  • Sorry I meant "is hard to play

  • So ur saying Mary had a little lamb isn't hard to play? Age is nothing when it comes to interpretation. You are right, not every kid can play with passion and joy but how far do they get in their musical career? Not very. And yes classical pieces are hard to interpret but isnt every piece?

  • This concerto isnt really that hard to play... im not sure you could call this kid a virtuoso... thats just my opinion. Don't get me wrong- he's a fantastic player...

  • @haydo143 my friend no music is easy to play...have that in mind ...and this is HAYDN come on how come you say this isn´t difficult is much more than just fingers displacement in the violin or any instrumen (except voice)...theres also the interpretation and the correct one not just playing for the sake of playing...you have to know/or suppose what were the feelings of the composert while writting this piece :) (im sorry for my english im not an first languague english spoker)

  • @haydo143 nothing is esay to play (refferring to classical pieces) there is much more than just fingers displacement and how fast to play something...hear the music ...this kids does it really really good he is a prodigy not all kids can play with a joy and passion and interpretation :)

  • I love his face when he's playing ;D Adorable xD

  • Comment removed

  • Is that a viola or a violi? It looks kinda big.

  • Woooohooo!!!He really knows what he's doing. He is really good as a musician and really, everything is really perfect!

  • talentoso , un muy lindo concierto !

  • @hogo1 like Toru Takemitsu and Tan Dun?

  • @hogo1 oh man check out some rpg osts, all composed by asian guys, its like wtf how can they compose that shit its amazing

  • woah, so old-schooled

  • hes not 11

  • whenever i think i'm good at violin, i watch a video like this and i feel like a beginner

    Mood: envy

  • @Cellokicksass

same it makes me feel like i haven't accomplished anything

  • HOW OLD R U?

  • @krishnaisindahouse IT OBVIOUSLY SAYS; "11 YEAR OLD".

  • It's fasforwarded a bit

  • he looks like a robot

  • @jingjing23guy you read my mind dude, yeah he does look like those perfect but like evil robots

  • why does everyone think the violin is so hard??? The cello is much harder since it is so much larger.

  • @LightLonger I play both. They're actually about the same when you get used to them.

  • @LightLonger Violin and cello are the same difficulty level, it kinda depends on who's playing though. Well the violin hurts your neck and it's at first hard to do the vibrato and cello makes your arm hurt at first but i just got used to it. I play the violin and it's hard to play at first but gets so much easier but now stuck on the vibrato and my friend plays the cello and her whole arm sores sooo much at first but she got used to it and somehow played beautifully.

  • @LightLonger

they're both hard...most string instruments are hard..

  • Considering that he memorized that and everything, I'd say he is phenomenal!

  • if only my orchestra class had players like this, guess that'll never happen v.v

  • I envy Marc-Andre...

  • My mom's eyes just exploded after watching me play, then him. O.O

  • yo tengo 13 y se tocar mejor

  • Mon Dieu.... he broke something in the universe... he and the violin are one being.

  • vaya aire de superioridad que tiene el nota

  • Very Crisp and good playing. great articulation. Not trying too hard, just letting it come naturally. Wow!

  • What an amazing boy, he has the expression that no other violinist can master. Except me, :D

  • You are good man

  • amazing

  • Una bellissima sensibilità per il suono e grande classe!

  • I remember playing this :)

this kind got good tone, intonation, and style

  • my friend tryed to smile while playing the violin and found it quite hard. she;s been playing since 1st grade she now a high schooler.Just as Elainelps0421 said he doesnt have to look like he's having a fabulous time while playing because violin is pretty hard.

  • He looks like a goody two shoes.... =)) And he looks too earnest! But I have to admit that he is brilliant... =))

  • one word. brilliant.

  • Why do people think someone needs to look like they are enjoying themselves while concentrating on playing an instrument as difficult as the violin? It's hard to do what he's doing. He's not likely going to accompany himself with a series of belly laughs.

  • @Elainelps0421 The audience also enjoys the human expressions while playing. A wrong or controversial body language typically triggers discomfort in the audience, and then severely damages the way an even masterly played song is been received.

  • @Elainelps0421 I totally agree with you.I play violin and my parents keep telling me 'Stop looking so serious'.Well ,music is serious.Besides, does it matter you've a massive cheesy grin or a frown while playing? You'd have to be concentrating on the piece!

  • Spectacular playing--musical, heart-felt, excellent technique and tone. Best wishes for the future!

  • la mejor interepretación de este concierto que he visto <3

  • Amazing technique. When was this made?

