This is and has been one of the finest shows of art and talent that has ever been put on television- would to God that it would be put on dvd... saw this when it came out, and have been trying to find it ever since- well, at least I can see it on YouTube...Thank You for posting something that I loved to watch

Baryshnikov does so much WORK, and puts so much into it... and so much energy, charisma... gives so much happiness, it's amazing, I can't describe it. He is one of my idols, and it takes a lot for me to admire and love someone so much.

This was when Baryshnikov was regarded as the world's greatest dancer, and justifiably so. Liza still had it as a performer, before her personal problems derailed her. We shall not see such likes again.

ok, minelli rocks, but man... even in this setting baryshnikov just SHINES and personifies grace, making a regular step appear as if he's not bound by gravity. sigh. perfection, control, beatu and grace. the man's the perfect dancer.

@baddie ... this is not easy to find on vhs or dvd. It's one of my favorite shows of all time. I have a copy from when my grandparents taped it off the tv- in 1980. And have a newer copy of the copy. I wish I could get an official, remastered, copy of this. Ive considered making more copies of it to preserve it. Perhaps it's time to do that. :)

Watching Baryshnikov explains the assignation, "simply the best." It's evident that every cell of his body is inhabited by the flow, discipline, strength, and flexibility of dance. "Just like butter."
