I have the mw3 version of that controller and I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty rough on my controller and the d-pad is like it came...maybe you just got a bad one

Mine lasted about that long as well. I was shocked. I haven't had a controller break during normal play EVER in the history of my gaming, i.e. since 1986.

I got this for Christmas and it just broke off for me I barely even use dpad. I am pissed because Microsoft support won't give me another one. I paid a hell a lot of money for that. They never take care of their customers when there are problems they just say buy more stuff! When I had the RROD they were gonna make me pay a whole lot and I said I will just buy a new one thanks.

its because you were playing too hard with the new dpad sides down and as a result makes the top dpad panel brake off

I TOTALLY Recommend buying this controller if any1 is suffering many losses in any fighting game for the Xbox360 due to how horrible the original controllers D-pad is. The trick is to ONLY use it in disc Mode cuz that gives the D-pad support for normal pounding of moves in any fighting game.
