My buddy and I have been running that in these cars for years. Low 12's in the 1/4 mile with stage 2, bolt ons, and slicks. Never touched the internals. Buddy, I have a stage 2 srt and the kit also comes with an adjustable wastegate actuator. I also have a greddy profec b spec 2 boost controller and I'm holding 20-21 PSI all the way to redline. So don't come
the stock TD04LR that comes on the Neon SRT-4 CANNOT hold 20+ PSI at 6K unless there is serious porting performed. The Mopar stage 2 only comes with an ECU and injectors, Map sensor, and some more useless shit with the Toys package. On my srt-4 i WELDED the wastegate shit and it would spike to 25-26 but drop to 16-17 at redline.
The SRT-4 can boost 22 psi on the stock turbo and if you buy the mopar stage 2 kit you can hold full boost at redline on WOT shifts! You can also do it with a stage 1, adjustable wastegate and boost controller!
Stock turbos do that on nearly every car. I mean drop pressure. And usually, It's to stretch the car's torque curve. Larger turbos normally come with larger fueling, and changes the entire dynamics of the engine.
it called back diamiter of the tubular/stock headers and its probably got a stock turbo with a stock wastegate so it cant hold a good psi under load. hahah ^^^^

you can have all the mods in the world but if you running the stock turbo and your hitting 22 lbs of boost your turbo will not last. your actually loosing power at that much cause it cant handle the power..
it depends.. stock turbo can handle 22 psi no problem. it wont make anymore power after a certain point. fully ported stock turbo can handle around 24-25 psi. yes anything over 22psi on a stock turbo will start to tear up the bearings in a heart beat. and besides it wasnt boosting 20-22 lbs all the way to red line. it was dropping down to 15 psi
