  • "Mechanical engineers focuses primarily on mechanical..."

orly?.. I did not know that

  • I was told by my engineering professor that there is no attractive women in this field, well those two ladies are definitely broke his stereotype

  • You know what they say. Engineers have the dreams. It’s the rest of us that have to live with the bloody nightmares they create.

  • 1. Engineering ads with (hot) chicks are pathetic

    2. ME is mainly thermo and mechanical design. Which is enough. It takes years to study that

    3. Engineering is versatile, you are not bound to your initial choice

The vid's content is valid for all engineering, so it does NOT give you special info about ME. If you need to know what ME is, check out a university. Talk to professors and participate in lectures (basics+advanced). A good university will offer this; if not, turn around and leave.

  • My advisor gave me the perfect example: Let's say we need to design and build a robot. The mechanical engineer designs the arm itself( metal parts, calculates forces on arm, etc.). The electrical engineer designs the motor and control panel and programs. Electromechanical does both and is usually a project manager. I would definitely say get both or a combination of both if you want some dough

  • Am from Egypt and my grades Allow to me to enter whether Medicine of Engineering ,, And am interested In both of them and can't really determine which Career will suits me better ,, my father is a doctor and He is trying to do everything and Facilities to be in his career ... What Shall I DO !?

  • @kott000 be a doctor if you're going to move back to live in egypt

  • It has something to do with building robots Right?

  • nice to see female students

  • Seems redundant and deceptive to label applied mechanics( physics ) as mechanical engineering. A long history of design through applied mathematics and trial and error knowledge gained through experience has been the hallmark of engineering.

Engineering reinvented itself as applied science. Any physicists can design a mechanical device or structure without ever having to take an engineering course. A more appropriate label should be applied mechanical physics.

  • more female engineers please

  • holy shit fuck MIT im going to teas....look at all the hot girls in a engineering video

  • Nice facilities!

  • where were all these female students when I got my degree?

  • @somendnguy lol

  • @somendnguy you were spot on bro. Life as a Mech Eng. student sucks. All I see is dudes everywhere in the lecture hall. I'll try my best to get some girls into our assignment groups but then by the time I try to convince her, she'll either drop the subject or change her class because there are too many guys in here.

  • last 3 years ago i 've studied in mechanical engineering for 4years and then go for national service in army.this video really bring me back to my interest. And i hope this channel will uploading up more videos.

  • whats this song called?

  • My advice is that you go to the best university (in mechanical engineering) that you can pass in. Do not waste any proportion of your talent.

And also, maybe you should think of choosing a final year project that is versatile and can be useful for many industries, not just a few.

  • If u wanna be a good engineer, and make good money, I am sure you need both mechanical and electronical. In my case, im studying electrical as my main major, and planning taking some courses on mechanical field. Understanding both sides are a good strategy to work as an engineer.

  • @kdtrinh I agree 100 %. The mixture between mechanical and electrical engineering you're talking about is Mechatronics, which is lately being called Robotics in my country.

  • hi guys,

i am a mechanical engineer and my advice to you if you like to understand and sense the science just join mechanical engineering.

if u have any questions about mechanical engineering just ask me :)

  • i can't decide weather to study mechanical or electronical.. id like to build things like the killbots or newer technology that's out today and things like that, what would that fall under though??

  • @13101987a hi man , I am going to start mechanical engineering soon . I am in newcastle uni now ~ good to meet you .

  • @Joey311644

    i wish u all the best :)

  • @13101987a does ur job get paid well?

  • @nerf2846

I'm currently working in Grundfos Egypt as a technical support engineer in the field of pumps and their applications.

and I can say mechanical engineers are paid well in Egypt,

but the salary depends on many things other than your major like:

1- the country's Standard of living

2- the company you're working in

    3- the experience you've got

    4- the skills you've got

In other words if you're a skilled engineer (regardless to your major) you'll paid well

  • am planing to be a mechanical enginner ^_^ wich me a gd luck

  • If my classes have hot girls like the ones in this video, sign me up. Lol

  • @BeyondNeptune so true... having no chicks in ME classes suck!! all the hot women are in Civil Engineering... I'm a year away from my B.S. in ME and I already hate it!! FML.

  • GAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi! I'm interested in architectural engineering! How is mechanical engineering related to it?

  • ME is related to arch and civil in theory, you will be studying how materials react under forces, in civil and arch eng you are dealing with steel concrete wood and such materials and in ME you are dealing with steels and other non ferrous metal alloys which have to become some link or a part of a machine rather than a habitable structure..

  • the answer to your question isnt that straight forward, but I hope it would help.

  • There is a branch of architectural that deals with the mechanics of buildings. This includes the water system, ventilation system, and stuff like that. There are also electrical and structural engineers in the architectural field, which is self-explanatory.
