Hey man first off great truck! I have a couple questions. Do you have the 4r70w or 4r100 transmission? When you dropped in the lightning motor did all the accessories such as the ac hook up or did you have to modify to get it to fit? Finally where did you purchase the engine? If you could reply it would be greatly appreciated. Once again great truck and would love to see some off road videos of it.

@purebredredneck the stock 4r70w is retained, built to handle 500 horsepower plus towing. All accessories are retained as well, off road vids coming soon.

Yes, it is still 4x4. No changes were made to the transfer case and it gets used plenty - Its not just a Pavement pounder.

So in a nutshell you got a 5.4SC lightning engine, dropped it in...what transmission are you using? For some reason I thought you had to lose your 4WD with a lightning swap. I'm looking to do a swap this year, Thank you for the help.

Yep, brand new 03 lightning OEM motor. The stock trans is retained, but obviously BUILT to handle 500 horsepower.
