@uchuskiesstix21 Namath number 6? are you fucking retarded?? Namath is the most overated qb in NFL history, he lost more games than he won, threw only 50.1% completion, threw ALOT more INTs than TDs, he was complete SHIT!!! what the fuck are you looking at you idiot. My god he was shit, why he is in the hall of fame is a mystery
terry bradshaw isnt top te he aint even top 20 he has no numbers he has 4 rings but all he did was throw the ball to swan pittsburghs defense won them their super bowls
1. JOHNNY UNITAS 2. JOE MONTANA 3. OTTO GRAHAM 4. John Elway 5. Peyton Manning 6. Brett Favre 7. Sammy Baugh 8. Dan Marino 9. Tom Brady 10. Fran Tarkenton 11. Roger Staubach 12. Steve Young
Joe Namath should be rated higher if not #1 and where's Roman Gabriel?! This legend of the game would have flourish in todays panty-laced never-call-your-own-plays-protect -the-quarterback-at-all-costs game.
You're the f*ck**g idiot. You have no pure history of the NFL. Your screen name suggests a little boy trying to appear as a tough guy. Namath, Gabriel, & the QB's of the 60's & 70's played grown man football. You probably played Pussyball or worse yet soccer.
@MANIACKILLAH13 The only fucking idiot is you. It's so obvious that you're nothing but a jealous Namath hater. What happened douche bag, did Broadway Joe fuck yo mama? Hahaha! J-E-T-S Jets!
Dan Marino #1, i like a laugh every now and then. Dan had his chance to prove he was better than Joe in the Superbowl. He was laughed out of the stadium.
If you want a legit list of The Best QB's Ever (with research done), check out my list on my page. tell me what you think. P.S. You are very funny putting Marino at 1. You got me laughing. How could the best quarterback ever, have the worst playoff win percentage, not to mention no titles and only one MVP? You are silly.
Namath #6? Maybe #600. They mean gretest as in "ability" not "publicity". Suzy Kolber didn't even think he was worth a kiss, let alone worth a fuck. ROFLMAO.
1. joe montana 2. troy aikman 3. terry bradshaw 4. tom brady 5. peyton manning 6. dan marino 7. brett favre 8. john elway 9. roger stauback 10. kurt warner
Manning is way overrated. all he looks to do is throw short passes...This guy Butchers any long passes....top 10 qb of all time? hell no...Joe Montana would have scored a td easy in that spot
QB's stats are accumulated to win. If you play well during the year with a good win/loss, and you lose in the playoffs or Superbowl, stats don't mean anything.
Signature plays by a QB are also important. Montana has "the Catch", the Superbowl winning pass to John Taylor, throwing multiple TD passes to Jerry Rice in SB against Denver, etc. You can't have the QB's signature moment be their FG kicker winning the SB period.
Dude pretty good job 10. Starr 9. Bradshaw 8. Staubach 7. Namath 6. Young 5. Tarkenton 4. Elway 3. Unitas 2. Montanna 1. Marino Pretty good just change the top 6 of ur list but pretty good
well it was ok frank tenton put him in terry bradshaw and steve young spot and put jon elway and put him in jonny unitis and it would be good but it was pretty good other then that
uh was aikman the starting QB in 3 super bowls and mvp of one of them? i think so and last i checked stats dont make you the best QB. look at favre he has all the records and one ring that he wasnt even the MVP of. troy didnt need all those TDs to get the job done, he didnt committ huge mistakes and he led his team. the cowboys dont win a super bowl in the 90s with any other QB.
aikman was a system qb, hes not bad, he did what he needed to win but that doesn't put him in the top ten and i don't think any qb played with a hall of fame wr that long and put up such bad numbers, emmitt smith was the focal point of that offense
a system QB?? dallas didnt run a specific system like the 49ers did or some other teams. dallas won because they had superior talent. jimmy johnson even said that he was a good coach he was a good talent evaluator. dallas had players from a bunch of small schools like valdosta state and the rest were from miami basically. emmitt was the focal point? such bad numbers? i think you need to look at the stats again. aikman dont have a bunch of 20 int seasons.
oh so you think stats make you great? i'll take SBs and wins if he wasnt a factor then maybe he wouldnt have a SB MVP and maybe jason garrett would have been the starter since he wasnt a factor but he wasnt troy was the starter for a reason. look at terry bradshaws stats they are not great but he WON GAMES!!!! thats all that matters.
lamonica has no SBs and hes not in the hall. lamonica is better known for throwin the bomb and the "heidi" game, he isnt even the best raider QB of all time thats the kenny stabler or jim plunkett. troy aikman the dallas cowboys. stats is for people with no titles like lamonica, marino, esiason and hoopers like barkley, ewing etc...
