@watchchiliad sorry but Mayer could play this song in his sleep..im sure John and Keith talked before the show and ..John doesnt need to showoff at this point in his career..im sure he loved that Keith played that way..it worked with what he was playing. - Keith just got another style, as a guitarplayer and maybe practiced the song abit more. Mayer is playing less but equally as good as keith in this video. that is the key..to not overdo it.