  • O:

All I can say is WOOOOOOOOOOOW

This is beautiful! I love his style of playing! His double stops are amazing!

Good luck for the future! (:

  • :) just beautiful.

  • I played this concert! but never like this boy! ohh God it is beautiful!

  • Love his clothing, his hair and of course, his playing. He really feels the music. There are some other music prodigys that play like robots, with perfect technique but no emotion. I think he has both things. Bravo!

  • this guy is ammmmazzzzing!! And seeing as i am a human being, i am racist, and my racism is doing its best to find an impossible way to undermine this

  • it looks for me that this is put faster, but with the images that apear in 0:46 i belive is awesome.

  • Amazing taste and musical maturity for that age! Impeccable cleanliness! Age and experience will give him more finesse and tonal color :)

  • WOOOOOOOW Amazing!!!! bravo...!!!! bravisimo!!!

  • Wow,,,he seems really good...better than most proffessional adults out there...

  • ....human Spock.....AMAZING!

  • wow..

  • MY SPINES ARE STANDING OMG

  • WOW

  • Very impressiv!

  • Already an artist. Every notes counts!

  • @xxSkylersxVenomxx

i just freakin lol'd at ur comment cuz its true

  • 11? Wow. I couldn't even do vibrato at 11...this kids amazing. And on top of everything, he's got perfect position.

  • this song is nooby should have played something harder.

  • Well no. If this is the level that he was at at the time, then this peice was entirelly appropriate. And to top it off, he played it VERY nicely.

  • this is awesome its even better than othr older violinist...

  • idk but.. he look very intimidating o.o

  • haha so true

  • I like the way he draws his bow. He plays very nicely.

  • @1stplacesoccerplayer its not about getting through it, it`s a bout executeing it perfectly, wich I think he did.

  • Comment removed

  • not exactly very hard to play

  • Beautiful tone and great intonation

  • but he is still okay

  • that is one nice sounding fiddle!

  • i played this when i was 13.....it was so fun to play...it had light and fun sound....the hard work i put in it is worth it when you know how to play it....

  • Wow, such a remarkable musical intelligence for one so young. Things like this really make me happy to be alive and a musician.

  • wow, unbelieveble talent

  • Vous jouer du Stradivarius ?

  • You have got to be kidding me. This is unbelievable! *Chills*

  • hahaha this is amazing!! i play the oboe and its a wind instrument...i love the i violin its like my secound favorite instrument after piano i hope i get to learn this instrument i love it!!! check out paul dateh as well amazing...sorta reminds me of tom and jerry too haha

  • Sorry, but you wanna compare Paul Dateh to this?

    This is 1000 times better!

  • I like him very much...it seems he really knows what he's doing. He makes a beautiful sound, he's deep in this music, and he has a great technique. What else? I wish I could play like him

  • i wish i could play that smoothly..im almost 15.i ve been playing since i was 9 and im struggling

  • wow.....my ONE COMMENT started this ENTIRE conversation! Yes, I DO play the violin, no i am not a proffessional, and yes I do understand that all violins are different. THey all have different sounds, different visual attributes, and different qualities that can never be compared to one another. No, i am not a retard, and looking back on this conversation, it is all extremely misunderstood. that was merely a typo, and no one would be stupid enough to believe that a viola is played on the ground.

  • halothree876 (6 days ago) that is a cello stupid viola is not played on the ground

this guy is a retard because he is say that that violin (NOT a viola because you can clearly hear the E string) is a cello he is a complete and total retard

  • college13bound....a viola is not played on the ground

  • Ummm. . . das a lot of arguing and stuff people. Either way, I like the kid's playing! I think he plays wonderfully! Thanks for uploading!

  • Kpaddia I hope you are not stating that this lad is playing on a viola? You must have absolutely no idea about the violin or viola if you think this.

  • wats the difference?

  • clearly you dont have any idea either, as i am a violist and i can assure you, it most certainly, in any shape or form, is it played on the floor.

  • u call urself a violist? and don't know the interments of the rest of the orchestra? only cellos are played on the ground with players seated, base are very huge so a lot of the time the performer have to stand.

  • woops! typo there *is it not played on the floor* sorry about that, but yes, i DO know the other instruments of the orchestra. and, F.Y.I the base is played both ways. in the youth symphony, they played standing up, in the school orchestra and band, it was played sitting down on stools. and you can get very small bases. i used to have one.

