So, you were using illustrator and photoshop, or just photoshop? Because a lot of the actions you were doing looked more like they were done in illustrator, yet the drawing seemed more like Photoshop. Then again, I'm still learning Photoshop...
I use the eyedropper tool, and grab colors directly from the reference. I do that to blend too. It's really fast so you might not see me switch to the eyedropper too. But I sometimes pick colors 5 times per second or more to get the right blend.
Your work amazes me. Everything you did in this video is well thought out and well done. 5/5 stars. Are drawn lines mostly done using a tablet or are you using the pen tool too?
For the base colors you used the laso tool to trace over the line art, how do you get it so directly on the lines? As in, if you mess up on a line a "ctrl+z" Doesn't work.
and for the lines art, you used the brush instead of the pen....how did you get it so precise?
Lastly, when you were coloring it, you used an reference pic...that was truly clever. :D Keep up the excellent work!
I use the polygon lasso tool instead of the regular one. It's way more accurate. To undo a dropped point, hit backspace.
To get precise lines, you need a tablet. You also have to alternate between using the brush and the eraser tool all the time. I prefer using the brush instead of the pen because it gives a more natural line quality to it.
what can I say........AWESOME!!!!!!

Something that always surprise me about these Speed-Paintings is that just when you get to think it's finished it's actually not and far to go.
AWESOME!

All of it is tablet. Rarely do I use the pen tool.

That was perfect!
I have a few question though.
For the base colors you used the laso tool to trace over the line art, how do you get it so directly on the lines? As in, if you mess up on a line a "ctrl+z" Doesn't work.
and for the lines art, you used the brush instead of the pen....how did you get it so precise?

To answer your questions:
I use the polygon lasso tool instead of the regular one. It's way more accurate. To undo a dropped point, hit backspace.
To get precise lines, you need a tablet. You also have to alternate between using the brush and the eraser tool all the time. I prefer using the brush instead of the pen because it gives a more natural line quality to it.
