This looks horrible, the wall paper looks like it came from the salvation army, the red on the cabinets are too much. I hope this person does not want to sell anytime soon, they just lowered the value of their home... When it comes to adding your decor make sure that you can move or take it out.. Stay with classic, this looks like laura Ashley from the 1980's puked in here.. Can you get a refund on this advice....
lol, even her last words were funny 'created two spaces anyone would be proud to call home.' A little advice for anyone out there, never do this to your kitchen. it's a disaster and something that will be out of fashion with in months and very dated. The kitchen before was much better. She actually managed to make it look more cluttered than before. Peace!
Lol now the people eating will be blocking the kitchen entrance. I think it looked better before with the lighter colours. Who tje fcuk gios for dramatic in the kitchen. And also 1920,s fruit walpaper.
I liked the way the white cabinets were before she had her hands on it! Didn't care for that terrible wallpaper.....it would be better for shelf paper. Those table stools don't look comfortable.
The kitchen is nice, but good heavens that fruit wallpaper is awful! That is SO outdated and old lady-ish! I mean 90+ old lady-ish in a nursing home or something! The room would have looked much bigger with a solid color in there. The kitchen and dining together was like mixing stripes and prints together in your outfit. No one does that.
I have to agree too much clutter for the eye. I would have put the color in fabric as swags over the windows to pull in the color of the floor and maybe some fun nobs but not all that busy stuff. Stressful
the kitchen area is nice, but the dining area is horrible because of that wallpaper. i knew it was gonna be ugly even before they put it. it's stroke-inducing =/
that is a God-awful eating area. . . I like the floors, but I'm sorry - the wallpaper's gotta go. . . they could have done something else to "unify" that area
I always love watching Joan's shows! She feels so genuine and NICE!
Seeing this episode really got me to wondering - how does that floor paint stand up to traffic and ordinary use? Does it scratch easily? Does it have any issues with peeling?
Normally we just see flooring replaced so this was a change that was new to me. I'd sure like to know more about THAT process!
Sorry, this is so ugly!!!

This must be a kitchen for a little old lady- it certainly lacks style and looks like the before picture not the after.

What the hell? The kitchen cabinets didn't even need changing as they looked good already - they could have probably spent it on a new hood.
Also, they have been successful in setting the kitchen back 20 years!

The kitchen is okay, but dining area is hideous, I would have just painted the walls yellow and did a stencil or continued the stripes.
Poor Joan I bet she got a major headache and dizzy spell, trying to put that wallpaper up.

Hate the wall paper. For my personal taste, I would have used a bit less red. Otherwise it's a nice space.

$497 to finish...not bad...how much to take it all off and make it look better...like it was before. ;p

I agree - It was better before. They would have been better just changing the floor and keep the light cabinates. (Just not the painted red floor!!!)
