I am absolutely positively stewing with hatred of San Diego right now... tongue in cheek of course. Paris is one of my top 3 favorite PW songs. I'm still hungover in the figurative sense after 2 consecutive shows in San Francisco... We got, over the course of 2 shows, the following Lycanthropy songs: A Boy Like Me, Pigeon Song, To the Lighthouse, Don't Say No, The Childcatcher, and Wolf Song. But no Paris... CURSE YOU SAN DIEGO!!!
HEY YOU GUYS GOT AUGUSTINE TOO! DON'T EVEN YELL AT ME! :P Paris is top three for me too, but so's Augustine and Pumpkin Soup, neither of which I thought he played live. OH WELL. but OMG!!! Don't Say No!!! REALLY? I AM JEALOUS TOO! If only we could all go to all the shows, no? or if he'd just go through every song he's ever written at every concert....man, how exhausting would THAT be?
It would be worth it: my concert companion was so pissed I didn't tell her about the Vegas show, because she would have driven down in a heartbeat. I'm in the doghouse for that one. And of course, the one year I DON'T go to Sasquatch, PW is there... grrrr.
I meant more like how exhausting for him, but how lovely would it be if he could do that forever? I'm just super grateful he added so many west coast tour dates, you know? and hey, if your friend was so upset, why doesn't she keep track of his tour herself? hee.
Did he do Libertine? If ANYONE got that during this tour, I'm going to be pissed. IT WAS ON OUR SETLIST, but he couldn't play it because the bloody violin player up and left the night of our show... so mad. Sorry about Augustine... hehehehe. That was amazing. Teignmouth too ;-)
he played the Libertine in LA when Una was still with them but he didn't play it in San Diego, which was the first show she didn't turn up for, btw. I didn't get it on video though. He would pick up his ukelele to start it and kept forgetting the chords. It took him a few different tries. It was still pretty awesome though. sorry to upset you. I suppose you got Augustine and Teignmouth and I got Paris and the Libertine. *sigh*
patrick wolf is awesome... his music makes me sad and happy at the same time...WOW
