ummm u should sit the fruit neatly on the pie... then mix a lil warm water with about 2 or 3 table spoons of honey and brush it on top of the fruit it will make it look really good and like it just came out of a recipe book ... try it!
I'm sorry, but I have yet to taste a palatable fat-free and lowfat cream cheese. When a company puts one on the market, I'll give this idea a try. Thanks for sharing ;)
That looks tasty! Philadelphia Cream Cheese would make this easy with it's ready to go cheesecake filling. We all love easy to make recipes...I know I do!
Perhaps it's an American thing. Europeans find some American food items sacrilegious. A similar product is Neufachatal cheese. Or try 8 oz low-fat cheese and quarter cup margarine. Or equal parts ricotta cheese and plain yogurt.
you can also pour a package or bowl in at once and then spread it, some even like it mixed so it's easier to do it all together, and if you really want to be smart, cut the crust before you put the fruit on it
Yes, experiment...use any combination of fresh fruit you like. The Graham cracker crust is extremely delicate...if you're a bachelor or just want a single slice, avoid cutting all together and buy individual-serving size crust. You are absolutely right, ivankostelic, don't be limited by recipes, these are only suggestions, do what the food tells you, go with your own muse.
Try it at home: a pie that requires no baking. Buy a prepared crust, line it with cream cheese, top it off with fresh berries. It is so simple even I can do it.
a pineapple is actually made of berries, so the title is a little redundant

@HalfbreedTrini The berry refers to raspberry, or any other berry you care to add. :)

Try the recipe with regular cream cheese then. Not that hard to switch it out and it tastes even better in my opinion.
