  • i notice , fsih just dont feed much in winter

  • how long does that camera hold up?

  • @mikegoddard22 To be honest, I'm not sure. The manual says 8 hours, but I've never had it running more than 6 hours. For $20. more a person can buy another flasher type battery and double the run time if needed.

  • To be honest, I haven't tried. Too busy with a hook and line. I was out last Sunday looking around (October) and was surprised as to how well I could see in the Mighty Muddy Mississippi River. About 3 feet or so. I didn't get much on video, but I did capture a flathead swimming buy.

  • Once again great video bud, i got a marcum aswell, have u been able to find any flatheads in the summer months

  • is that a light just above the bait ?

  • @MrBigtower Yes, that's the light of the Marcum Camera

  • Huge treble hook. Good placement and a sudden jerk.

  • @maglio64 There's snagging laws in MN/WI. I was trying to show that flats don't eat in cold water (the wintering months) Snagging one is really kind pointless don't you think?

  • @idacatguides Kind of pointless? Why hell no it isnt, you say theire not eating well it does'nt mean they are dead. I have caught blues and flats in December, so I dont agree that they dont eat. Also the meat taste great dont you think?

  • @maglio64 How far South are you? Since we don't have Blues in MN, I'm going to have to assume you're in warmer water further South. Channels and Blues feed all year....

Once I see video proof of a flathead taking a bait in 40 degree water I'll change my mind. Until then I'm inclined to stick with the video proof they don't eat in cold water. (although they maybe snagged)

  • @idacatguides NE Oklahoma, where the grass is green and the girls are pretty and the flatheads are monsters. I dont have video proof, just fish in the freezer. Keep making the videos, I love them.

  • you should film in the spring and summer when they are active. It would be cool to see a flathead take that bait underwater. Nice video!

  • @TheMinnesotaNice I would love to MNNice, with the run off of spring the Mississippi goes back to being the Mighty Muddy Mississippi...can't see a thing.

  • Cant get the bait much closer than that! those cats are just laid out like cord wood down there.
