I found it very strange when MW3 featured the Five-Seven as the WEAKEST pistol in the game. While in real life it is actually one of the most effective.

@FiveTwoSevenTHR Harder to get the ammo and surely you dont need a round that can penetrate armour? Go for what you prefer but I'd recommend you check around because people that have used it dont speak that highly of the five-seven. You can do a good check on most weapons by checking some of Youtube's gun owners, there's tons of good reviews and it might save you some serious cash

5.7x28mm that's a pretty skinny but long round. I mean 9mm is 9X19mm. Looks like it kicks less than my P226 in 9mm. What's the ballistics like? compared to a 9mm? stronger? Just curious. Thanks, jordan.
@PewPewPlasmagun At 50 meters the sights of the pistol would cover a human sized target. There's little to no point in bringing up info like that, as it's relatively worthless.
I would not suggest feeding .223 in the five-seven. Do they even fit in the magazine?? Shoot what your gun was chambered for...bottom line. Bullet pressures vary alot, and though some stuff will fit in a barrel does not mean you can shoot it safely.
If a really fast bullet is the deciding factor in selecting a handgun that may one day save your life, then zip away. I personally prefer a vicious .45ACP hollowpoint that expands to nearly an inch and hits with nearly 600ft/lbs of energy. Oh and there are ALOT of .45 bullet offerings...not so much for that 5.7
its a glorified .22lr the 5.7x28mm goes about 1800 fps...a stinger .22lr will do 1640 fps...difference is .22 costs about 1/10th the price of a 5.7x28mm
Actually the 5.7mm is still about 65% more powerful than the .22 lr rifle because of the slightly larger width and weight and velocity also it shoots a more aerodynamic bullet.

okay you stated 1600+ fps for a 32 grain 22 lr BUT that was fired from a rifle length barrel from a handgun the fastest 22 round the aguila supermaximum fires at 1000 fps with a 30 grain bullet and the hornady v max bullet fires at 1700 fps from the fnh five seven handgun shooting 5.7mm so when you calculate the muzzle energy of each you get 67 pounds for the 22lr and 257 pounds for the 5.7mm thats all the info i could find doing online research
@tubevideoguy762 i had a .22 walther p-22..the stingers i bought said 1640fps on the back of the plastic case..32 grain i do not recall the foot pounds of energy though...stingers by ccm are the fastest .22LRs that i know of..i have shot both the fnh 5.7 ss109's and .22LR stingers through my p-22 at a flak jacket that you can get at a army navy surplus store..both went clean through...so if your buying a handgun that has level 2 soft armor piercing capability..both work..but the .22LR is cheaper
@usmc2076 .22LR or any other rimfire is probably measured from a rifle, its a standard. if you are pushing it 1550 from a handgun you have some technology that will make you rich.
@1ohtaf1 well the ccm stinger say 1640fps...but like you said that is from a 16inch barrel..that is usally the stadard they use...but unless i had a chronograph...i can't tell for sure....but 1450fps to 1500fps out of the 4 inch barrel is not to crazy.
@usmc2076 If its a .22lr there is not much space for powder and the 5.7 has been engineered for maximum powder burn. It probably wasnt a 16"barrrel but rather a 20 or 24" one. And if it was measured from that the powders would be optomised for that barrel lenght, shooting it out of a shorter barrel will result in much more powder being burnt outside the barrel then standard ammunition of the caliber.

@SuperBiggeorge Hmm... maybe you should do a bit more research. .22's don't yaw, this round does. It also penetrates a lot more than a .22. So with deeper penetration, and yawing for a larger wound cavity it's more effective than a .22. With all that being said, would you want to take a .22 to the chest?

His accent is nothing like an Arabs, if him wearing something that resembles their ethnic clothing (Which it really does not, it's to protect the face and head from the elements) constitutes him being Arab, then by that logic, if I wear plaid shirts and jeans I must be a lumber jack, or if I wear bowler hats and smoke a pipe I MUST be British. The wrong tool in the wrong hands is dangerous for anyone- you don't look at an MG-42 and say "This killed hundreds of Allied soldiers in World War 2." or a box cutter and say "This is what the Al-Queda operatives used to take over the planes on 9/11." Stigmas like that cloud judgement. Fabrique Nationale makes a hell of a gun, and their designs have equipped armies worldwide.

Quit parroting Brady propaganda you fools. The AP ammo for the 5.7X28mm is heavily restricted to military and police, as all AP pistol ammo is. Many pistols, including the 9mm can fire, rounds that penetrate cloth vest, when loaded with heavily restricted military or police AP ammunition. The Five_seveN isn't some special exotic "cop killer" any more then the ever so common 9mm is, so quit spreading, repeating, or buying into Brady lies designed to help them expand gun control laws.

@mikeb1444 if you're gonna be lookin at pricier ranges like those,in the 800-1200 dollars range,then i would suggest the five seven,from what i hear its one of,if not THE best most practical pistols to have,i can also imagine that shooting a super low recoil 20 round clip in 5 seconds on a used computer would be a blast,though me personally,i dont make enough money to get the five seven ya know,otherwise id take the 1200 dollar five seven over your standard 800$ 45,like a 1911 anyday

@mikeb1444 it wont go through dragon skin,but it can go though body armor,its actually the reason the round and the p90 were developed, a light,easily maneuverable sub machine caliber weapon able to penetrate body armor in cqb,most people dont realise just how amazing a bullet it is,despite being a sub-sonic round,being able to penetrate most body armor,being very low recoil,and still able to operate the actions on the guns and not jam on you,like a shitty .22 or some subsonic rounds will

i dont like the .45 really much... i prefer the .40 cause got less recoil than .45 and more damage than 9mm so it's a good compromise...
my fav guns are: beretta 92fs, HK USP, glock 17 - 23 and FN five seven...

How heavy is this thing? I was thinking about getting one, just because it seems fairly small as full-sized pistols go. The 20rd ammunition capacity is very nice as well, at least until a hi-cap mag ban.

There is very little political will for much more gun control, especially something as drastic as a ban on handguns. Not to mention that the Supreme Court would definitely strike it down as unconstitutional.

They're not the usual cowards who will back down if confronted, they'll just beat the shit out of you and throw you in jail. If you look at how the United States functions, no matter which party is in power, it's far closer to fascism than it is to any form of socialism. @2142Unknown Fascism has nothing to do with racism, it's just that most fascist regimes have been racist. Fascism is the polar opposite of communism (totalitarian socialism). Instead of government running business, business runs the government. Mussolini himself said that fascism would be better described as corporatism. Fascism, in it's full form, is definitely more likely in the USA than is socialism. It'll come wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross, no doubt.

@2142Unknown They're not distraught at all, they're very rationally formed conclusions that any rational person would reach after looking into the subject for some time. Religion, particularly Christianity and Islam, do little more than sew fear and ignorance. It then become a vicious cycle because they're most effective at controlling a population when said population is uneducated. Christianity was a prime cause of the downfall of Rome and Europe's descent into darkness.
