All this equal talk is nonsense. Yes, it is scientifically proven men can build muscle faster than women. Yes that mens most men can probably lift more than women but it doesn't mean they can do the job better. There has been many times I've taken extra weight from buddy who fell out during a march or I've pulled double shifts in the harness humping some 200lbs+ sled through Canada's rough winter terrain. It's not all black and white ladies and gentlemen. There's no gender in uniform. HUA.

I have no problem with women in the military but i think they should only be rear echelon. Women can be warriors but not in large numbers, its never happen and its not an idea you can force on someone just because its not logical. Iraq there was a female who was in a convoy that was ambushed and captured. They broke her bones and raped her, repeatedly.

I say give women in the military exactly what they want. If they want to serve side by side with their male comrades then I say we let them. Under this condition, we take away all double standards between males and female in the miliarty. All the regulations that treat men and women differently. One standardized PT test that is based off of what the military expects of it male soldiers. If they want equality then I say we strap it on their backs and see how far they want or can carry its weight

I would hate to see a female soldier captured for the reason you would imagine savage men treating a woman. However I respect their decision to serve and have no problem with what they choose to do. One issue I also see is that I think a man has superior strength in hand to hand combat. However if the women are tough enough to fight I think they will be fine.

We female medics often served with all male platoons in line units as early as the mid '80's. When a medic was needed to hump a ruck with the boys, we trained and tested the same as them for the infantry badge. But come the pinning, our boys proudly were pinned and received promotion points, while we who had the wrong equipment between our legs, were required to stand down. We still have a way to go, but we were and are proud, capable and dedicated regardless of "official policy".

Dhaune, Is this true? Iraqi men are fighting beside women and children. Is their morale smashed? I would say seeing your fellow women and children getting killed emboldens a soldier to fight, as evidenced by the Blitz in WWII, the stuborn resistance in Vietnam, and the mad courage of irregular militias fighting the most sophisticated military ever in Iraq. Dead women and children harden a soldier to fight on (provided they're not enemy women and children).

Lachance put it (1:27) , we all know damn well what would happen to any woman captured by the enemy. This is the only reason why I would prefer not to see them exposed to combat.

Yes, I'm sure that "not wanting to give respect" is the reason why women's PT tests aren't as demanding as men's. It has nothing to do with the fact that most women in the military would suddenly be disqualified due to failing PT scores.

Dear Iron, You may be tough, but you lack something that all men have and women absolutely don't. At the end of the day, in a war of attrition where two equal states battle it out until onside is annihilated. Men will always have the attribute of expendability. One man can theoretically knock up 365-600+ women a year. How many babies can you squat out a year Iron? That is the real reason why men fight, because it doesn't matter if they die.
