Ha, I found this finally! When I was a kid I was watching this on the "Pinoy Kids channel" a kiddy channel here in the Philippines, I didn't get to finish the series because the channel was removed. This was hard to look for since everything was translated to Filipino, nothing comes out when I tried to search some names, and I was new on the internet back then.

And now after 10 years! I finally found it!

I love Shadow Raiders, and for a decade old all CGI show, this show has aged very well, it's one of the few CGI shows I can watch, the others being ReBoot and Beast Wars, mainly because it's well written and animated smoothly, pretty much the opposite to some of today's shows that makes me feel like an idiot for watching.

I was recently able to talk to one of the chief guys from the old Mainframe days, and he said that the reason they had to shut the whole thing down was because the Trendmaster's toy line "War Planets" was no longer being continued (or at least their support for the show was) later they would find out it was a schizophrenic decision on the part of one of the company leaders. It was a hit show that was very well recieved, and they still had plenty of ideas.

@Seisachtheia Who did you speak to? I had heard before that the Toy company cut the funding of the show, and the writers had to change the original ending of season 2 to give it the ending that we ended up with.

I know this sounds bad, but I so wish that the Toy Company could have lasted long enough to accommodate the three seasons War Planets was suppose to get.

Why is it that you only find good shows from the past like this on the internet these days?

No attempt is made to release them on DVD or broadcast them on kid's channels.

The newer generations need to be exposed to dark stuff like this.

@RiddleAnim , the tech of the planets is very indicative of the people themselves, Ice has a very refined looking technology though it wasn't always the best, fire had a similar look but more based on roman styled ( the basic fighter was actually chariot) Rock is extremly basic, one they got something working properly they left it as is, no spit and polish cause it doesn't need it. Bone was pretty much all organic, the ships were living creatures, and the weapons were organs.

@ZeroCGR2 It happened to me with "The Roswell Conspiracies", I did remembered the title a bit, made a quick google search, and then began the hunt for the show, it was slow because there was no way of getting all the episodes, DVDs where incomplete, and youtube episodes got taken down, in a sheer of luck I found last month the ENTIRE show, with the best quality I plan to upload it them, I have the intro in my channel, it was a long search.

Shadow Raiders is a very good show, but in some way it's unsatisfying. They're fighting an invincible enemy, with an unlimited number of soldiers, and the only way they survive at the end is through sheer luck...what's the point?

In this case they all stand against an enemy that wont give them peace and in these situations you must indeed fight to your last breath. 2 valuable lessons for anyone.

More so the point was the enemy was a constant, however from the beginning to the end the fight changed the lives of all the races involved and united them into a single force (With a few memorable deaths along the way, like that d*ckhead Rock King) Its this simple moral that was the central idea of the show.
