As for the "mother-goddess", that is defined as the force that cherishes all things that have a personality of its own, a swaying tree, a shiny little beetle, an infant child, even the sunlight that beams down on the grass. The mother is respected as the life-force of love and care (much the same of God/Universe), but its all got a feminine and motherly emotion behind it.
I dont see why all religions cant be right. In the christian context of "God", i think that is defined the force that controls the balance and flow of everything, measuring and dealing karma, ultimetly lovign everything because everything is in a sense a part of that "Godly" whole. The gods from ancient times are probably human like entities that possesed god-like abilities such as some kind of magnificiant destruction or an ability we didnt possess at the time and we thought was otherwordly.

The image of the goddess is a wonderful one. It does not have to relate to anything mystical or spriritual just the idea of fertility and nature. what a lovely religion wicca is! I do not study it myself, but it seems a peaceful and nature loving religion. Just what is needed in the world today. Full of Love for your fellow man and the world around us. It really is the core of every religion, and if it is not, it should be. I hope that whatever deity or energy there is out there will help us get our world back on track.

Wicca is a very old belief system. The word witch comes from the word wicca, the word wicca comes from the word wise. The wise ones are reffered to way back in history, evidence s also found in archaeology and early literature. Wicca is a belief system based in nature, and nature base religions/belief systems have been around as long as Man!

Some physicists assert that the physical laws applying to very small things (quantum physics) are not the same laws that apply to large things (where Newtonian physics still hold). I think there's likely legitimacy to studies showing plants respond to stimuli, but unfortunately the water crystal studies seem poorly designed & aren't repeatable. As for the "mother-goddess", that is defined as the force that cherishes all things that have a personality of its own, a swaying tree, a shiny little beetle, an infant child, even the sunlight that beams down on the grass. The mother is respected as the life-force of love and care (much the same of God/Universe), but its all got a feminine and motherly emotion behind it.

I dont see why all religions cant be right. In the christian context of "God", i think that is defined the force that controls the balance and flow of everything, measuring and dealing karma, ultimetly lovign everything because everything is in a sense a part of that "Godly" whole. The gods from ancient times are probably human like entities that possesed god-like abilities such as some kind of magnificiant destruction or an ability we didnt possess at the time and we thought was otherwordly.

The image of the goddess is a wonderful one. It does not have to relate to anything mystical or spriritual just the idea of fertility and nature. Worship of real women will resolve many of the problems in the world by taking the focus off the evil man made religions and giving that energy to woman who will pay back many fold in love and kindness.

Wicca is a very old belief system. The word witch comes from the word wicca, the word wicca comes from the word wise. The wise ones are reffered to way back in history, evidence s also found in archaeology and early literature. Wicca is a belief system based in nature, and nature base religions/belief systems have been around as long as Man!

*sigh* I hoped for a some what more original prayer here but pardon me for saying but i read Christian prayer spray painted over with some Pagan paint. The word "Holy" has been so Misrepresented so much that i puke at it. cause in the end it was cause of "holy scripture that witches suffered.
Words such as Holy, Purification and Christian based terms I feel hold no place in Pagan and Wicca. and things that are Sacred to us. we are no light seekers but except ourselves fully.

I have studied theology and religon of all types for over 30 years. What you are just "discovering" my family has held onto for centuries. Should we by chance merely call the first religion, The First Religion? Isn't Wicca just a watered down version of the original Nature based religions? Advances in quantum physics is proving that we are all connected to everything else in the entire universe. Science experiments have proven that plants respond to stimuli, and that water crystals respond to intent. Some physicists assert that the physical laws applying to very small things (quantum physics) are not the same laws that apply to large things (where Newtonian physics still hold). I think there's likely legitimacy to studies showing plants respond to stimuli, but unfortunately the water crystal studies seem poorly designed & aren't repeatable. I agree and her actions need to be understood within the context of the reality (read life) she lived. Perhaps you meant your comment for someone else.

you're basing your judgment of a whole group of a whole group of ppl due to the actions of one person. this woman was clinically insane due to an illness. Not to religion. You should try and look through the eyes of a person and try to understand what it is to BE that person before you decide to judge them or a group of ppl. If you try to understand what it is like to be a goddess worshipper you will understand the ppl as a whole and not base who we are on someone of a lunatic mind

any person who makes claim to and promotes her or his self ascribed divinity is insane. anyone who ascribes divine status to a human being has gone over the edge. anyone who worships a created being is not of sound mind. i would like to know more about what happened in the yates case. im sure there is a lot more to it than "one crazed madperson".