  • that is a cello stupid viola is not played on the ground

  • that is right, the only way that differ viola and violin right now is to hear them, the string and the position, cause u can't see them side by side to tell which is a little longer, from top to bottom, not sure how much, but not a lot. even though down in history they are very different

  • viola is only a little bigger than the violin (longer from top to bottom), and don't have the high E string on the right but with a low C string on the left, so from high to low it have A D G C four strings not like E A D G of a violin. and this solo music of Haydn is for violin even if u try it on viola u have to shift very high on A i would say, don't play viola, not sure, but i do play this piece on violin, this kid dose it well.

  • You weirdo thats a cello! or double bass.. watevr ur tlkn bout. u dont play a viola on the floor

  • I just looked at your comments... This kid is really good. No violinist is immune to advice or constructive criticism. You are not helping at all. How old are you? And are YOU a professional? You sure talk big.

  • @TheSingingViolinist His technique is really amazing. I think that before making any critics or judgment people must think about: how old is this boy?, how difficult is this repertoire?. He's a musician. A remarkable talent. BRAVO

  • This young man is not only talented - he is supremely gifted. The interpretation is mature way beyond his years. He understands what he is playng.!!!Bravissimo.

  • My violin looks like that! Im sure as heck it doesnt SOUND like that!

  • all violins look the same....

  • you got that WRONG

  • yea sorry if you played the violin you would probably never say that again lol. there are so many tiny little things that can be so different, affecting the instrument in so many ways..

  • Yeah, I do play the violin. And I realize there are variations between all violins, strad models, Del Gesus, Amatis, differences in flaming, and so on. But from what you can see in the video, it is impossible to see these tiny variations. Thus, it looks the same as any other instrument. And in the end, looks are not important, sound is. If you played the violin, you would probably never suggest that.

  • You do NOT know how wrong you are. Very wrong.

  • then explain what is wrong about that. I would love to learn. And while you're at it, give me one time in this video where we can see any feature of the violin that (appearance wise) would allow it to be compared to anyone else's

  • Let's keep this a peaceful conversation. First of all, we can see the shade of brown has a tint of yellow, and that depends on the wood. The wood has a major effect, and the tone of different kinds (like say, Stradivarius vs. plain old Cedar) has a significant difference.

Since I am running out of character count, I shall make this short. The "gloss" of the surface sometimes is also an effect of how the wood is made suitable for the instrument.

And there's always the tag inside...

  • I hate people who are so insecure they need to say things like this. Faggot

  • this was a comment od my little brother...sry

i think you r playing very nice. i like the way you move! wow!

  • WOW O.O

  • Bv. 10

  • he is amazing. great playing. AMAZING.. XD

  • really if you play violin you would know. He has great articulation but without reading the notes, the notes are not hard. He is switching from 1st position to 3rd position and then some 5th. But he has great skill in overcoming the slurs and ties perfectly.

  • The other guy's right, He doesn't seem to hev a care in the world! that could be a sign of cockiness! But that also shows that he's just really good! Which He is!!!

  • where this guy from? from startrek? :D

  • @broaff2 BAHAHAHA WIN COMMENT

  • @broaff2 LMFAO

  • @broaff2 You're so Right !

  • He is very talented. he doesn't seem to have a care in the world, it looks as if this piece is a dodle to him even though it is very advanced.

  • So cute throwing the bow at the end. Definitely a showman! But not without the talent to back it up!

  • he is AMAZING

  • so beautiful! yea he does look smug but he should when he has such a great talent.

  • You can't really hate on him for this xD not even though his fce is smug.

  • Well if you stop looking at him and making silly comments and just, you know, listen.. it's fabulous. Great playing. Sure, the intonation is not always perfect, but it's still very skillful for his age. I'm sure when most of you were his age you could barely hash peperoni pizza. So calm down.

  • its like his fingers have their own life...what a blessing to have such a talent

  • i want to see what he plays like now

  • this is rly good but why does he look so smug

  • So many prodegies can get their fingers around notes, but lack the intonation accuracy, clarity, style and tone. This kid is special. He's got it all. Kudos to his teacher. Very nice playing. Well done!

  • He is amazing! But he is letting the scroll fall and resting his elbow against his side... Only technical problem there is. He needs a shoulder rest then he won't need to rest his violin arm on his side...

  • Hyden is nice :) Tat was good! you are really talented!

  • awesome!

  • his expression is so natural :D

  • that was so good. love it

  • OH

    Good : )

  • Stunning! Such a mature interpretation at such a young age...playing with feeling so young...Bravo!

  • i agree! Bravo!!

  • me too x)
