb can neva ever dunk k that though his has som good powerjams but he always does the same thing..
