Yeah, Ruth isn't terribly good. The character doesn't necessarily call for a perfect singer, but this is stretching those lines a bit too much. Fred and the King are very good though!

Ruth isn't a terribly good singer I'm afraid. She gets rather found out in the solo. Otherwise this is a nice little production. Perhaps a little bit too influenced by Papp and Essgee, but it looks great - and Frederic and the King are very good.

This production shows the clear ignorance of the director. He/she has watched the Papp version of the play and duplicated virtually every movement and vocal inflection. That is not art, it is stealing. The students in this production have not learned to act, they have learned to plagiarize. The director should be ashamed. Teach actors how to act, not how to impersonate.

I must say, well done. Our school back in Sweden, Film och Musikgymnasiet are going to perform this musical also. Not Pirates of Penzance but the movie, The Pirate Move. It shall be re-written to suit us swedes better. Anyways, what I wanted to tell is that I got the part as the Pirate King =D

I know why the sound is in that state, it is becuase there has been a feed taken of the sound desk this is why you cannot hear the band clearly you are only getting the level off the principals and not off the overall sound in the room

I can see where the Pirate King got a little labored, but I liked the off-stage staging.

When we put on this production I helped set the sound equipment up and we had chorus mics lining the stage and it worked an absolute treat, that sounds crap.

Attempts at an English accent might've been nice, and perhaps some more interaction from the chorus, they're just stood there... drowned out by the Pirate King's mic.

Its pretty good, seams slow. But for a school Production its exelently coreographed. Also the backround singers should have had a dub over or some hidden mics. Can't hear the chorus.
