  • Flagged? Is that a joke? I watched this movie in my french class at /school/

  • Lol, did anyone else notice at about 2:05, half the bowl isn't there?

  • Its not too bad in english but I prefer in french lool

  • Actually this movie was written by a French man who grew up in Guinea Africa. And he said every little story of kirikou is based of his childhood in Africa. No there is no African actors or actresses in the background when you look in his studio of who made this little story possible they all are white French people not a single black person work behind the scene. But this movie is way better in it's original language which is French.

  • First this movie is French and I like way better in his original version and second, this movie the purpose for little child to learn more about africa which has certainly evolved but is still really poor... Now chill and watch the movie :)

  • OMG, LOVE IT! Can't wait to watch the rest!

  • GREAT movie !

  • continued, this movie promotes a stereotype. AFRICA is not just tribes and most people in Africa can indeed read, write, and fucking count. Fuck this propaganda! Africa is beautifully MODERN.

  • @BlackGirlScholar7 Well, this movie is not set in modern times obviously. It's in the pre-colonial era. And I think it's a beautiful movie.

  • @queenahmose who gives a fuck what YOU LIKE? lol not me

  • @BlackGirlScholar7 this movie is set in the old africa so calm down

  • Its true, this movie is Anti-African. Africa has developed tremendously and h

  • Remember seeing this years ago. Great lil' animated flick.

  • i can't believe this is flagged, that's just ridiculous. the bible holds much worse elements than naked breasts, and they're not edited.

  • In France and other normal country this is a kid/family movie.

In the united states of america...this is porn -_-

  • @TheSummerinfrance so did I!

  • @vianbeal1 are u crazy in head or what ???? shut up u !!!!!

  • anyone else find it weird that YouTube didn't ban this? it seems like something they would downtalk

  • Thanks mate!!!! do you know how long I've been searching 4 dis???....really there's nothing you've been looking for u cant see on youtube....

  • What the actual fuck... I can't even...

  • It shouldnt b age restricted and I watched in french at school

  • Me & my Babies Love this...thank U =)!!!

  • @servatoaisaggi Oh, so basically you're a coward who won't accept others' opinions.

  • as an african,i think they did well on the african childrens folk tales, but i don't the nude part is appropriate, most african cultures women wore huge ornaments on their chest which covered the top part and the nipple of the breasts,to me i think the MARK OF URU as a better animation compared to this.

  • IT IS REALLY TOO BAD THAT AFRICAN TRADITIONAL CHILDREN'S TALES ARE CONSIDERED INAPPROPIATE FOR CHILDREN. ()ESPECIALLY WHEN CHILDREN ARE BOMBARDED WITH SERIES CONCEIVED FOR ADULTS AND CHOCK-FULL OF SICKLY IDEAS ABOUT HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS. SUCH AS THE SIMPSONS).AND, BESIDES: 1: I ALWAYS WRITE IN CAPITALS AND 2: I ALWAYS DELETE THE MAILS OF COMMENT FROM MY YOUTUBE ACCOUNT WITHOUT EVEN OPENING THEM (SAVE YOU TIME...)

  • my first time watching this in english

  • OMG i fucking found IT!! After all these years Its been clawing at my mind!

  • "This video has been age restricted, based on our Community Guidelines."

    Absolutely ridiculous.

  • super genius baby lol

  • great movie about a strong little boy

  • This film is an Anti-African film written and directed by a European colonialist who lived in Africa with his imperialist parents. THIS IS NOT AN AUTHENTIC AFRICAN FILM. REPEAT. THIS IS NOT AN AUTHENTIC AFRICAN FILM. It is stereotypical, uninformed, and focused on providing caricature based images of Africa. REPEAT. THIS IS NOT AN AUTHENTIC AFRICAN FILM. It is just the new phase in the Heart of Darkness crap.

  • @4Kehinde Nonsense. There isn't an anti-African moment in the whole movie.

  • @4Kehinde I don't see what the problem is. This movie doesn't have any negative messages or meanings. How could you see it as anti-African or in some way bad just because it is not entirely authentic? It wasn't made by one person you know.

  • @4Kehinde I'm sure that there were plenty of African people that helped make this movie possible and i'm sure that they all had good intentions. They did not insult, they are only trying to spread this tale of inspiration to as many as possible which I think is an act of some kind of nobility in its own little w

  • @4Kehinde what the hell are you talking about ignorant ****, this is a afro-french collaboration movie based on an ancient african tale. if you dont like it,go watch the little mermaid and leave us alone.

  • i had to watch this in sckool as-well and me and my friends were talking bout how realistic it is cuz u can see the different shapes of boobs but i loved the movie

  • I'm glad someone uploaded this film on here.

The animation is well done as it is creative and it has a good story line.

  • Amazing. I am starting to do animation cos I live in Africa and there are folktales that I would like to bring to the screen too. :)

  • wow i watched this when i was like 4 years old. i'm 15 and a half now

  • this is amusing...

  • Kirikou is the G-est kid in the world

  • This is one of my favorite films! So happy to find it here.

