Saw these @ The Duchess in 93, Steve Eagles pulled it off perfectly and Elizabeths stage presence was totally alluring, beautiful music inspired by an ugly, yet brilliant book by Katherine Dunn.
Love this I too have the 12", I worked for HMV at the time and we were given pre release copies of loads of great music, so I snapped this up on 12" when I saw it come in the stockroom....
I am having a 90's revival at the moment thanks to the genius of Spotify....
Great thanks alot for this, would you believe in the days before the internet and email i actually voted for this in john peels festive 50 way back in 1992 by sending 3 suggestions on a postcard
i cant remember what my other 2 choices were,i think one was hansel and gretel by babes in toyland
wasnt a bad period for music then, thanks again for this anyway, much appreciated
Remember seeing these at the Evesham Working Men's club, one of the best nights out in the 'sham I ever had

All these years later, and everything that's happened. I still love it.
Stay together people!

A tune lasting for 9.26 and doesn't - for one second - sound boring, something of a record (record, ha ha, get it)? Brilliant, in fact.
And I'm delighted to learn it's a former Festive Fifty no. one
