I think you're taking a little too much credit for America in WW2. America wasn't even actively engaged in the European theater of war until it was half way over. The people that did most of the fighting and bleeding against Hitler were the Soviets - BY FAR! It has served them well enough in the last 70 years and several countries have higher standards of living than we do now.

They were probably adding up the ages of the people instead of the number of actual bodies. There was no one under 30 in the crowd, so naturally the ages would add up to 1.7 million. There's right-wing math for ya!

its the university of sanford -- the same sanford as in scott v sanford. a black guy is 3/5ths a person so a white guy is 3 x 5 a person. so 100,000 is 1,500,000. simple math.

Beck, I think the University was called Freedom Works, which on Saturday dropped it to 600,000, even though the one University quoted to have anything to do with estimates (Boston University's expert on crowd estimation) said at peek; 75,000.
