  • whoooo o_0 you did a very nice job on that!!!

  • thx to this awesome fan art, im 6 minutes and 30 seconds late for school.

  • man..you should have done the art work for Continuum Shift

  • @OnyxNexion thanks. :) Though I wanted to, it was not for me to decide. ^^

  • Something that always surprise me about these Speed-Paintings is that just when you get to think it's finished it's actually not and far to go.

    AWESOME!

  • thumb up or you

  • lemme guess, you're right handed? lolz

    NOTE TO OTHER ARTISTS

flip your image vertically if some motions are unconfortable for your wrist

  • I tip my digital hat to you, sir/madam. =D

  • @Alhazardous lol thanks! :D

  • noel is hot hotter than litchi

  • @yugimoto1207

if by hotter, you mean DAT ASS, then yes. otherwise Makoto is superior to both of them.

  • So, you were using illustrator and photoshop, or just photoshop? Because a lot of the actions you were doing looked more like they were done in illustrator, yet the drawing seemed more like Photoshop. Then again, I'm still learning Photoshop...

  • @pkmn08three Fully just photoshop. I use the lasso tool to make my solid colors.

  • Also, your Noel looks photoshopped!

  • @nerrage lol that's because it is! I painted it in photoshop after all. :)

  • I shat brix watching how many actions were flying by on the history menu.

  • @nerrage lol yeah it looks pretty crazy. :)

  • I second 'Overkill312' comment, but I feel more motivated to improve thanks to this xD!!

Awesome work my friend ^^ share some tips will you? =D

    *thumbs up*!! and fav'd

  • @Pandadood17 I'm glad that my art is able to motivate you! Best of luck! :D

  • people like you make me so jealous T_T

but i'm trying to improve, and will reach your level one day! and then pass it!!

  • @0verkill312 Thanks! I support your cause! Work hard! :D

  • what program did you use?

  • GREAT.

  • hey what tool in photoshop did you use to choose the right colour? i dun see you opening up the colour options.

  • I use the eyedropper tool, and grab colors directly from the reference. I do that to blend too. It's really fast so you might not see me switch to the eyedropper too. But I sometimes pick colors 5 times per second or more to get the right blend.

  • its amazing how a simple variation of colour can make an image look real with shadows and shine

  • that was awesome! the beret, the guns, and the hairlocks that stick out her beret...you really paid attention to detail. good job!

  • thanks very much for the comment! I appreciate it! :D

I hope you will be able to enjoy my other videos too!

  • You deserve more 5 stars on this video considering it looks like you put a HUGE amount of hard work and effort into this. Nice job!

  • Thanks very much! I appreciate the rating. ^_^

  • lol first time I've heard that term, and it makes me happy! thanks very much for the comment!

  • Amazing, wish i were you

  • Thanks! Not sure if you'd wish you were me though... ^_^;

  • YOU ARE GOD!!!!!!! i wish i could do that but im not that much of an artist. if i had to pick i would choose rachel.

  • I might do a fan art of Rachel next.

  • ...........damn I can never do that on photoshop (I would to guess that is what is done on). Only if I could.......only if I could do that.

  • Yup, it's done in photoshop.

So what would you do if you could? I'm still trying to figure that out myself...

  • It looks like hard work. good job

  • ^_^ yeah it's pretty hard work. Thanks for watching!

  • very nicely done, love the pose! in your other vids, I need to know how you made the pic go mirror image?

your vids are soo good!! keep it up!!

  • Thanks! To mirror an image, click Image> Rotate Canvas > Flip Image Horizontally.

  • What kind of mouse do you use?

  • Oh and how big is your monitor?

  • 1280x1024

  • Wacom Intuos 3

  • Your work amazes me. Everything you did in this video is well thought out and well done. 5/5 stars. Are drawn lines mostly done using a tablet or are you using the pen tool too?

  • Thanks!

All of it is tablet. Rarely do I use the pen tool.

  • That was perfect!

I have a few question though.

For the base colors you used the laso tool to trace over the line art, how do you get it so directly on the lines? As in, if you mess up on a line a "ctrl+z" Doesn't work.

and for the lines art, you used the brush instead of the pen....how did you get it so precise?

Lastly, when you were coloring it, you used an reference pic...that was truly clever. :D Keep up the excellent work!

  • Thanks!

    To answer your questions:

I use the polygon lasso tool instead of the regular one. It's way more accurate. To undo a dropped point, hit backspace.

To get precise lines, you need a tablet. You also have to alternate between using the brush and the eraser tool all the time. I prefer using the brush instead of the pen because it gives a more natural line quality to it.

  • awesome!! and amazing coloring! :)
