I have no idea if you actually do read the bible...but Jesus himself asked to not be worshipped...and the idea that we "dethroned" him is an ignorant thought because we pray in Jesus' name. Jesus tells us about persecution and true Christians being hated because of HIS name....Christians have been persecuted even unto death for Christ's sake..all but one of the original apostles were martyred because of their declaring Jesus is God...
A JW has NEVER been persecuted for Christ's sake...their persecution is not the persecution of Christians...they deny our God and are NOT Christians...it is amazing that they call the mockery they receive as persecution..

When people have a religion, they get persecuted for it.
There's people who hate Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Zoroastrians, Sikhs, Wiccans, Scientologists, Druids, Asatrus, Deists, New Agers, Baha'is, Daoists, Shintos, Jainists, and all their respective denominations.
Even non-religious people like Atheists and Agnostics get persecuted for their beliefs, or lack thereof.
That's just the way things are.

The Jewish faith has been persecuted for centuries, should they also rejoice and leap for joy, for their reward is great in the heaven? He taught his disciples to preach in Matthew 10. Matthew 10:14 tells them to go house to house. Matthew 24:14 says this good news of the kingdomwill be preached... before the end comes.

@mavclo I am actually not a Witness. In fact I am not even close to one. I am in a military cadet program and I'm planning to go to college and be comissioned as an officer in army. (Which is totally a sin against the witnesses) and I salute the flag often. I am just tired of people going against one religion. I do study with the Witnesses but even if I was one. People aren't perfect and you my friend seem to like to use one person as a tool against the religion. But that's ok. It's common. :)

If we investigate the jehovah witnesses we find that there is very little truth - I'm not sure if you are familiar with the leading authorities of Ph'd, Archeologist, Greek translators etc who are involved in translating the Gospels (i.e Dr Mantey) All of which condemn the jw for malignantly misinterpreting the bible to suit there own beliefs

They firmly believe that the Bible will not contradict itself. I sat in on a study, and the minister was able to teach things using other people's Bible! This really illustrates how most translations are basically saying the same thing. However, the translations used by most church-goers don't contain,,

You cannot charge a real witness of spilling the blood of another fellow witness, because he'll go to jail before going to war. And yet the Church as a whole hasn't prevented their members from doing this. Jesus tells us the identifying mark of true christians[Read John 13:35]. How can one's religion fit this description?

That is why they used to be persecuted badly early on; burned as human torches on stakes. From what I read in the Bible, real Christians should be about preaching and teaching about God's Kingdom that Christ told everybody to pray for in the Lord's Prayer; not striking alliances with the governments.

When was the last time ANYBODY in office satisfied all of the people?