Well, how do you kno it's made up? What if what YOU believed in was made up? Technically every religion is made up in some way. I'm not saying that none of it is true but all customs and traditions and religions are started by a single persons philosophy and then made into the religion. So, how do you know if it's truly real or not. And even if there was more than one person involved these ppl do not define all of the goddess worshippers in this world. What is someone thinx UR insane?

if you saw me bowing down infront of a human being and worshipping that person as though that person was a god wouldnt you consider me deluded? a god is an immortal being with suprahuman powers who is not of this earth, who is not bounded by time, caligula claimed he was a god and was later assasinated, he wanted his statue placed in the temple in jerusalem. everybody agrees that he was mad. pharaohs claimed they were gods incarnate. God exists outside time and space and created everything

@iorixs Thats is true but the way you say it, it implies that those who believe in a female diety is wrong and only male dieties are real. And goddess worshipers DO only worship a diety.Any who worship an actual person need mental help.but ONLY ppl who worship a physical being as a diety. Everyone else has a right to what is they think is god, gods, or gont religion ddess, ect. so saying they r insane for having a different religion in my mind is wrong because who's to say who or what is god?

God created our genders and put all things in order. but there was rebellion and things have to be sorted out. humanity, generaly, falls in with the rebel and behaves arrogantly and selfishly. there are people who deliberately read the bible and quran backwards and reverse what it prohibits and condones. they voluntarily join satanic organizations and commit horrible atrocities and abominations and they sink ever deeper into the depths of horrible obscenity and evil. this is the condition today

there is only one truth and this truth is probably recorded somewhere. 1 plus 1 has an infinite number of wrong answers but only one correct one. it is irrational to say that you can make up whatever solution you want and it will be valid because truth is subjective. there is only one true history and truth behind the human condition

@iorixs how can one piece of information or one person be entirely true? That's like listening to one persons side of the story. The truth is out there somewhere but you've got to pick it out from all other ppls stories about the world too. In the ancient babylonian culture and in many others, it is historically proven that the bible is a book of stories adapted from oral tradition. So, in order to find the truth, we must first look to ancient religions to find the main source of truth and faith

@iorixs the Earth is 14 billion years old, give or take. The god of the Judeo-Christians is what, 5000 years old? Everyone has the right to believe in what they will, whether it is god or Goddess. There's nothing wrong with feminism or Wicca (and the two are DEFINITELY NOT mutually inclusive concepts). You don't have the right to come here and call us insane, however.

someone told you that the earth is that old and you believe them, how old are the mountains, they crumble they cant be billions of yrs old so the fossils in them arent billions of yrs old so there is nothing left of the world as it was supposed billions of yrs ago. 1000 yrs times 1000 and this recurring 1000 times and all this 4.5 times over. that is an impossible time period in this world, there cant be any fossils billions of yrs old erosion and weathering destroys things

you are god, everyone is god, god is within and not outside yourself, god is not jesus nor is it buddha. It seems that mankind always tend to confuse himself and get lost in the labyrinth of religion. There is no right and there is no wrong. The truth and holy grail lies within every person. If you worship a god its important to not forget to listen to yourself as well. Its an expression of who you are, remembering where you came from, your roots and your animalistic nature. im not a god. im a created being. i didnt craete myself, i cant prevent a bug from biting me, i get colds, headaches, food poisoning, i produce waste, how am i a god? i am dependent on air, water and food to stay alive, i am weak i can freeze to death or i can choke on a morsel of food, how am i divine? caligula declared his divinity and everyone agreed that he was nuts. it is a peculair delusion this self ascribed divinity, it is dangerous because people think they have the right to kill

You clearly dont get what am saying. Im not saying that your flesh and bones are God. 2 me God is energy and every living being is energy, the life force, the spirit, like one big "god" all together. I dont see anything as above me or below me, it just exist. I dunno im not gonna try 2 explain it to you cause i dont think you understand what im saying. This is my opinion, everyone, and you, are free to think what they like. I see everything as divine, theres no better or worse, just differences
