Stats arent the only thing that should be used in judgement though. Steve Smith is one of the best but there are better receivers. Smith is one of my favorites because he does what no one else his size can do.

Although Randy Moss is my favorite receiver of all time and arguably the best all time. Stats say Jerry Rice but he also played with three HoF QB's in his career.

i'm going to have to split this up to elaborate.

in regard to fitz? he is, as of right now, the best receiver in the nfl. he is just on another level than anyone else, on his own planet. however boldin was just as good before he got injured. and even after he came back he was playing at a phenomenal level. when both are healthy, fitz has better hands and is faster, and hard to tackle. boldin has decent speed and decent hands. he can barrel through defenders throw. great yards after catch.

you should look at carolina's stats. it's unreal man. there are so many games where smith has at least half of delhomme's passing yards. he probably did that more than any other receiver in the nfl in 2008, i could do more research on it. however, he earned it. smith is amazing. fast as lightning, great hands, hard to tackle. he's a short fitz, but the thing is he is delhomme's only real target. you could argue that just makes it even more impressive that he gets the ball as much as he does.
