  • The only Beatles movie I've seen that wasn't laughable or cringable was Nowhere Boy.

  • Are those the best actors they could find for paul and john? John looks like Jack Black.

  • one dream sweet dream came true today

  • The Paul nose scratch is dead on. But so is John's hand on his hip @ 6:47. You'll see plenty of pix of him standing around like that. I like Aidan Quinn and Jared Harris (lately of Mad Men). Neither look much like Paul and John, but if you can get pasy it, I think they do a credible job in their portrayals. I feel the same way about Aaron Johnson in Nowhere Boy. And Ian Hart looks more like Julian than John, but still closer to John than most of the other actors who've portrayed him.

  • to be honest "paul" sounds more like the real life ringo.... just saying..

  • 1:35 Paul: "I'm not trying to be rude...I just can't speak for John". NO ONE ever spoke for John, that's for sure!

  • "Take Mr. McCartney up to see Mr. Lennon." Epic

  • I wish they hadn't have gotten a homosexual to play John.

  • omg..... sounds like ringo!! XD

  • I saw this, making me forever thinkm of Adian Quinn as Paul McCartney...and then I saw "Benny & Joon." IT WAS LIKE AN ACID TRIP

  • Fail John Lennon imitation

  • This did actually happen. Paul McCartney paid several visits to the Dakota in 1977/78. The two men seemed have have gotten on well after such a bitter split in 1970. It is rumoured that John was astounded by Paul's success with his group 'Wings', personal wealth and latest record deal ($ 24.4 million) that he set Yoko a task of trying to equal it (to varying degrees of success)

Sadly, after these visits, the two men were destined never to meet again.

  • They should have gotten Stevie Riks to play Paul McCartney...dooooooooooo.

  • @jjp009 ahah heck ya!! XD

  • holy shit they are listening to 104.3 when john changes stations. thats the radio station i listen to in the shower

  • that yoko voice was perfect

  • John doesn't sound like John and Paul doesn't look like Paul. Sadface :(

    Great movie though

  • the guy being paul, sounds like a crappy john lennon impression. just saying.

  • im sorry but they do not look like them especially John Lennon but i like the way they were goin with this movie

  • did this movie actually happened?

  • @Marie15017 If you read the few beginning screens, it basically says this is a wild guess at what could have happened if Paul had visited John, as a rumor said he did.

  • @ScarfaceAsh Yeah, I know! What's he unbutton his shirt for? Haha.

  • A BEATLES movie with NO Beatles songs. Couldn't get the rights(guess MJ wasn't interested).

  • @Chrisdrumz its about john Lennon and Paul McCartney. Not the Beatles

  • @TheBSxperience Oh yeah,so I guess Beatles songs would be inappropriate. Well,it is titled "Two Of Us" which is itself a Beatles song. They shouldn't have titled it that because as you said it's NOT a Beatles movie? If they could've aquired the rights there would've been Beatles songs included.

  • @Chrisdrumz Thats true.....

  • Haha, they gave Paul's actor the bracelet too! Perfect! And I like the whole nose scratching thing. I've noticed in interviews that he does that. It's so cute!

  • What's with the unbuttoning of the shirt?

  • I really don't like how they potrayed John in this movie.. Paul is ok and the actor is really good with how Paul movie and his nose-scratching XD but the actor who plays John makes me HATE him, I dunno why, I just really HATE HIM! :P And I don't hate John, I love him! RIP ♥

  • yess

  • The guy sounds like Ringo more than Paul.

  • @Spoothead12 yeah because theyre trying to make a fake liverpool accent

  • HOLY SHIT! how did they get Elton John to play John Lennon!!!

  • This is... The best movie about anything associated with the Beatles that was not made by the Beatles.

  • Although the concept was very interesting... The Actors are just not good enough..

  • I saw this a couple times and I just bawled my eyes out. Beautifully done, even if it is largely fictional.

  • Really nice Movie, really I love it... Congratulation :)

  • dónde la puedo descargar subtitulada o doblada al español?

  • thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!! EVERYWHERE Ive serached for this movie and here it is! WONDERFUL!!!!

  • he does great as paul

  • john sounds irish.

  • Luvly, luv. Great movie, this is.

  • esta no lo habia visto

  • check him for drugs and send him up

  • help me im trapped inside this little box

  • Is that really paul because it does not look like him at all

  • @billysfan01 ok never mind i get it..

  • Ew.. the guy that plays John.. hate his voice.

  • I think they would have reunited for Live Aid in 1984 but of course we'll never know

  • lol the guy who plays Paulie sounds like Ringo

and he kinda does look like Matthew Broderick

  • @Twilightteen12295 Yeah, I thought it was Ringo on the radio.

  • Ian Hart as John lennon is overrated(I thought he was good, just not amazing). The guy who played John in Birth of the Beatles was fantastic(although that movie had many inaccuracies). The guy here does a pretty good job but he's nothing special. I'm still waiting for that perfect John actor

  • 0:51 Matthew Broderick?

  • HOLY SHIT. PAUL'S NOSE SCRATCH. It was just so perfectly done.

  • @nafruito S'true, y'know. Every time I watch a Beatles movie, the Paul's always bleeding perfect!

  • I didn't really like the guy who played Paul...his voice and look was off but everything else was great...his mannerisms and the speaking structure was great....but the voice was a mix between paul and a ringo impression

  • I think that they could have found people that resembled them more, but the guy who plays Paul did a good job with his voice, I'll give him credit for that. I'll watch the movie and see how I feel about it.

  • the guy that does john sounds nothing like him, but looks sorta like him

the one who does paul looks nothing like him, but sounds a lot better.

  • The finger in the eye with the mouth opened!!!!!!!!

    OMG, amazing.

    hahahahaha

  • "Help me I'm trapped inside this little box."

hahahahahahahahah, even though he looks nothing like John...that was a good line

  • 1:29

    that wasn't subtle at all

  • hey thanks for putting this up, i was looking for this for a while! thank you!

  • I give them credit for trying. But I think every Beatles fan will agree that this film has room for improvement.

  • lol completely agreed

  • 5:52. LOVE that reaction.

6:05. Doesn't have Lennon's voice but I can definitely picture John saying that.

  • Aiden Quinn did really pull this off. A clip later in the movie of him on the couch, it is uncanny. Movies kinda weak though.

  • I read what this movie is about and am confused... why are the "beatles" in it.... aint it about a teen kid... im confused... its nice tho...

  • I think there is another movie about a kid or something with the same name. So you probably read a description about that movie.

  • @rikadew It is because you read about another movie called "Two of us", filmed in 1987.

  • @rikadew There is a movie called Two of Us. Then there is a movie called The Two of Us. Your description is the second. This is the first.

  • @rikadew You are referring to a BBC's tv movie of 1997;really lovely with two finals. The one You can find on the web is the original one with an happy end.

  • @rikadew You are referring to a BBC's tv movie of 1997;really lovely with two finals. The one You can find on the web is the original one with an happy end.

  • This ia just insane - two poor ugly lads stand for Macca and John. There is a serious shortage of handsome actors,I see.

  • for some reason it seems that the movie is sad no ofense o.o...

  • this really is bad, these are not accurate representations of mccartney or lennon!

  • not at all !!

  • haha the guy playing paul is awful at the liverpool accent, he sounds more like Ringo in the later days! haha

  • christ this is so bad

  • "help me i'm trapped inside this little box" funny i have to quote lennon on that

  • reckon Stevie riks could have done a better job as Paul McCartney here

  • I disagree with the criticisms of Aidan Quinn. He's a good actor. It's sort of like Anthony Hopkins playing Nixon: he looks and sounds little like Paul, but has a skillful way of inhabiting the part so that after a while he's sold you on the IDEA of Paul. Can't say the other guy is quite so convincing. The accent is certainly wrong.

  • 'John''s body looks nice ;)

I have no idea who the mans name is so... I'll just say John out of convenience.

They didn't really look liek them, but the mannerisms were good.

