  • Your room commands a very fine view.

  • Hi, i have a question. How much did it cost you this entire trip? In dollars and yen please. Thanks and by the looks of it, it was awesome.

    Peace.

  • Nice video!

    So, what's your verdict?

Was it worth the money you spent?

Do you have a plan to go back or rather visit another country?

  • Hahaha, the toilet part! :D that cracked me :D

  • Hi Prizm4, this is a fantastic video and it brought back so many memories of when I was in Japan last year. Can't wait to return.

Just wanted to check the name of the track at the very beginning of Part 2 - you listed it as A State of Mind (documentary). Is this the film about the two North Korean school girls? Do you have any more details of the track as I'm not sure I can get hold of it in the UK. Thanks.

  • @louispotonias Hi, thanks for watching! Check your messages for more info on that track.

  • japan is my second personal legend.

  • we sure don't get toilets like this in canada. lol

  • is ur wife japanese? Damn you are blessed dude, I've always wanted to visit Japan!

  • i should have taken lots of videos like you but i was so mindblowned and amused that i actually forgot to. btw the same thing happened to me with the toilet :)

  • Belo video, parabens. merece muitos pontos.

  • So how much did those hotel rooms cost (in yen and US dollars)? and cool video by the way. :)

  • @meika1016 The hotel rooms we stayed in generally cost between 7500-12,000 yen, which in US dollars would probably be $70-110. We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, so couldn't justify spending more. Park Hyatt was just a treat for one night and cost 5x as much.

  • God this makes me miss tokyo!! I want to go back so so bad. I lived for a year there, but never really took videos or many pictures. I just kept forgetting to, and now I regret it.

Thank you for putting this up and compiling it so well.

  • "Let's get to the good stuff, the toilet!"

  • fantastic job editing!!

  • Great video. I am going to Japan in November and I hope to have a great experience as well.

    Regards

  • Good video I hope I go someday. What do you people mean by "Lost in Translation"? Like going to another country without knowing the language they speak?

  • Hi BeKoed - Lost in Translation is a movie with Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson. If you liked my video, you'll probably enjoy the movie.

Oh, and with regards to your other comment, don't wait until you're fluent in Japanese before you go to Japan. Just go whenever you have the means, you won't regret it.

  • Ok then thanks. Do some of the people there speak English too? I won't be able to go to Japan until i'm like 20 yrs old or something.

  • I love the music you used for the vid... what's the name of the song??

  • I never would have thought Nikko was that beautiful!

  • The part with the water jet was classic. Also, Nikko is beautiful.

  • i wonder what the women asked them at the park hyatt hotel, it seemed as if she wanted something??

  • she probably just went to help them with their luggage.

  • great trip , great video!

awesome musik und scenes. a lot of "lost in translation" mood indeed =D

i almost visited all the places you want except for nikko and that amusement park.

i know it's a lot to ask but could you guys list the songs you used in the video? i really liked them and if you put them in the description everybody has something from it.

    bye!

  • Hi, thank you for your comment! If you look through the older comments, I already posted a tracklist for the songs.

  • I can't wait for the day i can make my "Lost in Translation" trip to japan

  • You hardly even showed anything from Shinjuku!

  • No, we didn't look around Shinjuku on that trip, so no footage was taken.

  • You're video was still good though! No regrets! It shows a lot more then what other people posted actually.

  • Even their suburbs are better than ours O_O

  • nice toilet vid lol

  • ahahah yer akitatom (youtube name) got sprayed in the mouth.yer everything is pritty

  • that was amazing ... thanks for sharing ...

  • part 2 rocked!

  • EXCELENT video , thanks for share it !

  • what kind of camera do u use?

  • This one isn't it, but the Sony Cybershot T900 is the best Digital Camera it takes the best pictures and the video recording is HD 720p!

  • how much did it cost you in total to go to japan?

  • Haha Bubba Gump shrimp! Forrest Gump in Japan!

  • Here's a tracklist of the songs used (in order of appearance): Part 1: Death in Vegas - Girls The Island OST - My Name is Lincoln Lost in Translation OST - On the Subway Now and Then, Here and There OST - Komoriuta Rig - Standardized Part 2: A State of Mind (documentary) - music from the DVD. Vangelis - La Mort Du Loup Vangelis - Creation Du Monde Lost in Translation OST - Shibuya
  • That was actually the sound at the station. I think they play it when they're about to air a message over the speakers.

  • Nice part 2 of the vid. I went to Nikko on our Japan trip in June/July of last year. Very beautiful place.

  • Hi there.

Great vid, i realy liked it.

can you please tell me the name of the track starting at 09:02 and onward!?

  • Thanks mate. The track is called Shibuya by Brian Reitzell & Roger J Manning Jr. It's from the Lost in Translation soundtrack.

  • can u pls tell me the brand and type of the video camera u used?

  • It's an older Panasonic model, the GS55. It's not even 3CCD. However for my next upgrade I'd certainly look at the Panasonics as I like the colour they produce and they usually have a lot of manual controls.

  • thanks for the info

  • how much have you paid for this trip?

  • So Your Going In Japan For 3 days

  • um...yeah, I just figured I'd make the video first and get it out of the way before I go.

  • lol @ the toilet part. XD Glad you two had a great time. ^^
