  • A very good song!!!! Thank you very much!!!!

  • wow sooooo good! I love the video <3

  • They opened for Frankie Goes to Hollywood in 1986 in Austin, Tx. I was there and thought they were the better band. Agreed that they were underrated.

  • @seaniebouy

    They?

  • is this song from Murray Head originally?

  • love it!

  • God the 80s were shite. Songwriting by committee.

  • excelente track

  • WOW ME GUSTA ESTE VIDEO!!! Y LA CANCIÓN NI SE DIGA

  • This brings back good memories

  • "Where is my SWATCH WATCH"!

  • This is a profound video. It makes me very sad today. I was the young person when this was a hit in the 80's...and now I am the middle-aged adult. I had not seen this video since the 80's...and seeing it now made me cry...I see it now in an entirely different light...how time goes by so quickly and our carefree youth is gone.

  • We should all let the kid in us out to play!

  • What a fantastic 80's synth classic! Brilliant. Pop songs were so damn fun to listen to then. The acts today take themselves way too serious. Ha-ha-ha, the guy singing has a 'Sick-Boy' from Trainspotting thing goin on. Great!!!

  • Great song,fantastic video-pure 80s synth pop,those where the days!!!

  • Gawd, haven't heard this song in ages. Have the 12" of this on vinyl. Belouis Some opened for Frankie Goes to Hollywood at the Hollywood Bowl and I missed their set getting drunk in the parking lot. Doh!!!

  • cReaTor..like yoU do whEn yOu fAll in LoVe..

  • Damn, I had completely forgot about this amazing song. Awesome to hear it again.

  • I have this on DVD.

  • I can't seem to find this version ANYWHERE. The only version I can find is just over 4 mins long. Do you know where I can find this version on CD.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. Brings back great memories.

  • a great song from the 80's.

  • Wow ! How I miss the 1980's. The music that came out of Europe was amazing. I still have this track on an actual record album from back then. It's one of my prized possessions.

  • I was lead here by my sudjested searches....I do not udnerstand why...

  • Filmed in the UK - Aldburgh in Suffolk I believe

  • @simonrbennett yep and funfair is in great yarmouth, changed alot since them days !!

  • Whatever happened to him??? I still have this tape and saw him open for Frankie in 1985.

  • This was my sisters favourite song...funny, we always disagreed on everything apart from great music!!!

  • These kids dance with a kind of ferocity that I really like. Any idea where they were cast from? Same dance company?

  • Oh, such great, wonderful memories of growing up in the 80s. The world seemed so care free and simple back then.

Thanks for posting this great song & vid.

PS: Does anyone know if they have posted the SWATCH ad that features Belouis Some and this song?

  • I agree this is a fab track it should of got higher in the charts.

  • Brilliant song and video. Does anyone know were it was filmed ? In Germany or UK maybe ?

  • a very handsome and talented young lad. What ever happened to??

  • Nice song with pretty people and pretty scenery. These were good times. Thanks for posting this.

  • Thanks so much for posting...haven't seen this video in years. I still remember the Swatch commercial he did with a clip of this song...

  • he has a place in my heart

  • When I listen to this song, I can't help thinking that 80s music really rules, especially comparing with today's music...

    Thanks for uploading!

  • wow, I just got that the young kids were the grown up people. great video and song from the best time in music history.

  • man round and round is a cool song

  • I saw them in 1985...they opened for FGTH in Tampa!

  • AAhh shit I miss this song a lot. It is a brilliant song. viva the 80s.

  • Great Video. I have a friend who partied with them in London one year.

  • I asked a dj at a club to play this and he'd never heard of them! I was like CHRIST!

  • I LOVED THIS SONG!!!

  • anyone got the song round and round

  • @MRDXKLIQ101 I'm looking for it too!

  • I believe the video was shot in Aldeburgh in Suffolk.

  • 12" was better than the 7" - great single but always marred that the song title was the same as his surname

  • "Belouis Some" was his stage name, so maybe this was his eponymous single.

  • Happy memories with this gorgeous song, full of live and hope. Very underrated stuff - love it.

  • he is extremely handsome and charismatic in this video.

  • Does anybody know where that theme park is, I'm guessing it's Alton Towers :-)

  • maybe Coney Island in NY.

  • fuckin alton towers lol! briliant lol!!!!

  • This song is extremely catchy, and Belouis was so cute.

  • One of those masterpieces from the 80´s paying tribute to the 50´s. There was some kind of obession for that decade in many of the stuff produced during the 80´s. However, post II World War a great period in human history to lift up spirits and forget about sorrow. Something faithfully achieved during the 80´s. Thanks for sharing this.

  • I wish someone would post the Swatch Commercial that features this song.

  • Belouis Some was a very different singer for me and I think he deserved more success that he got.

This and Imagination were brilliant songs.

  • Holy Crap. I was in love with this dude. I got to see him perform in San Francisco back in the day. This brings back so many memories.

  • thanks to andy kipnes for promoting this artist so hard when i was music director of wusb at stony brook university.

  • I had seen them in 1984, opening up for "Frankie Goes To Hollywood" 25 years ago, I'm getting old!

  • My freshman year in high school. I can't believe you remembered.

  • The video was partly filmed in Aldeburgh, Suffolk. I followed the film crew around the town watching them film the video. Great to see it again after all this time.

  • I haven't heard this song in years!! I think the last time I heard it, I was the kids in the videos age, and now I am the grown ups in the videos age!! HaHa! Thank for the trip down memory lane! :-)

  • bellissima!!! song wooow siiiiiii!!! stupendi anni 80

  • Classic! So many 80's songs deserved much bigger success!

