@Reido2828 I think there are two meanings of the word culture here and that's the problem, to me in this context she is talking about individuals and there cultural practices like the food they eat or traditions they hold. That is a lot different in the sense of a countries culture and laws, someone can come for one of these countries she talks about and embrace their culture while respecting the laws and culture of their new home, this is how Canada dose it and it works just fine.
Yeah as a Canadian I will agree but in Europe its a different story. I'm sorry but the integration there has failed. The values whether by individual or domestic are not always compatible. Not all practices once held are compatible with secular laws. Canada is not perfect and we have growing pains as well. Just think about how some middle eastern countries treat their women (forcing them to wear burkas and marry their rapists) and how some african cultures practice very painful female circumcision (the act of slicing off a young girl's clitoris with a razor blade).

@Reido2828 I think there are two meanings of the word culture here and that's the problem, to me in this context she is talking about individuals and there cultural practices like the food they eat or traditions they hold. That is a lot different in the sense of a countries culture and laws, someone can come for one of these countries she talks about and embrace their culture while respecting the laws and culture of their new home, this is how Canada dose it and it works just fine.

Yeah as a Canadian I will agree but in Europe its a different story. I'm sorry but the integration there has failed. The values whether by individual or domestic are not always compatible. Not all practices once held are compatible with secular laws. Canada is not perfect and we have growing pains as well. I agree there are isolationist communities and i do think they are an issue, no place is perfect, but I think more often then not we are bound together in our own unique culture of tolerance then we are divided by our diversity.

I agree with Bachmann when she says that not all cultures and values are equal. Just think about how some middle eastern countries treat their women (forcing them to wear burkas and marry their rapists) and how some african cultures practice very painful female circumcision (the act of slicing off a young girl's clitoris with a razor blade).
Values are by no means equal across the globe. I'm not saying there's any one perfect culture out there. But let's not pretend that were all the same.

Bachmann is right when she says that not all cultures and values are equal. Just think about how some middle eastern countries treat their women and how some african cultures practice female circumcision. Values are by no means equal across the globe.

Islam came after Judiasm and Christianity and it is a continuation and closure to what came before it. It corrects what was made wrong by mankind towards the earlier books. In no way does Islam teach that Judiasm or the true Christianity are inferior. on the contrary, they are held very high and they are the basis of islam. Islam teaches that people of the book that deceive god and do evil on earth are the lowest (includes false muslims) because they were given god's trust and they failed

Islam teaches that Jesus was the messiah, performed miracles by the power and blessing of God, and that Jesus was raised to the heavens and he will come back. i guess we will all get our messiah when he comes back, assuming everyone believes in him then. Islam teaches that people of the book that stuck to the true words of god and to the teaching of their prophets will have their place in gods heavens. Islam is tough on people of the book that abandoned their books and made up stories.
