  • ¿Pensaste que te ibas a llenar de guita después de "Behind The Rainbow"?... que ya de por sí es una cagada.... ¿qué onda con esos charangos glorificados? ¿ukuleles?.... ¿wtf?

  • when you need something that is less than more, this is perfect! Bravo... love it!

  • @Amberol Glad you liked it. It is one of my favourites.

  • Canción armoniosa y la voz es muy suave y agradable

  • Thank you.

  • I think he sounds pretty much like Eastwood?

Listen to the theme of Gran Torino or the song When i Sing About You by Clint Eastwood :)

    btw. awesome!

  • My favourite director.

  • how nice voice

  • Thanks.

  • u r so good man keep up the good work i love your voice

  • Thanks for listening.

  • Love the voice. The touch of rasp is a nice contrast with the soft quiet sound of the ukulele. I could only imagine how much more raspy your voice could be, but it sounds great with that soft leash you've put on it. Keep it real.

  • Thanks very much for the comment.

  • Perfect voice and mood, top job

  • Thanks Remco.

  • You are absolutely amazing, i love it!

  • Love this so very much!

  • Thank you.

  • very nice poem beautifully performed.

    5*

    all the best

    Kean

  • Thanks very much.

  • Your poor voice! Lay off the whiskey and cigarettes for a while, Ken.

    Lovely performance.

  • I managed to cut back a little on the hard liquor, but still can't get below 50 a day. Of course the ether helps with the whiskey withdrawal.

  • Ken, when you use the Zoom and the video in Movie Maker, do you use a count in on both to try and get them in synch. I know you suggested "nudging" the audio track into synch in Movie Maker but it's a bit harder than I thought. You do a great job in making it look seamless.

    Colin

  • No I don't use a count in. When I trim the video and audio I leave very little before the start of the tune. However, a count of say 5 would be a good way of doing it.

  • Thanks very much Ken. I love what you do and appreciate your help.

    Have a great weekend!

  • Ken could I ask what video camera you use to make these great videos? The quality and size is just great.

    Colin

  • excellent job Ken you have a very calming voice

    top stuff ruth

  • Thanks. I like this one more than most of the others I done recently.

  • Thanks.

  • It's really lovely Ken. Take care of your voice; I want to keep hearing your voice for a lot longer.

  • Thanks Joseph. It has now returned.

  • I think thats my favourite of your collaborations with Ruth, Ken. So its favourited!

  • Thanks James. I am pleased with this one.

  • You and Ruth work really well together! Her beautiful writing, your lovely playing, singing and arranging. So lovely!

  • Thank you, Michelle. I'm really pleased with this one.

  • Wonderful uplifting poem and music.

  • Thanks Brad.

  • I really liked this one. I liked how you repeated the last phrases.

  • Thank you.

  • Beautiful. I enjoyed that.

  • Thanks.

  • i wish i could write like Ruth, i wish i could rock like Ken. take care of that voice Ken!

  • It's slower returning, Russ. Thanks.

  • I wish I had a pup like yours and your voice Russ! :-) X

  • That was fun, Ken. The ukulele was perfect for the intimacy you created with the poem.

  • Thanks Alan. The poem "hit" me straight away.

  • Wow! The Ken/Ruth combo is really doing it for me (again). Although I'm sorry you're losing your voice...it really adds a great quality to this performance.

  • Haha. It's starting to return now.

  • Just Wonderful Ken,

    cheers,

    Todd

  • Thank you, Todd.

  • Sounds really good Ken! Are you using an expensive setup to record your videos? The sound quality is really nice.

  • A 4 year old compact camera (still not video) and a zoom H2. That's it.

  • Very nice Ken. I believe I could hear the strain in the voice but there's a nice touch to it. Get some rest mate! Btw, I'm still working on what we talked about. Will get back to you by the end of the week ok.

  • OK Dylan. Thanks.

  • Beautiful poem. Well done Ken. Your (lack of) voice worked perfectly.

  • Thank you Deach :-) X

  • I am going to see if there's time for one more recording before my voice fully returns. Thanks Deach.

  • Really well done Ken.

Such a lovely poem and your musical interpretation is a perfect compliment to it.

  • Thank you Derek, Ken's certainly added his magic to it! :-) X

  • Thanks Derek.

  • Very haunting, but beautiful. I love this kind of thing! Very well done Ken!

  • Just beautiful Ken (and Ruth)... That C7 just makes it. great Choice.

  • Thank you Grumps :-) X

  • Thanks. I agree about the C7, Coyote.

  • This is so very good- well done to both of you :)

  • Thanks Caroline.

  • Thank you Caroline :-) X

  • Awesome job, both of you! And your voice sounds more like Cohen than ever. Love it!

  • Haha. Its my throat infection that makes my voice half an octave deeper. It's just too quiet.

  • Really wonderful. A great collaboration of sorts. 5 stars

  • This is lovely Ken. What a nice thing for your friend, too :)

  • Thank you very much.

  • Nice

    5*

    All the best

    Kean

  • Thank you very much, Kean.

  • Beautiful...

Maybe I will have a lovely dream tonight.

    Thank you Mr,Ken.

  • That's my pleasure, Tsutomu.

  • "For once in a blue moon, we are home." That's an intriguing ending and a good one, I think, because it gets me wondering and filling in the blanks for myself. I like the happy tune, too, especially because it seems it may not last.

Hope whatever has a hold on your voice, gives it back, Ken. And I hope you are enjoying these collabs, because I sure am.

  • Thank you Don. Yes, I'm sure they'll give it back.

  • OMG Ken! I'm speechless! When I compose myself I'll PM you. I really really love it, thank you friend :-) X

  • I'm pleased.
