This is probably my favorite expert village video. Everything about it is great, from squeezing the wax through a crack in the bottle to the applicator which is either a paper towel or wet underwear.

I haven't learned this much about automotive maintenance since watching the Karate Kid!

You only need a thin layer!

Waxing in the sun dries it too fast to bond properly... has nothing to do with cracking the paint!

Waxing will NOT bring back the original colour, buffing/polishing will. Wax is just a protective shell that prevents weather and contaminants from being exposed to the paint surface. This will add some shine to the paint, but it won't make your heavily oxidised and swirled paint look new...

first of all polishing and waxxing are interly different things this video is terrible. You are supposed to polish the car before you wax it polishing is the deep cleaning waxing is a process of putting it on and taking it off you dont call that polishing. Waxing simply brings out alittle extra shine and keeps all your hard work intact and im going to laugh when one day he rounds the side of the car to "polish" the wax off and see that his paint is absolutely destroyed

This guy uses some folded up cloth to apply wax in a circular motion and spreads it on way too thick. This is all wrong. You use a foam applicator to spread wax evenly and smoothly, and THINLY. Wax is best applied back to front.
