iPod Touch 2G Volume Glitch

I'm having a similar situation with a 2nd Gen 8gb iPod, but the turn off solution isn't working for me. I've also tried letting the battery completely deplete and even factory resetting, the problem just persists. Is there any other fix or is my ipod touch a dud at this point?

all u got to do is press the button on the top and click home button and once ur on the slide to unlock screen press double click the home button and turn it down that way and it should turn down but when u get to the music screen while it's still playing it might not show that it is turned down but it is turned down.

My volume glitch is different mine has where u push the buttons on the sideand the icon with the speaker n little squares comes up but won't disappear help me plzzzz

Same with me the volume isn't working on my iPod touch when I press the volume rocker nothing comes up and no volume on any apps YouTube or my music

@Hersheybar567 all you need to do is reset your ipod. Do that by holding the home and sleep buttons for about 10 seconds

i have a problem and the problem is my volume level is stuck on high and no matter what i do to slide it to the left side(it slides) but the volume is stuck on high, so now i cant listen to music because its too loud, Plz help

hey I have a BIG problem u know the volume bar underneath the songs to put the volume up/down? In mine its just dissappeared!!!!! I try pressing the volume control beside the ipod touch nothing would come on/the volume wouldnt go up/down D: D: But when I put my headphones in the volume works! hELP!!!! D: D: OMG help!!

@MaggieConnellanMusic I fixed IT! I can help you okay umm Just turn your iPod off and hold the on\off button + the home button at the same time for like 10 seconds and leave it and turn it back on it will be FIXED i figured it myself :D Hope it helped let me know if that helped!

I had the same problem, but I just restored it in iTunes. After I did that, the problem was gone. So you should try that too. If that doesn't work out, you could also try installing SSH. Then stop the music - > go to the app -> Turn the music on again. And after you did that, it should be normal again. Success!

Um ok well I have a 3rd gen touch and when I play a song and drag the volume to get higher or lower the thing stays in the same spot but the volume changes. How do you get rid of this?

ok this is confusing with something called "jiggle" and all these steps. i just want to know how to get rid of it for good and ive tried restarting my itouch but then it happens again a few days later. btw i have a 3rd generation so much help appreciated

ok ok i found a new glitch:

(Make sur ur volume is full)

step 1: press and hold the down volume button

step 2: When the colume dots are about halfway, double tap the home button

step 3: tap the home button

then if u want ur volume thing to jiggle like stay in 1 spot and jiggle hold the volume bottom up while u press the home botton rwice or more. pluse it still jiggles wen u move the volume up and dwn its kool try it tell me if it works.

ok ok i found a new glitch:

Step 4: The volume speaker should be on the screen. no matter how many time you press the volume button up, the volume should still be going down!

to stop this, turn OFF your ipod (not hold it) OFF and then back on! its cool
