We Aren't crackpots. We are Dad's and business owners. We are volunteer coaches and Moms and everything in between. For a moment think about the word you hear the most out of the Tea Partiers. Liberty. We know what it means. We know that socialism takes Liberty. I have read the communist manifesto. Socialism is Marxism. We fought the Russians in a battle of ideology. Why surrender after we won. As far as the crackpots go. The hard left places subversives in our rallies to try and taint us.
From my own experience and family I do think there are a lot of racists in this country; whether they believe it or not. Although I don't agree with racist ideologies I still recognize that those who espouse them have a unalienable right to believe as they wish & speak what they will. So long as they don't hurt another person or their property I don't have any grievance with them.

I went to one in upstate NY before it was really know and there WAS a huge presence of racists there! They blended in but you know they were there from their jewelry, tattoos, or clothes.
Joining a rally AND freedom of speech is open to everyone. Ruining the image of a new organizations by appearing as psycho bigot extremists is appalling. This also confirms what most non-tea baggers already think.
