I admire your positive attitude. But I'm really scared. I'm caring for my bed-ridden, blind Mother, who is on Social Security and who depends on Medicare for much of what sustains her and us. I've become disillusioned by our "President" and his obviously Republican stance on practically every issue. But now he's targeted Medicare, Social Security & Medicaid for cuts, and he's probably going to cut them without bringing any new taxes on the most wealthy, etc. I'm scared, really scared.
dude, what's with the beard? C'mon, you look like Brigham Young with 33 wives. You scared customers away with that squirrels nest. It's Taliban looking. I know you want others to accept you, but please, give them reasons to. You might be living in a cave or a cabin is my guess. Go out and get a shave, and buy a new shirt Looks do matter when you are in the public. While you are at it, clean up your cabinet behind your head, because.....damn....
Thank you so much for this video. I have taken so much of my life just one day at time simply because I couldn't hope any farther ahead. I always seem to be surrounded by people who didn't understand how hard it was and who mouthed platitudes thinking they would help when they were actually making it harder. I appreciate hearing encouragement from someone who actually understands. Thank you. Lily
I felt like I was at the end of my rope this week.
They have been laying people off at my work, I have $4000.00 worth of water damage to my house from a hole in my roof and yesterday morning my hot water heater went out and had to be replaced.
I guess I should be lucky that I still have a home and a job right now.
There are a lot of people n much worse shape.
Thanks for the video and the words of encouragement.
The damaged was caused by some carpenter ants destroying some wood under my roof shingles. Then we had some heavy rains that just over flowed on my roof into that hole. The drywall in my attic soaked it all up and cracked and broke under the weight. Had my roof fixed last week, contractor started today on the inside ceilings and walls. Home insurance should cover most of the repairs.
Yep, you are so right. My husband was layed off and for the weeks he was off, we had some WONDERFUL family time. He is now back at work and we can see that his time off was a blessing.
No, we didn't reach our bottom, but we could have held onto stress, but by decided to hang together, we ended with a blessing.
My heart goes out to those who are suffering so. I hope things improve quickly for you.
Those of us who say this coming never thought for a moment that our governments would end up rescuing the very institutions that created the problems to begin with and and allow these vicious dogs to attack the common man on the street. There is no money out there to be earned that isn't drawn first as debt and our society can barely afford to feed itself without credit. Economic power is as violent as military might when you decide to use it. It's intimidating as hell out here.
Just want to drop a note bro, we built our home 7 yrs ago ....in the bubble we were up to 600k with land ....here in Idaho now we're atleast 33% down....too say the least we're pretty much fe'd.....what do we do? Sh**t is coming!

Great video. The 90s were rough for me too. I remember people trying to encourage me but unknowingly being cruel because they really had no clue how difficult things were.
Great Video! I have been through trying times and you just can't give up, tomorrow is another day. In the eightys I had to sell my house to cover a bad business, and I still owed 30,000. I had to rent a house for 3yrs. But now I live mortgage free, and just sold my business, and plan to buy a hobby farm. None of this was possible if I did not work hard and never never give up. Thank You.
Awesome message, Ive been knocked down, dragged around and thrown in that pit of dispair more than my share of times. just got to hang on for another day, as long as you wake up on this side of the dirt there is always hope, another day might be all you need to see your hopes come true, Keep the faith and dont give up. Thanks for the vid, I think its going to reach some of those out here that need a sincere word of encouragment. Peace to you and yours.

Oh I've been there and I remember it well. My problem was that I was in the army. I was so close to suicide that I'm honestly surprised I'm here today. I used to have nightmares about finding myself back in the army. They stopped about 6 years ago. The only thing that stopped me from eating a bullet was that my separation date was only a year or two away. I waited and got out, got my life back and now I'm happy. Oh I'm damaged from the experience but I'm happy.
Oh thank you! I loved this video. I am going to share it with my husband, as I feel that "looks" are something he is struggling with. That things have to look a certain way in order for them to be good...that sort of thing. I appreciate this video, I loved the message that you portrayed from a very personal standpoint. Reaching out to others is so very important...hospitality by way of Vlog! God bless!!

Wise words indeed. You are right when you say that so called "friends" disappear when someone is having tough times, "friends" like that don't have much integrity. I used to get anxious about various things and life threw a fair bit of crap my way. Now I don't let things get on top of me, I take every day as it comes and appreciate what I have. Going back to basics and discarding unnecessary baggage is the best step anyone can take, as another poster said "Simplicity is bliss"
amen, and well said my friend, that's why i enjoy your channel so much Andy, you are a very open and honest man and you speak plain and simple. once again friend well said.
I've been to the end of my rope before but not for economic reasons. I actually tried suicide. However I will say things are far better now than then. I'm glad I failed at suicide because it allowed me to succeed at many other things. To those in bad situations, things will get better. Great video, you make so many good videos.
Thank you, this is so true. My family and I had lost EVERYTHING. We lost our home, our credit, went through 3 jobs during this time. We lost it all. When it was all said and done, it ended up being a relief.

Nice point bud! I started a little business. One of the biggest problems I am faced with right now is getting people to pay and pick up their equipment. I have a total of $1300 or so owed to me, that has been owed to me for two weeks. Very impresive. It is so easy to get caught up in "Keeping Up With The Joneses" I think people have to appreciate the small things in life. Like you said about your van. I have been down and out and could only dream of ANY vehicle at the time. That is not whts important. Peace
..sometimes we can't cope with that extra day and have to break it down by the hour or the next fifteen minutes...I've faced 15 min increments- still walking! I'm a christian and try to keep thanking God for sending me the answers, opening the doors I need, closing the doors I don't, and staying in God's grace vs. this mess and the world. Sometimes our own traumatic feelings/thoughts become obsessive and we need a new "mantra" that shuts that despair down the first time it sticks it's head up.
In our home, my bride and I have a rule to always let the kids see solidarity between us. No we do not always agree on everything, but we discuss it away from the kids. "If you would make a man happy, do not add to his possessions but subtract from the sum of his desires."
"Success is getting what you want; Happiness is wanting what you get."
and lastly
"To be content with little is difficult, to be content with much, impossible."
