its been awhile since I commented. Even months into having you on my favorites I do not know of another youtube singer that I am impressed with as much as you. Especially when the Phantom of the Opera is concerned. I hope you keep the flame going and realize your gift and efforts are appreciated.
Hey, No one is probably gonna read this. I'm just gonna say it any way because I feel at least one person will. I'm a 16 year old who loves to sing, i know theres like millions of those in the world lol But I'm different , & if you give me a chance ill show you :) I would love nothing more than to have a decent following on youtube from people, and If anyone who reads this could press the "Thumbs up" so other people will see it, you'd make my dream come true. Thank you so much<3
Years ago at Busch Gardens Williamsburg I saw the best Ice staking show each year, it must have been in the 80's. The best moment was when they played the CATS song Memories while the same wonderful woman commanded the ice. This song and your voice reminds me of that time. Equally as Magestic!!! Or more! I Love You too!
Hey first of all i think you're amazing and your expression is wonderfull - but i think your voice can give you a bit more on those top notes with a little practice its important to get a full rich (not necessarily operatic might i add) tone with this song which can be achieved by really supporting those notes with the diaphram and a open throat technique - i know im gonna get blasted for saying this but it does work and it really helps the sound. I think your brilliant though :-)
The only critical (constructive) note I would make, watch the end of your phrases, you have a tendency to get a little flat. I went through your other postings and it is your one major weakness.
That said, I saw your note about vocal lessons, yes yes yes, do it. I think once you've had some coaching, you will go from good to great, with your sound. :-)
You don't sound like Sierra Boggess, she has a lighter coloratura voice while you're most likely a full lyric soprano :-)
I didn't like that you used "ha" when you mean "are" "hare" sounds wrong; but don't worry, because it's SO impressive that you can sing that well with no vocal training!
Your voice is beautiful.I love this song ,and Phantom is such a great opera.Well done as good as any production in movies or Stage.Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good grief girl---you did that great little coloratura work at the end!!! I am glad you finally posted another song where you use your head tone. I get scared you are going to lose this great head tone when you have sung mostly chest tone songs for a while. Brightman ain't got nothin' on you, my friend!
I have checked Sierra Boggess, who I did not know, and she sounds more musical-opera singer. Personally I prefer your singing and your voice by far. Your voice does not sound like Streisand, but I´d put you into that "league" of singers. Raw, pure talent. Your natural voice is amazing and when you go into "opera" there is no drastic change. Check scandinavian singers like Helen Sjöholm, Sanna Nielsen or Helene Bøksle. Thanks for posting!
@Roswell1828Channel I agree you do sound like Sierra Boggess, I was trying to place that sound and I scrolled down and saw thought and was like yes that is it lol
WOW.. Rly good for singing without any lessons!! It truly is!
Even the vibrato
As 4 the constructive criticism:
There are 2 things you could work on:
1. try to get your pronunciation a bit more tight at: "imagine me, trying too hard, to put you from.."
2. at the end when you have the opera-style part.. it's probably a good idea to stick to the original for the staccato and glissando parts(first everything staccato(on the oh's) and the glissando on 'of me' (up to the high note and back again)
Shannon, The only issue I have is that the music was played too fast, which didn't allow us the opportunity to enjoy your lovely singing more. You were quite rushed.
It's been a year since I have commented, but you are simply fantastic!!!! This is the best you have done in my opinion bar none.

If this song was available for HQ download it would be on my ipod right now!
Do you think that you could sing "The lamest Place in The World" from 13?
I've been clicking between this video and The lamest Place video! :D
Now I have them both in my favorites on my comp. but it would be so awesome to shove the best pars of both songs together; Your voice and it's melody!
