Gimme a break. The current war pales in comparison to Vietnam or say the Spanish-American War in terms of the lies that got us into this mess. Saddam violated the terms of the 1991 cease-fire, and besides the Clinton administration used similar rhetoric to Bush.

Every suggestion Obama made, the military and the president are slowly implementing. his tax breaks help 80% of working people (discounting retirees and the handicapped who are helped by other means), He plans to increase the size of the military as well as civilian service in exchange for tuition money, instead of a prize of 300mil. on new batteries (which cost much more than that to develop) he plans to partially subsidize research. (check Dr. Cui's work in nano-wires; we're almost there)

To use your example, yeah, most people know that lawyers lie, but I guarantee when you get a speeding ticket you call a lawyer, Christian or not. Democrats raise taxes so we can get out of this slump caused by republicans and their wars. Raising taxes a little for a short period of time beats a gradual tax increase for a long period of time. Also, it's been shown in surveys that Republicans are more likely to blame poor people for poverty, and Democrats are more likely to blame rich people for it. The reason the House and Senate can't help anyone at the moment is because our retarded president vetoes their legislation.
