Folks, whales don't eat people!!! I have never even heard of a killer whale eating a person. These are higher thinking creatures who discriminate and choose not to eat people, at least non that I have ever heard of. This whale was just having a good time playing with the toys he found floating on the water's surface. Now that splashing around that he's doing could easily kill, but no one was eaten, I feel sure.

There's a relatively good video on youtube explaining it. I think this particular advert won awards for the technology or technique or whatever that was used.

The basic answer is that it was two separate pieces of footage that were layered on top of each other. Of course, it's a little more complicated because to make that kind of thing seamless is hard, but that's the simple answer of how.

Also, for it to be real at that scale orcas would have to be about twice the size they actually are.
