  • Kinsella is mistaken and offensive when he insinuates that only deontological libertarians are true libertarians, that consequentialist libertarians are "pseudo-libertarians" simply because we're pragmatic in our political philosophy. Argh. Unwillingness to compromise is precisely why libertarians fail to get anywhere politically. Painting all other views as not only foolish but positively wicked causes nothing but damage to the movement. This self-righteous absolutism has to go.

  • @ElasticGiraffe Degrading the message just ends up with people associating the degraded message with the name. "Mr. Libertarian himself, Friedman, said we need public roads so you are a lunatic to argue against not only my position but the most famous person who believes in libertarianism!"

The reason we don't get anywhere politically is that we are arguing that politicians need less power, while everyone feels like they are on the take one way or another.

  • EM spectrum is not a resource. EM waves may penetrate your property, or your body, and this makes them yours

  • @coturnix19 I think we should have rights over the EM spectrum when it involves our property.

  • I agree with a lot of this. IP law is a dangerous and a use of force.
