This looks like the Ovens If it is then you dont have to keep it a secret. Its not easy to get to. If any one is interested in rock fishing then try Little Head too. Its on the other side of the Ovens. The Ovens is about a 2km walk on rocks from whale beach. Little head is easier to get to but the water isnt as deep and you will snag 3 times out of 5. You will still get monster drummer and good sized blacks. Early morning pillies will get you snapper and some kings too if youre lucky.

He guides round the sydney area, he's a friend of mine and a real proffessional rock fisherman and a really, really good guide. Looks like you guys had a good session...

rock fishing is the best i caught a 2.9 kg leather jacket and it had a yellow patch on the sides lol

If you like this video then great. If u don't, I don't need to hear about it. Any negative comments will be deleted and the user will be blocked. We were fishing with a professional guide, in big seas, but in an area sheltered from the swell. It may look dangerous but that is how it was edited. And in case anyone was wondering it is actually safer to stand on 1 foot when when the wave comes in. Less drag. Read and learn. Rock fishing is dangerous but not if you watch EVERY wave.

black drummer are a species of blackfish. The correct name for a drummer is a rock blackfish. If yoi are reffering to luderick then yeah they are diffrent species but blackfish is only a slang term for a luderick

I see.. where i live.. (mid north coast) We usually call them Drummer or PIGS. Luderick are usually referred to as blackfish... darkys (or Niggers by most old rednecks).