  • Great 80's classic from the soundtrack of "Pretty in Pink". I just added this to my favorites!! *smile* --Kim

  • Had almost forgotten this one. Recently cleared my favs and started over- it seemed to clear my head. Sorry I had to lose friend in the process.

  • hes well fit

  • I have so many great memories of the 1980's I feel sorry for the kids growing up now cos they wont have as much to remember cos they are influenced by drink and drugs and a lot of bad music. We were so innocent back then but at least we remember it and the music that came with it!!!!!

  • Sorry to disappoint you, but there was drink and drugs then. You're right about having better memories though. Modern culture is nauseating.

  • @StacysMom13 In truth every generation at least since WWII feels that their generation was innocent compared to the one that followed. I mean what do you think the generation that was succeeded by the rock n roll generation must have thought? But yes to a certain degree each generation is right in thinking that. Without a doubt, kids nowadays are growing up in a horribly superficial & materialistic world with the music to match. Personally don't feel this is a very good 80's song though.

  • An excellent 80's song!! I believe this was on the "Pretty In Pink" soundtrack if I'm not mistaken. I've always loved this song! I should have received more airplay than it did. I miss the 80's too! Peace, Kim

  • Great song. I saw him in Tampa, Florida when he opened for Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

  • WOOOOW!!

I haven't heard this since I was in high school - still love it...

    Thanks for posting !!!

  • I MISS THE 80'S!

  • Me too! Great times and great tunes back then.

  • does anyone know where these guys were from???? Holland????

  • FroM Yorkshire, England.

  • Makes me miss those full service gas stations :)

  • Who's that dishy mechanic? Could it be that fine actor musician Danny Darcy

  • this video is horrible to say the least; but hey...it was the 80's and most videos where cheese; unlike the music though, that was the best I can honestly say I belive it was/is. All bands today try to imitate in some way or another 80's bands (there where some shitty also I must say)

  • ..."there were some shitty bands also I must say"

  • Thank you for the video. One of my favorite songs. I listened to this song in my '66 bug on cassette as I drove from Massachusetts to California in 1985.

  • OMG! mid 80's? I vagely remember this tune. nice. thanx

  • I got to meet Belous some in 1985..with Frankie goes to Hollywood. Great bands.

  • Swatch...I remember seeing those too...that explains the watches.

  • God, I remember seeing this on "Emu's World" in the UK with the late Rod Hull, and one of the kids who was dancing for the show was singled out because they were in this video... damn repressed memories...

  • This was a very famous song in Puerto Rico back in the 80s!

  • MY god, is that Pete Postlethwaite in the video?

  • I remember watching this being filmed at Carters garage. Christ Im old.

  • classic in so many ways

just have to wait for the cavemen to get their heads round the allegro steering wheel

    after that w2ho knows?

    WLLL

  • I had Belouis Some's illigitimate child. Conceived in Wakefield McDonald's funnily enough

  • can someone tell me how to pronounce his last name? is it "so-may"?

  • I remember listening to this album alot. Rest of album was good too if you liked the two main hits.

  • i miss wlir 92.7 also!!doesn't get any betteer than that!!love the 80's and this song!!!

  • I remember this from the Swatch commercials back in the 80's

  • Belouis Some was a singer that was popular for a brief period during the 1980's. He now works as a manager in a Mc Donald's in Wakefield.

  • are you being serious?? he does not work for McDonalds lol

  • yeah its true...and everyone assumes belouis some is his real name so comes from some exotic country...but it's his stage name...his real name is neville keighley i believe and is from yorkshire!

  • amazing! well I will order his Big Mac next time I'm in Yorkshire lol

  • God Bless The 80´s:-)

    Wonderful song

  • Great song

  • Anyone remember seeing them at Reds in Levittown NY in 84 or 85? I miss WLIR 92.7. Those were the days

  • I grew up in the middle of nowhere Kentucky so, unfortunately some great music, like this ,escaped me.Luckily I escaped and found this great song.

  • Hey does anyone know where I could find this album in CD form??? Thanks so much for anyone who can help!

  • Go to Amazon. com. It's your best bet.

  • Thanks for the great trip down memory lane!

  • This is not 1 you hear often, about every 20 years.

  • I'm a huge 80s fan and I've never heard of this Belouis song... Maybe it wasn't released in North America?

  • I used to hear it at a club I went to in Dallas back in 1985/6......I still love this song.

  • Yes, it was released by Capital. I was in a dj record pool in the 80's & 90's/ It was released as a 12inch dance single . I used to play it all the time. A great song!

  • He has a great song called "Dream Girl" too

  • I love this song! Belouis Some also appeared on the Pretty in Pink Soundtrack, and this song specifically I believe was used in a Swatch Watch Ad back in the 80's on MTV...

  • Yes, this song was in a Swatch ad.

    The 80s ruled.

  • In fact, notice all the Swatch watches in this video.

  • belouis some... warlock pied piper

  • Where is this fairground,I recgonise it.

  • What a blast from the past!!! This song used to be played a lot in the mid 80s at a local L.A. station called KROQ-106.7. Thanks for Posting!

  • Loving this video. Not only is it one of my favorite songs of all time but man, when you see this incredible song put to video...WOW!

  • wow i have not heard this song since 1987, what memories

  • This video was made by a fellow called Storm Thurgeson; talented and insane. I was there when it was made. The weather was crap, the fish and chips were excellent. Neville did lots of walking.
