@jroxx11211 I personally detail strip and clean my Glock after every range visit. This was recommended when I took my Certified Glock Armorer school. It does not hurt to detail strip it and clean it often and I actually enjoy it.
@jroxx11211 It's easy, but there are some very important things you should know about putting things back together correctly or it can cause some major issues. The trigger spring must form an S shape when installed. The slide lock groove needs to face to the rear or your barrel can fly out when you shoot. The pins need to be removed and installed in correct order to prevent the slide stop spring from pressing on the opposite end of the pin which will cause a slide lock issue. Things like this
@ProxStud i found out from trial and error about the right order in re-assembly, i didnt put the slide stop in the correct order and the slide lock kept engaging after every other shot,i re-stripped it and re-asembled it and then it worked fine, thanks again.
It's like watchergb said. I watched the part about lubing the frame several times and thought he was putting it in the wrong place. He had a pretty good angle and then turned it away so you couldn't see where the needle went. After several times I realized everything was backwards. I thought, "Gee maybe Glock released a new lefthanded Model 26." LOLSeriously though it was a good video and well done. Thanks Jared.
DID ANYONE NOTICE THAT THE WHOLE VIDEO WAS A MIRROR-IMAGE? THE LABELS ON THE BOTTLES WERE UNREADABLE. THE WEAPON'S EJECTION PORT WAS ON THE WRONG SIDE, AND HE WAS PROBABLY RIGHT-HANDED, ALSO. OTHERWISE IT WAS A PRETTY-WELL-DONE INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO.
Another thing I like to do is use a silicon cloth to wipe things down when I reassemble to make sure there is no oil from my hands on the barrel or slide or other bare metal. The silicon will also ensure that you don't have any rust problems down the road. Happy shooting!
do you use the same stuff to clean it? i have the same black bottle that says cleaner/lube. i always clean it with that and scrub with a brush, then i wipe it all off with a paper towel, and then put some on a q-tip and apply the oil to these spots in the video. does that sound logical, lol?

Make sure to wear butt-hole-doctor gloves to lube your GLOCK. Unless you are allergic to ass-doctor-latex, then use gardening gloves.

On your next video you may want to consider setting up a bright desk lamp over you work area. A brighter light source will show more details.
