This may be off subject but i have a question, and Im looking for good advise. I'm stretching my "medusa" and labret, and their currently at 8g. Is it safe to use no flair surg steel plugs with an o ring holding it in?

@TheCrillow Ive never used an o-ring on the inside of my labret so I wouldnt know, but I have heard of people doing it and working. It will all depend on your body. Everyone is different. For example I play with my labret a lot, so having an o-ring on the inside might not be the best way for me. Also depending on how your lip rests against your gum line, it might be uncomfortable. You can give it a try see what happens. Its all trial and error. Good Luck

@Dyeguy117 Thanks man. The last guy I asked was a huge dick about it. But I just got a no flair 10g in my labret, and its very comfortable. The o ring is much softer then metal labrets.

@anzac36 My mom did not like the fact of my pierced ears. I was 17, I pierced my own lobes. I started stretching my ears and she didnt like it. After a while she didnt say anything. I thought she would flip out about my lip but she really didnt say anything, by that time i had large lobes and was way into my 20s. lol she couldnt really say much.

Eventually, as I was just about to make a verticle incision (via #11 blade) below the labret, I decided to pull the plug through the front of my lip. It worked but was quite painful and bled a suspected amount. All in all, I let my labrum heal (as it quickly tends to) and am ready to try again. Moral of the story = don't wrap tape to the point where it's barely smaller than the diameter of the inner flare. May seem like common sense, but it's quite suprising what the labrum is capable of.

Be careful; I was wearing inapporpraite 2G plugs with tape wrapped to the point of it being around half an mm. smaller than a 0. Over night, the flare started to make it's way halfway through my lip. I tried to push the plug back out (toward the inside of my mouth), but it wasn't going to work with that blut end.

I love it! I'd love to do the same, but I'd be nervous about the large hole... I have my ears sretched nearly as large as yours and love them and my labret at 6g.

If you're still wanting to stretch something further, you could always take your ears up to 2 inches. I really think it would look good.
