I went to Nickelodeon studios at Universal back in '91 when I was 11 and they told us that the slime was edible. Probably water, food coloring/jello and something to thicken up the consistency

How did Christine get the nickname Moose? Well, I don't know. (slimed) Anyway that multicolored slime looks pretty colorful on stripes.

Moose was Christine's nickname in real life, not just on the show. It has been said that she got the nickname because of her short stature, but one cast member said that Christine hated her curly hair and was always trying to flatten it down with her hands, which made it look like she had "moose antlers." In any case, when Christine mentioned this nickname to the show's producers, they wrote it into the script of every show, so she must have had a REALLY hard time living it down.

If you watch the clip, she said, 'Insufficient data'...which was a computer's version of saying 'I don't know'. Part of the clip was to show that the slime was being computer controlled for that one scene. Doesn't make sense, but that was the brilliance of the show.

No mistake. It was part of the plot of the episode ("Families", from 1984). The boy (Jeff) is Ross's nephew, but Ross says that he can't get Jeff slimed or wet or "his mother will kill me!"

However, at the end of that very episode, Jeff says "I.D.K." and DOES get slimed.
