When I was a sniper in the military we used to quickscope these rifles while running at the enemy. You see what we now have? Sitting down and hardscoping! They made men much tougher in my day. NB, Please don't email me asking about my experiences they are too horrific to tell anybody.
love the slow motion, and yea, muzzle blast can be a pain, especially for those standing/shooting next to you! lol...best to grab a bench all the way at the end away from anyone else.
That thing's bolt-action. Does Barret make bolt-actions and semi-autos? I heard that bolt action models are much cheaper to buy. I saw a semi-auto Barret on the home shopping network (no shit LOL) and it was like $3500. They had another .50 cal rifle that was bolt-action but was only half that price. What a bargain! LOL
Actually I think the $3500 was the single shot. Barret semi-autos go for over $9000. Holy shit. That's a lot of money to spend on a gun. Although it is the ultimate rifle.
theres a preatty cool bolt acton 50 sold by Safety Harbor Firearms for $2450.00 with a left side mounted 3 or 5 round mag. probably not as accurate and not as cool as the barrett but still a good little 50.

actually i woulnt mind being shot by that....i would be dead before the bullet hit me.....unlike 9mm...where if i got shot i would die but i would still be alive for a few minutes
you could die instantly with a 9mm, and getting hit with a .50 bmg in a non vital spot doesnt guarentee instant death, you would have to be really lucky and get hit in the foot or something
that is one of the most stupidest comments ever. a 9mm can kill instantly, even a 22lr can. "i would be dead before the bullet hit me" is stupid. the bullet has to hit you in order to kill you, go back to your games.
I have a custom .50 Browning, and with 4 shells I knocked down a 2 foot thick tree at about 100 yards. A .50 cal rifle is the strongest standard production rifle round on the market. More or less depending on manufacture
Not as bad with semi-auto, like a .50 black powder-the recoil is slower so less impactful - keep your mouth open when firing and tell the comrades to do the same.
lol. got to have a class license for one of those and there expensive. it's a fucking anti-material rifle. you don't go hunting deer with one of those lol.
Funny...that's exactly what I shoot: 3" slugs from a rifled shotgun. It' a horse's hoof to the right shoulder, but it'll kill near anything within 100 yds.

depends on the producer, and the bolt action one are probably single shot like most .50 bmg bolt action rifles.

how the fuck would you die before the bullet hit you? retard.

force from the bullet produces a lot of Connetic
energy the energy forces molecules out of the air pushing the matter next to you away from the bullet.

well actually the bullet is shot so fast that if it went by your face it would rip part of the skin off but ya it would have to hit ya to kill ya

that guns badass dude, .50 cal ammo too, like i said badass
halberd64 5 years ago
That's a thing spotter complain about; they have to sit right next to the muzzle break. Hurt's worse next to it than shooting it.

nice real nice ^^. Gotta love dat rifle

wow, is the .50 ammo expensive?
perrodeldesierto 5 years ago
I've seen Mil. surplus selling for about $2 a round, but that was some time ago.
wamba65 5 years ago
how does the recoil of that things feels?
perrodeldesierto 5 years ago
Comparable to a 12ga running 3"mags.
wamba65 5 years ago
so it's like shooting a 12 GA. with 3 1/2 mags
