Thanks, I don't have the patch uploaded, but its fairly basic, just some filters, delays, amplitude modulation, tremolo, etc. Most of the load for this setup is on the synthesizer.
Amazing mate. Love it. I'm currently building from collins book - a must for any electronics freaks. Just starting to get my head around max/msp. Have you put any patches out there?
Though I commonly use microcontrollers in my work, there are none in this setup. I get the photocell data into max by a hacked PC game controller which I have replaced the 2 joysticks with photocells. The data is then brought in to max using the "hi" object and decoded from there. There is a good explanation on how to do this in Nic Collins book "Hand Made Electronic Music"
Thanks, i already download the book, all the histories about early electronics on it almost make me cry. I´m from venezuela that explain may poo english.
I don't have much to add to the discussion here but wow. I imagine you've heard of Blindoldfreak. I watched this video with my jaw dropped and open the whole time. Damn blindoldfreak commented you. You are awesome man.
i built that simi-modular synth using mostly circuits found in Nic Collins "hand made electronic music" book. I also have a controller for max/msp that i built out of a PC game controller. and there is a box that amplifies waveforms from my computer to use as control voltages. check out that book, tons of good stuff.
THAT.... was awesome! nice one.

Did you use any microcontroller (Pic or Arduino) to make this thing? How do you get the info from the photocells to Max? I like your gear!

I'd kill to be able to build stuff like this.
I'm only an electronics no0b :(
Your set up kinda looks like mine, most of the music I make is done on my bed. Good job!

id love to see a description of what each thing is.. did you design all the circuits or are they CGS+other online things?
