  • Look at the EnviroWashout and reduce freshwater usage by up to 90%!

  • That's good to hear....I thought they were going to send me there....Wooo Weee!

  • Situation is not like this anymore. Heidelberg Cement Caucasus invested a lot of money in new filters.

  • Diese geldgeilen Säcke verdienen Ihr Geld mit Raubbau in anderen Ländern. Wer diese unterstützt und Produkte kauft macht sich strafbar und ist keinesfalls besser!!

  • Heidelberg IS A FUCKED UP COMPANY.

  • For how cement plants pollute towns and environment, see "Castle Cement covers Clitheroe" --a Heidelberg owned cement plant in UK. It is burning up to 100 % hazardous/toxic chemicals as "fuel" in the kiln burner, and up to 100% animal waste in the pre-calciner. CLITHEROE IS UNDER THE PLUMES--FLIMED ON TIME-LAPSE. Also Heidelberg has started to use solid wastes in with the rock, "rock substitutes".

Type in Castle Cement, Clitheroe, Lancashire to see similar pollution

  • As I understand it, most of the materal released was simple dust. Regardless, the factory existed at that location, in that condition, for decades before being purchased by Heidelberg Cement. Afterwards, Georgian industry and environmental laws didn't allow for significant modifications without a lengthy red-tape process. That was eventually completed, allowing them to make changes to reduce emissions. Filters have now been added.

  • Heidelberg Cement bought this Cement Plant in that conditions. This year they started operation with new Bag Filters (Redecam) installed for all three kilns there. You can not observe such situation any more.

  • Wow, that's pretty bad!

I worked at a cement plant in Pennsylvania for 21 yrs. I was a control room operator for 4 of those yrs. If we went over 20% opacity for more than 3 consecutive mins we had to call the County Pollution Control Office. Over 60% opacity for any amount of time and we had to shut down.

  • very interesting. more experts out here?

  • I work for a cement producer since many years and I have visited many plants all over the world. I have never seen this kind of pollution out of the main stack. It may happen if you have to shut down your electrical precipitator. But this is for a view minutes only.

  • Don't expect it to get fixed because the Russians basically destroyed Georgia, so they have bigger problems.

  • The poor always suffer as the rich become richer. The people should destroy the plant and the people responsible for the severe pollution should be held accountable.

  • Thank you for posting this. I live near three cement plants in Midlothian, Texas USA which cause a lot of pollution too. Please keep using your camera to catch this outrageous behavior.
