1) when you are on the net and are giving out your e-mail here and there dont use the same e-mail you use in your games. 2) dont go crazy clicking on all links on different website that has to do with the game you play, you might just download a keylogger without knowing it. 3) change your password if you break up with your gf/bf.

Played WoW since release, got hacked once, reformated my hard drive, and never reinstalled it. I dropped WoW is because I started thinking about the underline reasons I got hacked. The first reason is that the game itself makes it worth buying gold for some people. Secondly and more importantly, when people complained about chinese farmers in game, blizzard eliminated them in a banning crusade. Thats why we have some chinaman lusting for our personal info if we play WoW now. I'll pass on that.
AVG will break those keyloggers... rather it'll quarantine it. From what I know Keyloggers are usually found in the Launcher.exe in my experience, if your having hacking issues I'd just delete the whole World of Warcraft directory and reinstall, my best advice right there (remember to remove the files you delete from your recycle bin as well)

Plus another smart move could be to type your password on a Text document and then instead of typing it in every time you run your wow. Use the Copy and past functions. Shortcuts should be "Ctrl+c" & "Ctrl+v". He cant see what you copied to the memory(RAM).
People who get hacked usually try to cash in on a) gold farming resources b) bot applications c) You're a douchebag for going to these resources and you deserve to be hacked 10 more times.

then i transfered my character to an another realm then my payment failed so i got the character on my old realm and my target realm at same time so I could not log into any of them. then i got hacked they took all my gold on my alts and put all the gear in the bank. but they could not take my gold on my main character that I sent to the new realm for they could not log in. or get norton 360 disc disconnect ur internet, put it in and install then have norton remove the keylogger then put ur pc back on... and change all ur freakin passwords!
you need to reformatt..hardrive..what a solution-with windows reinstalltion program this wont get rid of bad infection.. you need to wipe it with like a linux f-disk and then try again..I guess and then do a chkdsk /r to repair if there where damage sectors on the previous installation that now windows are unaware of .And you didnt mention what to with the saved data stored on like cdr-(wipe this also? or is these save?)

look, authenticating a pre-infected pc or changing pw's, email or any other online account information is useless, unless you are a pro don't go downloading programs that promise to rid you of all you're infections, first off a good repacker uploading keyloggers threw streaming spaces used by adobe, java and unpatched internet explorer web browsers, the only way to be sure to get rid of an infection is format, do what i do, have 1 pc dedicated to you're games that never takes risks
you can actually remove keyloggers for free, and over the internet... its pretty damn annoying though, as you have to read through alot of stuff and go to 9000 different directories on your computer.. reseting and reaplying buttons and all sorts of crap.

you need to reformatt..hardrive..what a solution-with windows reinstalltion program this wont get rid of bad infection.. you need to wipe it with like a linux f-disk and then try again..I guess and then do a chkdsk /r to repair if there where damage sectors on the previous installation that now windows are unaware of .And you didnt mention what to with the saved data stored on like cdr-(wipe this also? or is these save?)

Just like many fishing hooks waiting out there in the sea.
So this bunch of complacent players who fall into their trap gets their shit sold and gold transfered out. pooled together by the hacker and then sells it for real money into your realm, like u see now and then in your trade.
Happens to every single MMO out there with an economy system in it.

What blizz told me it's usually due to a virus you catch from visiting infested websites.
Strongly recommend get a anti virus run it, that's what I did and I haven't gotten hacked in 2 years

look, authenticating a pre-infected pc or changing pw's, email or any other online account information is useless, unless you are a pro don't go downloading programs that promise to rid you of all you're infections, first off a good repacker uploading keyloggers threw streaming spaces used by adobe, java and unpatched internet explorer web browsers, the only way to be sure to get rid of an infection is format, do what i do, have 1 pc dedicated to you're games that never takes risks

you can actually remove keyloggers for free, and over the internet... its pretty damn annoying though, as you have to read through alot of stuff and go to 9000 different directories on your computer.. reseting and reaplying buttons and all sorts of crap.
