you should toss that 20 pound head light and get a universal UFO or something of the same. They weigh about 7 pounds with bulbs and wiring, some are even less. Every 13 pounds you take off is another 1 HP

I agree with you on that, you don't see 929s or 954s around, at least by my way it's all gsxrs and kawis. I would change that tail fairing back to the stock 01 tail fairing but that's me, can't wait to get mine I got a whole list of things I'm gonna do to it

@NYcibbyRyder Yup! Same here..but bikes a bike in my book..I love them all. The fairings are all aftermarket from the previous owner. He put 2 piece shark skin fairings on :)

That's true but the 929's and the 954's were only two years apart not to mention the body styling of the two bikes is very unique and you don't see that particular body styling rolled over into ANY of the new cbr years at all. Not to mention the 929 has THE MOST trunk space out if any super bike I've ever seen!

i'm looking at both a 2003 954 & 2001 929 what should I get ? ? whick one is better ? its hard to find a 954 yellow & black but easy to find a 929 yellow & black....

They didnt make the 954's in the bumble bee paint...There are benefits for both bikes though..

Feel, look,,power..its really a rider decision. I would just suggest to go and test ride both bikes and see what fits your preferance the best.

@woollycroton go for the 929rr, they are cheaper and very unique. the 954 is nothing special

The 954 is just as special as the 929..they only made them for a limited time and you dont see them that much just like the 929s.

Its a personal preference thing though.

you can ride it in any weather...question is, is it safe..absolutly not!!

You can be riding in dry weather can cross a white cross walk line at a 5mph turn and slide out...went its wet, you slip in a straight line if your not careful...if its snowy your almost certain to drop it.

no u dont even need a permit, ive been riding with only my permit but in NY you have to be within 500-800ft of a license motorcyclist so i just go out riding with my friend

This bike is almost like mine, mines got a blue seat. Yellow with blue instead of black.. Very nice bikes.. ill post a vid of mine on here some time.. How fats have you gotten it to?

respectfully my answer...Fast enough hahaa!! Im not in for the high speed. I like smooth nice twisites...dont really roll around braking the speed limit.

BUT with that being said, After a couple maint. work and performance mods Ill be hitting up the friday night drags along with full track racing soon.

yea so far...Dragging will be a once and a while thing, just cause it runs the bike so hard so fast. Most will be kept at local track days.

Once my truck sells I will be considering a 2nd motorcycle. cbr or gsxr 1k..IF i end up doing that, Ill be doing full race fairings on the 929 and dedicating it to track.

they are aftermarket plastics..The only marking of the "honda" "cbr" or "929" are on the tri-clamp "honda" and on the front left and right side of the fairings its a ghost "929 rr" image