  • So, are those who flagged the vid from Iran, from USA, or from Saudi Arabia?

  • Karaba has nice big black titties

  • i think its popular and its a nice movie for kids too and one more thing the fireballs are coming next year be ready! and i'm moving to africa soon

  • YO, i have not seen this movie since i was 7 or 8 maybe 5. i don't remember. i am now going to enjoy the nostalga.

  • It is impossible for Disney to pick up a film like this, because it's too Culturally Intelligent.

    *McWink*

  • I agree the nudity is not a big deal BUT.. I think the director missed out on having a much wider audience by sticking to his beliefs. The nudity doesn't add anything to the story, and the point of being authentic to the culture is moot, since this is a fantasy based film, & not a historic piece.

  • @Alkebulan32 it's both fantasy and history because it is based on a traditional folktale.

  • @Alkebulan32 NOPE, it is an African folk tale but both at the time of its invention and in its storytelling, nudity is a given. A bit of cultural relativism would not go amiss, it is just completely unauthentic to not have them dressed, expressing themselves, as they are ment to be.

  • yay brings back memories, i have the video. kirikou is so cuuuuuteee

  • sooooo mnay tiittiesssssssss

  • @appleglory Only someone coming from a puritan country would say something like that... Even in Western Europe, apart from English-speaking and Northern parts, nobody even "notices" the nudity that much. You guys are obsessed by the wrong things.

  • @AuxaneD Jesus christ can you not take a fucking joke?

  • @appleglory Not when so-called "joke" is stupid.

  • @AuxaneD Lmfao go take a chill pill champ

  • Thank you so much for posting this! MOTHER PEACE TO YOU!

  • i lov e this

  • I feel so bad for roof fetish in this movie.

  • Excellent movie...and I'm 25 years old!! I think if Disney was gonna do its first black movie....it should have been this instead of that weak ass princess and the frog bullshit lol!!!

  • @MalloreeKnocksTV Yes!!! I thought they were gonna something like this in the first place. Then when they revealed it was the princess and the frog i was like...."this is some bs"LOL

  • Excellent movie. I was able to teach my family a few points from this. I wish there were more out there like this that display a culture in its natural state.

  • @CameroonStar ...Natural? That could mean a variety of things, depending on the culture...

  • @Dingorok You say that as if there is no such culture that does not use clothing as a daily part of life, which I think you know is false. Of course there are many different cultures, and some dont wear and clothing at all, and if they do now, its because western culture has imposed their views of life on them. Nudity does NOT = sex. People in "nude" cultures have less sex crimes because of the fact that they dont have to use their "imagination", because they see nudity daily.

  • Thank you for uploading such a great movie. :D

AND SCREW YOU FLAG! Don't see why breast are such a big problem. ;;<< It's not like younger children didn't see them when they were little and not going to have them/see them in the future. ;;<< No point in having this being flagged for "sexual content".

  • omg english dubs sucks french ftw

  • this is so weird.

  • i had the game

  • I watched this movie so many times when I was younger. I loved the scenery and the style of the director, Michel Ocelot...Since its based on a popular children tale from africa, I never really made a big deal out of them being half naked. Childrens don't have any prejudice until their parents or TV teach them one.

  • This is such an amazing film.

  • @Karimandmocta

he's a child stupid! >_> seriously you cant expect a kid to have a big penis

  • @Karimandmocta

  • I don't understand why this film was so controversial. The nudity is functional, not sexual.

  • @LightStijn thats so nasty

  • @puregreen999 Nasty?

  • this is better in french.

  • it is!

  • I love this i saw it I think in 2003 or something because it aired on Canadian Broadcasting Channel. That week the were airing different movies from around the world too. I've been looking for this movie because I'd never seen an African cartoon since Sesame street aired an Anasi the spider cartoon and Brother Sun sister moon cartoon. This is so lovely I wish they would air more cartoons of African folklore. Kirikou is so cute!! XD

  • well the movie is good (best in danish)

but the serie is a little better (if you ask me)

  • I have this on tape, I watched it a really long time ago when I was younger, I remember it had scared me :/

  • where did you download this?

  • I watched this so long time ago, really enjoyed it. recommended strongly.

  • this is the best movie ever

  • @popolynn2

    hells yes mosuckra!

  • A great study of cultural prejudices....not the film itself, but the nature of the way it is viewed from culture to culture.

Obviously it's meant to be a children's fantasy, but of course in the West we aren't fond of children's cartoons having breasts.

But the movie is niether sexual nor in anyway objectionable. And those who are angered by its content only expose their own irrational prejudices.

  • @angelfox123456 Thank you for you comment, very well said. It is sad to read some of the comments here, it seems some of us (humans) are far too damaged (mentally) to be salvaged, their comments are full of nothing but prejudice!!! If one does not like Africa and the way of Africans, one should positively try to help bring about change for the benefit of Africa/African, otherwise, learn to live in peace with people who are different in their ways.

    God Bless Africa.

  • very brave men

but that really boarders the line doesn´t it
