  • THAT.... was awesome! nice one.

  • This needs a drum machine :)

  • really neat sounds!

  • buy a drill

  • yes.

  • Nice one geez top stuff. have you put your max patch out there by any chance?

  • Thanks, I don't have the patch uploaded, but its fairly basic, just some filters, delays, amplitude modulation, tremolo, etc. Most of the load for this setup is on the synthesizer.

  • That was so AWESOME! I had goosebumps the entire video.. :O

  • Amazing.

  • OH my god. SHit that was good. I'm still in feeling trancy.

  • do you work for black mesa?

  • Amazing mate. Love it. I'm currently building from collins book - a must for any electronics freaks. Just starting to get my head around max/msp. Have you put any patches out there?

  • Did you use any microcontroller (Pic or Arduino) to make this thing? How do you get the info from the photocells to Max? I like your gear!

  • Though I commonly use microcontrollers in my work, there are none in this setup. I get the photocell data into max by a hacked PC game controller which I have replaced the 2 joysticks with photocells. The data is then brought in to max using the "hi" object and decoded from there. There is a good explanation on how to do this in Nic Collins book "Hand Made Electronic Music"

  • Thanks, i already download the book, all the histories about early electronics on it almost make me cry. I´m from venezuela that explain may poo english.

    Salud y anarquía

  • sick bro!

  • que hermosa forma de partículas...

    muy bueno el gránulo..

  • This is amazing.

It reminds me of Pink Floyd.

  • I don't have much to add to the discussion here but wow. I imagine you've heard of Blindoldfreak. I watched this video with my jaw dropped and open the whole time. Damn blindoldfreak commented you. You are awesome man.

  • I know what you mean! Alessandro Cortini gave him props! crazy!

  • wow this is so amazing! Can you give me a quick debreifing on what is behind all that? I'd love to try an attempt at the creation of one.

  • i built that simi-modular synth using mostly circuits found in Nic Collins "hand made electronic music" book. I also have a controller for max/msp that i built out of a PC game controller. and there is a box that amplifies waveforms from my computer to use as control voltages. check out that book, tons of good stuff.

  • I've got my aluminum foil hat and tecnicolor cape on

  • this thing is awesome...nice metalsound generator!

  • I'd kill to be able to build stuff like this.

    I'm only an electronics no0b :(

Your set up kinda looks like mine, most of the music I make is done on my bed. Good job!

  • id love to see a description of what each thing is.. did you design all the circuits or are they CGS+other online things?

  • its a combination of circuits i learned in school and some circuits I made up.

  • that's fuckin' awesome spacy stuff man!

    keep on the fantastic work!

  • awesome!

  • MAC NERD LOL

    GOOD SYNTH

  • i wish i waz you

    -hero

  • If I listen to anymore of this, the acid flashbacks will start pouring in, I just know it!

  • This thing is big! Good Job!

  • you have some tallent, how long did it take you to make that synth?

  • i have been working on it on and off for a couple of months, but i still have more modules to add

  • nice bed setup!

  • Wicked sounds keep up the DIY work. Any spring reverbs in that box?

  • OMG sounds like you headed and radio-telescope on Saturn an played the recording.Really cool

  • at 1:12 I was thinking "all hail Hypnotoad". lol