  • that guy does play mccartney well. but he looks NOTHING like him.

  • I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not I like this movie. The actors are certainly great- they even got John's way of crossing his arms and Paul's way of scratching his nose perfectly. But the parts with John being so rude to his fans have made me dislike it; sure, he resented being famous, but he wasn't a jerk.

  • John was a genius and I love him but he was one of the biggest jerks to strap on a guitar...

  • Point taken...

  • @tyandshell79 Yes, it's a shame isn't it. I guess if people give you licence to act like a jerk though, you're bound to. Doesn't stop him being one of the three greatest songwriters ever (in my humble opinion)...Come to think of it the other two are kind of dicks too...

  • podrias subir esta pelicula con subtitulos al español?

  • Oooh, I wish VH1 was still cool x3

The actors have their mannerisms down pat, it's great.

  • But one thing they did get right was when Paul visited John, they never talked about the Beatles. At all. They talked about their kids and Paul caught John up on the latest gossip about British rock stars, which John loved.

  • A couple of historical inaccuracies. Paul did visit John several times in the 1970's, but always had Linda with him. Linda loved John (she called him "Ducky") and always pushed Paul to keep in touch with him. Also, John was never rude to fans. It was easier for him to smile, sign an autograph and move on. When asked about the Beatles, he'd always say "You never know."

  • Wow. Aidan Quinn's depiction of Paul is god-awful. I'm a 23-year-old girl, and I'm pretty sure I could do a better job mimicking his voice and mannerisms.

  • Thank you!! I have wanted to see it for so long!!!!

Also here there's john at the center of attention, and paul has to listen to him....

    But it's a beautiful movie

  • thank you! I thought I would never see this movie again.

  • Comment removed

  • i have been looking for this so damn long. thank you. you are now my hero.

  • ian hart doesnt look or sounds anything like lennon, too deep voice and scouse accent way too strong, but still better than this guy who is shit

  • awful accents

  • I love this fuckin' movie! Thanks for posting it, as I've been looking for it forever. Anyone know if its on DVD?

  • Amazon(.)com

  • been a while since i have seen this

  • I love this movie ^_^

At first I thought I wouldn't because the actors don't look like them, but they both pulled off John and Paul's personalities very well.

  • The part where John syas "Shite a Pig its Paul" has some truth to it.When John heard Comming Up on the raido for the first time in 1980 he said "Fuck a Pig its Paul".

  • He doesn't look like Lennon at all....why couldn't they have gotten Ian Hart from the movie "Backbeat"?? Hart is the spitting image of Lennon, and sounds like him too.

  • What's that emblem on his scarf? It looks cool.

  • John and Paul saw each other mulitple times in 1970s including this one in 1976. The last time was in 1978.

  • they don't really look like them, but they're imitating them very good

  • Thanks so much for uploading the whole film!! It's great but rare, now I don't have to resort to watching it on VHS.

I thought Jared Harris particuarly did an amazing performance as Lennon, really did it justice.

  • Thank you thank you thank you for uploading this I've been looking for it forever!!!

  • Both actors are immaculate and awesome. So great to see Richard Harris's son to be such a immense actor too.

  • McCartney actually did say, "The Beatles were a tough act to follow".

  • OMG when 'paul' scratches his nose in the interview it's just like the real one!

and i love it when John jumps up when he's sitting on the window and hears the ring

  • Re. Paul. Yeah I thought that too! I remember seeing him in interviews like when he did Anthology, and thought "OK, that's obviously a Paul thing to do." Then when I saw Aidan do it in the film I thought "They've definately done their homework!" LOL!

  • yes! (i havent actually watched the vids yet-- im just excited!)

thanks a million for this! been waitin' for it!

  • OMG finally someone!

  • I wish vh1 was still this cool.

  • This is awesome!

  • i must also thank you for uploading this :-D

lennon/mccartney the greatest songwriters to ever walk the face of the planet

  • OMG! I love you for uploading this! I've wanted to watch this a long time ago! *.* Thank you, thank you, thank you a billion times!!!

  • I love you. I love you for uploading this so much.
