Anybody's lhasa have really bad skin? Mine gets eczema if we don't put him on steroids, but the steroids are not that great for him. Anyone have any advice?

Yours is veryyyyy cute. Looks a lot like mine, except mine is big for a lhasa- prolly because he feed him too much table food haha. He's our little man. He jumps on the table when we are all sitting down eating. I love these dogs!

Steroids treat the syptoms and not the problem. Are you sure its eczema? I had 3 vets tell me mine had that until i took her to a new vet and he told me she had an allergy. It waS A LONG TIME AGO BUT THINK IT WAS CALLED IMMUNE THERAPY.He took her off the steroids, tested her and found she was allergic to dust among other things. He injeCTED HER ONCE A MONTH AND SHE WAS CURED It worth a shot!!!

I think these dogs have to be the easiest dogs ever to train. My grandma has one, and that dog will go out and come back in, it will give you five, it will protect and of course be the best bed mate you'll ever have. LOL

Lhasas have very sensitive hearing, they are known as "early warning dogs" thunder storms, fire works, or loud noises hurt their ears. My Lhasa is 12 years old, and her name is Cyndil. When they get older they start to sneeze a lot, so be carefull, they get lots of nose bleeds when they are older (from baning their face on the floor when sneezing)