Lamonica has the secod best winning percentage. A better one than Aikmann to bad he was screwed over. While Aikmann has 3 superbowls but he won with a great defense and great running game. Sure he won alot but Big Ben has won 2 titles in his short carreer which makes him a great all time QB. No doubt bigben will win another one
winning %?? another stat that means zero, he didnt get the job done stabler did. no team that won a super bowl won with a weak defense so whats your point? all SB champs have good Ds. big ben is not a great QB but he has 2 rings although he played like shit in one of them. big ben couldnt hold aikman's balls with a crane. aikman won big time games. he beat green bay 3 times in the playoffs, he beat the 9ers in SF in the NFC title game. he won 3 SBs in 4 years and could have won 4 in a row.
he barely threw more ints than touchdowns but i never said he was bad but he wasnt vital to there dynasty. People think that just because they won they had an amazin quarterback and wr when they had the best defense and o line in the league and yes emmitt smith carried the load on offense
he wasnt vital to their dynasty? ok again, why wasnt jason garrett the starter? why wasnt wade wilson the starter or bernie kosar or steve walsh? all those guys were in dallas when troy was there but for some reason troy was the one. if he was that bad they would have put another guy in there or they wouldnt have drafted him at all. i never said troy was amazing i said hes a SB MVP and in the hall for winning games!!!! he could have easily thrown picks in big games and got yanked but he didnt.
troy had a hall of fame WR....so did montana. are we going to base this off of surrounding cast? if thats the case elway is the best he got to 3 SBs with nobodys at WR and then won 2 with journeymen WRs.
troy aikman is 11-5 in the playoffs..enuff said, 6 straight pro bowls, he was top 10 in completions 4 of his 10 years as a pro. he lost his last 3 playoff games? look at brett favre's playoff record its no where near aikmans and the cowboys as a team was no where near their glory years after 1996. only threw 1 pick in 3 super bowls. greatness is decided by postseason play. aikmans numbers are similar to tom brady's and terry bradshaw. get your priorities straight, SBs is all that matter.
yes superbowls are most important for teams to win because teams win them. Aikman did what he had to do to win, it was nothing amazing and i don't think he should have anything more but that should not get him in the hall of fame
there was plenty of other QBs on the cowboys roster during those years and he was the one to lead them. he was MVP of one of them also. he is the dallas cowboys he has more rings than staubach.
any QB that wins as many playoff games and super bowls as troy is going to the hall point blank. terry bradshaw dont have amazing stats and hes in the hall what are you going to kick him out too? namath is the most overrated QB in the hall are you going to kick him out? for who? a stat king? please.......the hall is for winners.
you dont see archie manning in the hall do you? how about kenny o'brien? nope no hall. all the great QBs in the history of the nfl that are in the hall brought there teams to the playoffs and possibly a SB appearance. i cant think of one great QB that didnt have success thats in the hall.
u r fucked up u know nothing about football i hate u suck at life first of all why the fuck is joe namouth not in the top 3 fucktarddddddddddddd second of all why the fuckidy fuck fuck is dan moreno randed better than joe montana u know nothing dont ever post anything again it goes..............
shortkid2407 ur totally right srry to the dude who made this but ur "top ten" sucks...shortkid2407 is right...except for brett farve...hes still playing!
and he did it with great style and true gritt. hes a legend. Why? Because when you tell a story about a legend your like nah thats impossible. and Favre always seemd to make the impossible possible. He was Unbelievable and true Legend.
You cant say Favre is bad cause of his interception record. If he was bad thats the only record hed have. HE has all the others as well. He was a gunslinger and he played the way he knew how. He was a rare find. He could throw 3 picks and 4 tds in a game. he made up for his flaws.
@uchuskiesstix21 Joe Namath; he is an over ratted bum. He had 1 good game and thats why he is in the Hall of Fame, look at his career numbers, THEY SUCK! anyone who had thrown more pics than TD should be banned from the HOF, also anyone with a passer rating of less than 80 should be banned too, the HOF is for greatness, not mediocrity. (Within 1/2 point of 80) I guess with that Bradshaw would be considered over ratted too, so Aikman can go ahead of them. (At least Terry's PR isn't in the 60's)
@Metallica91593 Well if you think that Joe Namath is a better quarterback than Tom Brady, you need to reevaluate your standards for a good quarterback. Joe Namath is a bum who got into the HOF because of 1 game. If it was another quarterback who won SBIII than you wouldn't even consider Namath as an average quarterback.
jhonny unitas is no were as good as steve young, or jhon elway and dan marino is not #1 with no super bowls under his belt and i dont wanna hear oo he had no team cause jhon elway went 2 the super bowls like 3 times w/o ant 1 and when they got terell davis they won it 2 years in a row and e retired early

@Metallica91593 how can u say tom brady not in the top ten, definitley not number one, somewher likie #6
kevdoyleman 1 year ago
@Metallica91593 Well if you think that Joe Namath is a better quarterback than Tom Brady, you need to reevaluate your standards for a good quarterback. Joe Namath is a bum who got into the HOF because of 1 game. If it was another quarterback who won SBIII than you wouldn't even consider Namath as an average quarterback.
