Shindand 2010-2011: The Boneyard is still there. We filmed a spirit commercial there for the 2010 Army/Navy Game. During filming, I found a Russian Officer's belt buckle. And, like a total amature, I picked the damn thing up not thinking that it might be boody trapped. A few months later, I was working as the base battle captain when the force protection teams cornered and captured an infiltrator hiding in the Boneyard.
Cor look at all that stuff, Ive been after a Radial for years to restore, and then theres 2 of em, lying in the Mud,
I was also after a wrecked cockpit to restore and take to shows to raise money for the Vets at home,it was just a little something i thought I could give back to those who risk it all every day .for freedom
I just watched all your videos. Wow. Im just starting out with my career and ive havent seen combat yet but the day will come, and im not looking forward to getting shot at but that comes with the territory. Thanks for risking your ass out there.
Yeah...and one day, in about 10 years somebody will make a video showing US planes in an Afghan graveyard as well. Afghan has NEVER been conquered thru out history, and NEVER will. Americans are so arrogant! Russian has 200K men there and still got their asses kicked. You really think the US with just 25K won't be any different? LOL
Firstly, there were never more than 108,000 Russian soldiers in-country at one time.Secondly, MOST of the ordinary run-of-the-mill afghans want us there cause where ever we go money/aid/food/jobs follow. Do we have the will to stay and finish what our politicians started? That is unknown. As for arrogance...hell I was just trying to stay alive. Who knows maybe your right about the aircraft, but I doubt it.
Wellllllll....sure you can, if you join the Army, go to Afghanistan, fight through the Taliban, then find your way onto a base patroled by the Afghan national army you can see all those relics. Sorry all of these were left by the Russians when they departed.
